Thinking about gifts for Christmas

Okay-its getting close enough to that time of year when I need to start thinking about Christmas presents because it will take me right up to Christmas Eve to actually get ready. The people I buy for are getting harder and harder each year. I hate buying a useless present just for the sake of buying something. My in-laws, my dad and his wife and my best friend are the hardest to buy for. Anyone have any great gift ideas? I'll share one-last year I went to an embridery type shop and bought an afghan with a family tree and had my in laws and their childrens families and grandkids all put on it. Turned out really beautiful and for once it was a gift that I felt good giving. I have absolutely no ideas for this year. One thing I'm going to do for one of my dd's is to buy some sort of container (fishing box or something) and fill it with craft goodies-chenille sticks, pom pom balls, glue, glitter, craft foam and whatever else I come across. Lets hear some other great ideas and all get a jump start on Christmas this year!!!

I do a family calendar.

I collect pictures from everyone or they e-mail their favorites.

I put the calendar together, with everyone's important dates also, then take it to a printer. it can run me about $20-$30 a piece, it seems like a big bill in the end, cause I make around 8 of them, but it goes for each family, rather then finding a present for 3 sisters and their husbands, plus parents, plus some nieces and nephews are in the 20's and want one this Christmas.

My mom is into Scrapbooking and I am gathering items for a "Scrapbooking Basket".
I also know she wants a new fancy "Christmas Sweater"
I think I will give it to her on Thanksgiving as part of her present.

That is it so far...I am going to watch QVC & HSN to see if I can find some unique things that I know would be great like, Thomas Kincade (my dad wants a lamp from him)
Also he wants that new Bridge (cards) calendar.
