We will be buying a 3 day one park per day.
And also a 2 day for MK.
Trying to decide if we get just a 2 day ticket for all MK use or do we get a 2 day hopper. We would book afternoon LL at MK and then hop to Epcot or DS. Is that trying to do too much for an arrival day in June? Do evening lightening lanes times open up at those 2 parks?
The other day on the MK pass would be all day
LL commando hit it.

For our family, there are only 3 reasons we would hop.
1 - Just wanting to ride certain rides
2 - Want to have dinner at another park
3 - Only have 3 park days and we want to visit all 4 parks.
We much rather do 1 park a day and save the hopping $$ to use on something else. Even when we had AP's we rarely would hop, we much rather take our time and thoroughly enjoy the park we're in.

I would buy the 2 day then add the hopper when you’re there if you decide you want to hop.

Day 1, especially if it includes any travel, we have no desire to hop.

Also, you mention hopping to DS. Ds does not require any tickets so another reason not to purchase the hopper at this time.

You have DIS spirit! We love abbreviations around here!
DHS- Disney’s Hollywood Studios
DS- Disney Springs

And I second adding the hopper day of if you feel up to it. Afternoon in the park can be brutally exhausting during summer. You may do MK and find all you really want to do after is hit a monorail resort for dinner and crash after.

You’re asking about arrival day. One thing to consider is what time you will need to wake up in the morning to travel to Disney. That’s something to consider when planning how much you may wish to accomplish your first day.
