Ok the questions are 1- how much does the points needed go up every year roughly? 2- How much does the fees go up? 3- Is it hard to get your home resort?Thanks

The points are not supposed to go up...although there has a been a point redistribution in the past couple of years. Honestly I have never had a problem getting my home resort at the 11 mo window but we don't typically go during the very busy times.

Same answer as immediately above. Technically, the points can't go up over the years. What they do instead is redistribute the points to better suit their needs. If they do push up the points at VWL for a week night stay in, say, the value season, then they have to correspondingly lower points somewhere else; thus, the point totals never actually go up.

As for the 11-month point, I've never tried to use it since I own at SSR but have always stayed somewhere else. Still, I've rarely had serious issues getting in at my preferred location at the 7-month point. Had to go on waitlist twice, but both times it came through.

I don't think most people have any trouble getting their home resort at the 11 month window. Some rare exceptions might be smaller resorts (e.g., BCV) at popular times (e.g., Food & Wine) or particular views (e.g., BWV standard view) at popular times.

We have booked at 11 months at our home resort SSR with no problem, and also changed resorts at the 7 month mark with little problem. We had to waitlist a day during Christmas week, but it came through 3-4 months before our trip.

The point reallocations that have occurred in the past 2 years were mostly about making weekends cost less points and weekdays more points, to try to balance out demand (since many members only wanted Sun-Thurs reservations due to the lower points). And there is a cap even on how much reallocation can be done in any year. But the total # of points at the resort does not change.

I own at BLT and made my July trip at Beach Club and Animal Kingdom Villas at 4 months out with no problems!

Not hard at all unless you are going during a holiday week... just call first thing inthe morning at 11 months out and it is pretty much a guarantee!!

I have owned since 1997 and have added on 4 times due to growing family... wish I had bought more points earlier!!
