thinking of buying - future add on question?

I have been lurking on the boards recently as DH and I are considering buying! Would someone please explain to me the adding points on process? We are thinking about buying what we can afford.meets our needs now. However, right now we don't have kids and are thinking that down the road we will need more points.

Are there disadvantages to adding on later? Is it hard to do? Is there a minimum point level? Any help is appreciated!

Adding on points is a quick and easy process, assuming the points are available from DVC. Sometimes you may have to waitlist until DVC acquires more points via ROFR.

Otherwise, you can purchase as few as 25 points (if paying cash/CC) or 50 points (if financing) and get the points added to your existing membership with your existing Use Year all within 24 hours.

As DVCMike has said it is so simple to do an addon takes hardly anytime at all to do it.
We dont have kids either and we Love DVC.

We don't have children either, we bought in a few months ago and are planning on adding on in the next couple of years. our friends, who also bought in when we did, (they came home with DVC after their first trip) are childless as well and are planning on adding on when Hawaii becomes available.
