Thinking of a trip over Halloween.

OK, I am out of DVC points, am thinking about going to DL. I am looking for ideas on which hotel, best discounts, and anything special going on during the Halloween time frame.. also, can anyone tell me if dis-saver is worth it?

Hotel? Stay at the GC. It is the only themed hotel on DLR property that resembles anything similar to WDW. Its like the WL but with a definite Frank Lloyd Wright feel. We have stayed there 2x and even though we live minutes from the resort, we feel like we're in Florida......we love it. All 3 restaurants are very good and the Hearthstone Lounge was a great place to unwind....

I don't know exactly when the Haunted Mansion gets its holiday makeover, but it is usually around Halloween. It is the best attraction. I like it better than the original...well almost better.
