Thinking a trip with no kids....still fun?

It's sad to say but I enjoyed doing Disney more with just my husband and no kids. It's so nice to just take your time, eat where and when you want and not have to adjust your schedule because of tired cranky kids. Hopefully some day we can do it again. For now, it's family time :-) Hope you can do it! Such a different experience.

Some of my favorite trips have been just with my husband. We get to do the things that we enjoy with nobody pushing us to run to the next thing. Picture slow walks around world showcase, sipping drinks, sampling something in every country. Sitting in the hot tub for long periods of time without worrying about watching kids in the pool. Sitting somewhere like Starring Rolls eating a mini breakfast without running to TSM. It is truly wonderful.

My boyfriend and I have booked our second trip for the end of the year (the first time we went was in 2012). We don't have any kids, so I can't really tell you a with kids vs. without kids comparison, but we have such a blast with the two of us. I'm a completely different person when I am in Disney, nothing bothers me, and I'm just so friendly and nice to everyone. Not that I'm a terrible person outside of Disney, but I definitely have cynical tendencies, and people get under my skin a lot easier when I'm in the "real world".

My wife and I are doing our first "No-kids" trip in 51 days! I am sad, and feel a little guilty about going without them. However, we both love Disney, and this is a way to reward ourselves after a stressful year. I can't wait!

And when some little person is having a meltdown.....you can smile and walk away.

I'm heading down in 53 days (not that I'm counting!) for my fourth trip with my boyfriend. We don't have kids, so I can't speak to that, but I can say that we really enjoy being in the WDW "bubble" with just eachother. It's the only place we go where we both completely disconnect from work and all of the outside stresses of the real world. Of course, doing everything you want to do at an adult pace is also a huge perk, but the biggest advantage for us is being able to get rid of the outside world for a week.

We also always make time to do something different/more adult each trip. This time we're doing Keys to the Kingdom. Can't wait!

We have way too much fun with our kids to go on vacation without them. We purposely waited seven years after we were married to have kids because we wanted to do some traveling together. We went to WDW, took a cruise, and lots of other trips. We've been traveling with the kids since they were born. Now that they're almost 16 and 19, I can see a time coming that they'll be busy and won't be able to travel with us. Until then, the boys are coming along. Even at their ages, I would never hear the end of it if we took a Disney vacation without them. They love it so much!:)

My husband and I do not have children so all of our trips together have been without kids, just the two of us. We have gone twice this passed year and we both loved every second of our time! We were on the go from rope drop til close everyday!!! We had so much time to just go with the flow and really enjoy each other! Love it!

Dh and I don't have any kids, we've gone 3 times and always had so much fun. We are planning our trip for November for F&W and we can't wait!

No kids, but I've been with family and with just me and Husband. And our trip with just the two of us was pure magic. Best of all my trips to WDW. Everything the way we wanted to do it, when we wanted to do it. Perfect. And...no meltdowns ;)

YOU WILL HAVE AN AWESOME TIME!!!!:cool1::banana::yay:

We adore our kids.....but we wanna play too!! ::woohoo:

.....and we only wanna play at DISNEY!!!!:dance3:

My wife and I left our kids w/ the grandparents one time for a week and went down. By not having them allowed us to fly and use ME to Pop. And we got to do alot more restaurants and Victoria's and Albert's. We are taking them next June, but go ahead w/o them and have a great time

DH and I are going in October kidless and we can't wait! Going to do MNSSHP on Friday night, Marceline to Magic Kingdom tour Saturday morning, Food & Wine Fest/visiting the countries Saturday afternoon/evening, a lazy day at DHS Sunday followed up with Fantasmic! (which I've never been to because the youngest gets scared) and then a leisurely trip to DTD for shopping and lunch Monday before heading home Monday night. My kids were upset at first, but we are going in June 2015 so that softened them up a bit. I think there's plenty of things to do kidless!!

My DH and I took a kidless trip in 2012. DH was very reluctant but I assured him we would have a blast and the kids would be fine. I was right ;).

It is now a yearly trip we take. We just set our pace. Nobody to make happy but us. It is fantastic on so many levels.

To add to my last post - our oldest was a week shy of 4 when we did our adult trip in May. We just didn't tell him where we were going. He loves going to Grandma's and Grandpa's, so we focused on the fact that he was getting time with them. The other 3 were too young to have a clue.
And when we FaceTimed with the kids, we made sure it was against a blank wall with no music in the background.:rolleyes1

We go to Disney quite a bit. Going again in sept.

Me and my wife are thinking of going to Disney in feb but with no kids.
It will be my bday. But also we want to do keys to,the kingdom tour and experience more of the countries in Epcot. Kids always seem to get tired and lazy around the countries.

Is the trip still fun with no kids? Would be my first trip anywhere with out them.
Was thinking a beach vacation also. But we go to beach every summer as well.

Disney without kids is awesome! DH won a trip thru work a couple years ago. It was really nice, his company put up a big group at the Yacht Club and they had a fancy adults only dinner. Since it was only 4 days long and during school ( it was in May ) we decided to leave the kids with grandma.

We got to move at a quicker pace. We got to do all of Epcot. We ate what we wanted. I love my kids but it was nice to do something that was just the two of us.

I did feel a bit guilty leaving the kids home. We did make it a point not to talk about the trip in front of the kids. Also, when we told them we were going we said it was for daddy's work (which it technically was). We brought each kid home a nice souvenir and they were fine.

Is a Disney trip fun with kids? I wouldn't know, I've never done it.

:thumbsup2

DH and I will be there in early Sept for a long weekend for our 15th anniversary. First time in over 10 years we've gone without kids and I am so excited! The kids know we are going and they actually took it better than I expected. But we just took them in March/April for spring break so it hasn't been that long since they were there.

We arrive on Thurs (our anniversary date) and have reservations for Artist Point. Then up to TOTWL for fireworks. Friday is our only park day and we've scheduled a KTTK tour then hop to Epcot for dinner at LeCellier. Sat is unscheduled except for Narcoosee's for dinner. We fly home Sun at 6:30.

Can't wait! Can't wait! Can't wait!

I've gone each trip without kids, and a few trips with just my Mom, or her & a friend of hers. There are tons of families that travel without kids and it is just as fun if not more!

You get to do all the things you want to do without getting sidetracked by a million potty breaks, a kid wanting a snack, seeing a toy they really really want. Epcot is definitely a place you'll spend more time, and I also HIGHLY recommend the KTTK tour, it's an incredible one that you'll learn a lot about Disney history and some cool facts in it!

MORE fun! No schedule, no one to worry about but each other, you just wait and see. Disney is a fantastic place to go as just adults. We did it for over 15 years before we took had kids. It's awesome.
