(DS9, out in the hallway balcony, shouting to DS11 downstairs.) "Wait a minute, I have my own thing that I want to test!"

Anyone else?

OK, as if on cue, he just came in to say to me, "Mommy, does toilet paper catch on fire?"

BRB!

:rotfl: Oh, no!! Tell him, yes, it does- and he'd better not try it.

DD told a little friend who came over to play, "Oh, my house is always a mess". It's pretty much true, but I cringed when I heard that.

"Where's the first aid kit?"

DS and I were having a lovely hug and chat on his bed before lights out and he said..

" Wow,your eyes are reeeally wrinkly "

not over heard but trust me it made me cringe....also nearly made me cry !!

:sad1:

At the time DD10 to DS3

'Stop running! You're leaving a diarreha trail down the hallway!"

DH & I downstairs :scared1::scared1:

I can SOOO relate to this. I'm a school bus driver and the things I hear out of the kids these days would baffle you. And trust me, it's NOT just the older high school kids either. I've heard some of the worst language from the younger elementary and middle school students. Sad but oh so true.

As said to me by my then ds5..kindegarten..riding home on the bus everyday because he liked to be with his friends.

"Mom, Caleb called me gay today. I told him that was great because I think I am the happiest boy on the bus"...

I cringed...and said yes you are the happiest boy I know...

OMG same here. I swear if I could stop DD6 right here and keep her at this age forever I would in a heartbeat!

She was coloring one day and talking to herself and I asked her what she was doing and she told me it was none of my business. WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We had a nice long chat right there, and of course, someone at school had told her the same thing. UGH!

I used to teach at a school where the playground was divided by a fence with a hedge running down it, so you could only see half the kids at a time. I was on the playground side (sand, equipment) and 1/2 my kids were on the basketball court side when I hear everything over there get absolutely quiet and the words.

"Go get Ms. Mickey'snewestfan. She knows CPR".

I have never run so fast in my life!

I get over there and one of my little boys is holding a little bird that flew full speed into the basketball backboard -- they all look at me with utter confidence that I can fix it.

DD loudly taunting her cousin. "See! I told you it would fit up his nose!" :scared1:
