my cruise? Since Im going through menopause I have NO idea when to expect "things". Id really like not to have to worry about it when Im on my cruise in Nov.

If you're not currently on the Pill, that won't be a guarantee "things" won't come up.

Depending on which Pill is used, even new users can experience breakthrough bleeding so I don't think your using the Pill for that one week will help much at all if Aunt Flo comes knocking at your door.

If you're not on it, you may want to look at starting it ahead of time, but depending on your doc's attitude, he/she may not do it...if you're menopausal the possibility of the hormones going to town on your system may be mor ethan your doc wants you to deal with.

If menstrual flow is your only issue, why not see about getting a menstrual cup (www.keeper.com). Don't have to deal with a doc visit and will more than likely be cheaper than a month of the Pill.
