I am frustrated as all of the 'deals' (i.e. free dining, the bonus offers from the Disney Visa, etc.) all end on October 4th! We are going the middle of October and am dying to know if there will be any kind of specials for that period.

Any ideas?

Probably not. Because it becomes regular season. Right in the heart of the Food and Wine festival. Also the Golf thing is down there sometime.

Maybe AP rates but that has yet to be seen.

AP rates are almost always available (but things might be different now with the best guest crap)
One September (low season 2003) there wasn't a rate, but other then that, there has been one all the time since

Yes, I think there will be - but that's just my opinion :)

Only time will tell. You can believe it'll be all over these boards if it happens so keep checking.

Based on past history, I believe that new specials will be released the last week in August.

I don't know if they will cover the time you are there. They will most likely cover November and early December, and may cover other times.

I'm guessing it will be free dining again, but who knows.

I say no. Yes I believe the regular AP discounts will be released for Oct/Nov/Dec later this month. I don't believe there will be any other type of deals because the rooms are filling up without them. The pickings are already slim and with incentives like food and wine, MNSSHP, MVMCP, people are coming without the incentives.

Personally, I feel that if any discounts are released, they will be minimal (in # and in $). I would not rely on getting a code. I decided not to wait and booked with AAA so that I made sure I got the resort that I wanted for Oct. If the Best Rate Program is a success, AP codes will become like the inhabitants of Dinoland USA.

.
I've already booked plans for Nov. thru AAA with dining plan.

I emailed my AAA agent today and asked her a few questions about the free dining plan - whether it might come available and how to go about getting it if it does. She wrote back to me.....

I've checked with Disney about the free dining. This is what they have done in the past, and may do it the same way if it is extended. If it is, they will rebook the reservation, and apply the free meals. Yes, you could still get the AAA discount. I'll keep an eye on it, but if you see it first, please let me know and I'll call immediately.
