Think it will be crowded next week? (week after thanksgiving)

I noticed some posters on this thread who aren't going to The World until December 1, and staying for several days into December. That's not the week after Thanksgiving. I have gone to Disney during both the first and second weeks (different trips) of December, and found the parks to be very manageable, without too much of a wait for any attraction. Hope it stays that way this season for those posters as well.

But this holiday season I am spending the actual week after Thanksgiving at WDW, arriving on Monday, Nov. 27, and departing on Saturday, Dec. 2. THAT'S the week after Thanksgiving.

I am hoping that the crowds in the parks are not too huge, but have made my plans as though there will be crowds. Will report on this after I return home.

Enjoy.

We are going almost the same time you are - Monday 27th thru Sunday 3rd. We booked this because of the low crowds. Here's hoping!

We're flying in on Nov 29 and staying til Dec 3! We're hoping for some great weather and low crowds!!!! Can't wait!!!!

My uncle is coming down Dec 2-3 so I'm hoping for smooth sailing then, but my parents are coming to visit for the first time the 16th and 17th and I REALLY hope it's not bad then. TouringPlans DOT com says to expect a 6/10 crowd level that weekend, so it's not too bad.

Add us to the list for being there the week after Thanksgiving. We arrive on the 27th and leave on Dec 1st.

As far as crowds go... We (DW, DD, DS, and I) have gone to WDW Thanksgiving week 3 or 4 times. Last year for our 25th anniv, the DW and I took our 1st trip to WDW (since our honeymoon) w/o kids the week after Thanksgiving. When we got back the DW commented that it was the best trip ever and she enjoyed the lighter crowds. Skipping forward... about 2 weeks ago I decided we should go next week. Between when I decided I wanted to go and checked for availability, I hadn't approached the DW at that point, and when I made reservations last weekend.. the pickings became VERY slim at the Deluxe's. It seemed that there is plenty of availability at the moderates and values. To finish my long story... The daytime highs are supposed to be 77-80 all week long and I'll be on vacation at WDW. I'll be easy to spot, I'll be the forty-something year old male walking around like a little kid with a big smile on my face.

We are leaving tomorrow morning...expect moderate-high crowds until Sunday and then the following week should be fantastic! See you there! :thumbsup2

This is our 3rd year in a row going the week after Thanksgiving...and it has been great...Monday sometimes is crowded but otherwise it was great. We arrive Monday and leave the 1st as well.

Have a great time!!

We leave Sat. morning for our trip we will be there 26-1.

Good news: I ran into a recent manager of the GF. (he now runs a local hotel here, better pay.) He said he is going that week too. He said the crowds will be low.

I told him I was worried because of the rooms being all booked up, He said that Disney stays booked up through the year, esp. the delux hotels. He said when to worry is when Disney is booked and all the off property hotels are booked too. that is when it gets crowded. He estimates that the off property hotels are only at about 20 to 30% booked. He was able to check with his brand which has several properties around and confirmed that it was low at off property hotels.

We start our trip on Sunday (wanted those Thanksgiving crowds to clear out) and go through till 12/2. We are so excited! I'm prepared either way for crowds or not, but I think it will be fine. Anything is better than the year I went in July. ;)

This will be our third trip down for my older son's b-day (December 4th). We're heading down on the 30th and staying until the 6th. I've found the crowd levels to be (relatively) low. However, the Saturday after Thanksgiving weekend is when they film the parade for ABC. STAY AWAY from MK that day unless you want to be in the filming. MK gets CRAZY that day!!!

Other than that, the week days are fine. Weekends always get more crowded at DW.

Got about 143 hours until we leave...but who's counting? :cool1:

We are headed to the world on the 30th and staying until the 14th Dec when we leave for our cruise. We are getting amrried at the Yacht Club on the 5th. Really hope it is not too packed! small crowds i can deal with!

We were there last year and except for the Christmas Party, I thought crowds were low. The party was packed but that is expected. We will be there in two days!! :cool1: Have a great trip everyone!! :thumbsup2
