Thinking of taking my DD & DS to WDW by myself

Thinking of taking my older two kids to WDW in September. DS will be 11 and DD will almost be 13. I have no doubt we'll have fun. I also know if something would happen to me, they are mature enough to either call 911 or find the appropriate adult. But of all things....I am worried about the bathroom situation. Sending DS into a restroom on his own freaks me out, you never know who's in the bathroom! Is that less of an issue at Disney? I doubt, there are strange people everywhere. Would it be ok to use the companion restroom? I heard lots of debate on that last month. Do I let a bathroom issue keep us from going? I may be over protective but nowadays you never know. What do you think?

Stand out side the door he will be fine! You can have him use the Bath rooms at liberty tree tavern. You can wait out side the door!

There are companion restrooms. If you are very concerned...just use those as the door to enter them is a locking door.

I think you should be okay though.

Oh dear, don't let the bathroom situation keep you from going. I'm a single mom of DS 13 and DS 10. I took them both last year (other years too) and DS had just turned 9. I'll tell you, yes, there are weirdo's everywhere, even Disney

If older DS wasn't available to take the younger one to the restroom, I took him in with me. That's right. Into the women's restroom we went. Most of the restrooms are huge, busy and no one even looked twice. I avoided doing this at the restrooms close to Spalsh Mt & Kali River Rapids to avoid running into females that might be drying off or changing clothes. Bottom line is I would rather get a few "evil" looks from complete strangers than worry about my son in the "happiest place on earch"!!! We just went in, did our business and left.
