The mime.

Lets see.... a fat wallet, happy children at the end of the day, short lines during peak times, a Stitchless store, a non-face Character speaks to you, Scrapbooks that have refills that would be easy to find in your town, noone running you over with their stroller at the end of the Fireworks..... :rotfl:

lottery tickets. Not even at the Hess Gas stations on property.

And they DO have Cotton Candy. :goodvibes

Make-up!! I forgot my mascara last trip and was forced to try to wipe some of my liquid eyeliner on my lashes so that I wouldn't look dead in all our pictures!!

I think you're referring to the Living Statues act. If so, that was silent performance art but not a traditional mime act. (mimism?) In any case it's been discontinued. Thanks for the pointer though.

There are some fairly obvious things I haven't mentioned since I don't want to be a hog. But how about

cotton candy?

I really have no idea. It may be all over the place and I just never noticed. But I don't remember any.
They have cotton candy and there was at one point a traditional mime in France.

I even know the name of the mime: "Bubbles Nicholas." I hate mimes, so I wish there were none at Disney, but he is at Epcot on occasion.

I have one, though. No doors on the bathrooms in any park with the exception of the Animal Kingdom. I found this out on the Backstage Safari. Anybody want to guess why they only have doors on bathrooms at the Animal Kingdom when they don't have them in the other parks?

Something you'll never see is a Tomorrowland CM walking through Adventureland. They keep the "land" themes going strong by using those underground tunnels.

One more thing you don't see on Disney property is a Starbucks. NesCafe is everywhere.
Isnt there a Starbicks on the Swolfin? Technically that is property.

Wasn't there a mime in Epcot, probably my imagination, but I am sure I watched one in world showcase.

I recall a mime in Epcot, in France.

And there was a mime in Disneyland (New Orleans Square) for several years as well.

I've never been to the Swan-Dolphin, but if they have a Starbucks, I give it a big :thumbsup2
Thanks!

Overflowing, stinky trash cans. Uninterested teens loading you onto rides while yelling to each other about what they did last night. Things you find at regular amusement parks. Employees who can't answer a question for you and couldn't care less about helping you. That's why we keep going back to Disney. My husband does miss his Mountain Dew, though. ;)

I prefer diet pepsi too so I just get it offsite!

We saw a mime in Italy...striped white & red shirt, shorts, white face. He was interacting with the crowd, throwing hula hoops, had a long rope...kinda cute.

I never found sweetn'low either!

Cigarettes can be purchased at the gift shops (resorts, CSR at least). You have to ask because they keep them, lighters, & matches under the counter.

Visitors in their swimsuits strolling thru the parks (unlike other amusement parks in the country)...I like the fact that Disney visitors must dress appropriately ! :thumbsup2

I wear my bikini with shorts in all the theme parks and no one ever told me to go home and get dressed :confused3

Admittedly, I have a t-shirt with me and would wear it if I went to a restaurant or anywhere...

Whenever we go to a restaraunt or a store(Around Home) and get a particularly bad experience with an employee, my DW and I just look each other, shake our heads, and ask how long until WDW? pixiedust:

Sorry, I'm kind of changing the subject here but I just have to know...ericthewise--what happened to the living statues in Epcot? I love those guys and was hoping to show them to my family in 3 weeks...did they take a vacation or something?<< :confused3

baked potatoes
Actually they were sold in the MK in LS until recently. . . . .

There are doors on the restrooms inside of Cosmic Rays. . . I believe.

Hey Shelleymouse, you were right! They put doors on the bathrooms at the Animal Kingdom in case an animal gets loose. Can you imagine having to hide in the bathrooms? I'm sure it would never happen, though.
