Think STITCH is fine.

I kinda liked Stitch, but cannot personally compare it to AE. To me the Chili dog was a little over the top, but I can see it in context with the character. I will probably see it again, just because I like the character.

Whenever something gets changed purists will detract from what is new. I understand that and do it myself. Enjoy it or don't, but it is going to be here for a while. I don't see Disney refurbishing it to something new quite yet

It is different from the viewpoint of a family that is new to the parks.

Our first trip was in '04, then again in '05..when we rode Stitch. We had never heard of/rode AE, so this was totally new to us.
Just like everything else at DW, to us the technology, theming & attention to detail made it worth doing.

Personally it was my least favorite ride (ok, I really despised the burp smell, it made me sick :rotfl: ) however I would never say that in front of my 7yo..he LOVED IT!
DH refused to ride it more than once, so I had to do it three times. :earseek:

i think stitch is funny...we love stitch and just to see him like that is cool..i mean the bit could be better..but we think it is cute..

Yes, it is VERY dark in points. You hear him, but you don't always see him. My 9 year old was slightly nervous, but he doesn't have a real adventurous personality. If you are concerned at all, ride it first by yourself, then decide. Or just skip it altogether. :cool1:

Thanks, Teacher! I'll definitely skip it, since we're doing a solo trip I'd have nobody to leave her with while I rode it, and if it's very dark (the way AE was) I know she wont like it. She is afraid of POC, that gives you an idea of how she is. Oh, and she wont ride on the TTA because "it's too scarey." She doesn't like the dark part when it goes into Space Mountain. LOL But on the other hand, all she keeps talking about is wanting to go on the Snow White ride this trip. I honestly don't remember ever riding that, but I imagine it's a little on the dark side, but heck if she's willing to try it I'll give it a shot!

Hi Equidade!!

Going off topic here, but had to ask.....did you have your wedding at spaceship earth? If so whereabouts? Sorry to be nosey!!

Hi Lesleyluvdisney-

I had my wedding reception in the Spaceship Earth VIP room (part of the same building as SE, just in an area out of guest's view at the exit point of the ride). It was wonderful and very memorable! :goodvibes

Oh yeah, the glass! It always sent chills up my spine. I loved that attraction. You definitely forget it's fake during those 5 - 7 minutes you're strapped in.
If only they'd bring it back...or make something just as scary...
