Things you forgot wen packing

Definitely Nail Clippers. Some type of Rain Gear. We always carry it just in case.

One year I forgot my pj's. Went to get ready for bed and no pj's. Had to go buy a sleep shirt.

Batteries for camera, and anything else that needs batteries.

DB Washington, Great list!!!!:D

i always take an extension cord.....especially if you have a lot to plug in.....not many outlets in convenient spots in rooms.....(recharge video camera/cell phone/curling irons/hairdryers/recharge men's shavers.....etc......)

Here's good news on what NOT to pack. Since you have laundry facilities in your room, you don't need as many clothes. Remember to bring detergent tablets and dryer freshener sheets. Have a great trip!

On a related note, bring zip-lock baggies...a million uses.

We've decided that on our upcoming trip we're going to pack far less than usual, as far as clothing anyway. After every trip we marvel at what we "didn't wear". We'll see what happens.

Have fun.

Yeh, and that extension cord can be helpful when I need to strangle my annoying family members. We'll be sure to add that to the list :teeth:

Hee! This is a great thread! I'll have to print it out and refer to it often as I'm panic packing in about four days.

Scissors to cut moleskin is the one thing I forgot last year. The only scissors I could find were a pair of child's safety pinking scissors...made a big mess of the moleskin.

Last December I told myself that we would leave nothing behind. I checked and rechecked, even at 5:00 a.m. when we were leaving for the airport.

Needless to say, we checked in at POR and got ready to head over to the MK (DD4 was shaking with excitement). One problem - NO PARK HOPPER PASSES. Frantic, my wife called the front desk, and we were told to go to the ticket window at the MK and explain our problem. Thankfully, we were able to get replacement passes by giving our name and credit card numbers. While we were there, we also got replacement MVMCP passes that we also forgot.

When we arrived home, I found all of the missing passes on the dining room table, underneath the newspaper that I placed on top of them the night before we left!

Sounds like you lived my recurring pre vacation nightmare. Pretty good job of keeping your cool, though.

I admit I did not read through all of the posts, so sorry if these are repeated. Make sure you have all your insurance cards and what not current. Pack a thermometer!!

Our DS (2 1/2 on our first trip) got a 104 degree fever. We had to go to the ER. Then we had to go out and buy all the stuff that I have at home like the thermometer and medicines. I am making sure I use the antibiotic wipes on his hands a million times this next trip. That was a horrible experience.

I am not trying to spread doom. But there is just so many germs in a place like that.....and kids this age want to touch everything.

I think alcohol swabs are a little harsh on the skin especially a young child. Bath & Body works has hand sanitizer with moisturizers in it and I think that Johnson & Johnson also make some for the younger skin. I know the alcohol swabs I use for my diabetes testing always recks havoc on my hands. JMHO. :teeth:
