Things you forgot wen packing

oaky - so we are leaving in less than 10 days and I am off and packing.

I would love to hear some suggestions of things to bring that you may have forgot or never thought of on your trip. We are staying at OKW 1 bedroom for 8 days 7 nights with dh and almost 3 yr old.

I would love some "oh yeah - forgot about that" suggestions..

How about a small flashlight? They're great for really dark rides with little ones. Also wished I'd had one during last August's stay at AKL, as they turned the electricity off in the middle of the night and it was EXTREMELY difficult to find the facilities!!!

Extra coffee filters for the coffee pot. Brought the coffee,cream and sugar, but forgot the filters.

One time forgot to bring DH underware. I thought he had packed it and he thought I had packed, so neither of us packed it.

Extra Film (you can never have too much)
Plastic utensils & paper plates for room meals

A nightlight for the bathroom. Maybe an extra one to put in a hallway.

Small container of disenfecting wipes.
Shout stain wipes.
Travel packs of facial tissues.
Cold medicine. (With this, if I pack it, we don't get a cold. If I forget--we do.)
Folding umbrella.
Nail file (I always forget this!)

Batteries! I remembered all my rechargeables for the digital camera and the computer, but forgot about my Palm Pilot batteries.

Also, remember your regular glasses if you're wearing your prescription sunglasses when you leave home! DH complained through our entire trip because he couldn't see!

The thing I most commonly forget is a nightlight.

Don't forget allergy medicine, especially if you are traveling very far. It may not be allergy season where you live, but with all the pretty plants and flowers in the World, someone is bound to be allergic to something.
