Things you didn't do and regreted

I regret not getting to Blizzard Beach earlier in day before we were rained out, and not breaking off from group to spend more time at World Showcase, would sip Chef Mickeys again and try LTT, regret not checking bus schedule for SOG and spending too much time at DTD trying to get back, and regret not seeing the Stunt show at MGM

This last trip was very long, so we did just about everything we wanted. I wish I had known more about Rafki's Plant Watch. We didn't go and now from the Dis boards it seems like something my family would of enjoyed.

Darn! That's my biggest regret too-not going to Rafiki's Planet Watch. We actually got on the train, rode all the way there, but then sitting felt so good, we stayed on the train and rode back. Now I wish I'd gotten off my duff and gone. My other big regret is not buying the CD of AK music. I must have picked it up and put it down about 3 times. Reason I didn't buy it? Although I have about 3 CD players at home, I didn't have a CD player in my car. Little did I know that DH was going to put a CD player in my car a week later (and how could he know? He wasn't on this WDW trip). So That AK CD is my first purchase at WDW next month!

I have so few regrets ...... still there is *ONE*. I love to pig out on the breakfast buffets, but one day I just had too much. I think I was at the Swan. The bacon was done as perfect as it can be. The taste was fantastic! I must have had 5 servings of bacon !! :earseek: As I was finishing my breakfast, my stomach just felt ...... uneasy. That bacon
worked on me all day, and by the time I went to bed that night, I could only sleep sitting up in the chair because of all the indigestion !

Lesson Learned !

I regret never going to the water parks. DD loves to do things like that. We will definately make time to spend a day at one of them on our next trip. Also we never got to see Illuminations. Hopefully we will see it in May.

I regret taking too long to find Le Cellier Steakhouse in EPCOT. We were on my 18th trip to WDW before we found it by accident. We came out of JIYI and there was an absolute downpour going on. We still wanted to get to The American Adventure show, and, while dodging huge puddles, decided to run into Canada just to take a break from the rain. This is when we found Le Cellier. They had no wait for a table, so we went right in. The food was so awesome and the portions huge. By the time we were done with dinner, we were just able to catch the last American Adventure show of the day. This was a great way to finish up a five-day visit to The World.

I love reading these posts. Don't stop now!
The last trip we went on my kids and I got sick. It's not really a regret because there was nothing we could do about it, but I spent most of our time at AK in the first aid station. So other than the safari ride I didn't see any of the park. However I plan to explore every inch of AK this time to make up for it. I don't care if people say it is a half day park...I plan to be there from open to close. :)

We didn't eat at the Brown Derby until the last night of this last trip... I was always put off by the menu and the prices.
Turns out we LOVED it. We had a great waiter (I wish I could remember his name, but he's from Louisiana and reminded me of a young Elvis. Not the sideburns, just the way he spoke.)
I would've eaten at the Brown Derby before now had I known how much I would've enjoyed it.

It's a very well kept secret - right out in the open - how wonderful this restaurant is. We never miss it! I'm glad you found it, but don't tell anybody else!!!
:cool1:

I regret that for one trip I was so engrossed in a writing project that I sent the family ahead of me most days and stayed behind in the room tapping away at the key board. Now, I'm all for relaxing at a very nice resort, but I wasn't even doing that! I was working! At WDW!!!

I regret not seeing the Osborn lights on our first December trip, thinking we would see them the next time. Our next time was when they didn't have them due to the motor car show construction, and so we still haven't seen them. I'm hoping for a December trip next year.

I also regret not finding out that Orlando was not covered in my cellular calling plan. My wife's calls to her parents were over $100 in roaming charges when we got our bill!

I could do without eating in Mexico again. Used to be a favorite, but last 2 times have been really bad for what you pay.

I could also do without MS, although this probably falls more under "disapointment". Seems like we waited so long for it, and so much money was spent developing it, yet we end up looking at a 20" tv screen while trying not to get nauseous - yipee

The last trip:
BTMRR
Splash Mountain
Share a Dream Come True Parade
Spectromagic Parade
Illuminations

Regrets?
*Rushing around and not taking the time to 'smell the roses'.
*Eating at the same places over and over, but they were good...Pecos Bill's chicken wraps were awesome especially in the hot summer!
*Not buying something when I saw it, thinking I would get back to get it 'later'...never happened
*Riding more rides with my dd(8)

but gonna try it all AGAIN in January!!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

I think it would probably be eating in the castle. I have two sons and they are not into the Princess thing. I would also like to do tea at the GF. My sister dragged her husband there this past Aug but she didn't think to ask me. She said next time she would.

I have an 8 yr old son and plan to eat at CRT anyway...for myself! :goodvibes

I didn't take the time to take my train loving DD4 and DS2 on the monorail. In January we WILL be riding the monorail and hopefully at least once up front!

Wishes and watching Tinkerbell fly. We missed that last summer, but made sure to watch last month when we went. We saved it for our last night at Disney. It made me cry  , it was a perfect end to our almost perfect trip. :cloud9:

Cookie, I'm ALL OVER THAT! My last trip was my family (me, dh, dd) my parents and my mother in law and my dh's GRANDMA! :earseek: HELLO?! Did someone slip me some bad crack or something? It actually went okay, MUCH better than I expected...but NEVER again. The STRESS was too much!

Not seeing Fantasmic, yet

Not eating at more of the sit down restaurants (DS is very, very picky)

Staying at AKL (waking up to the animals was great, but we were sooo far from the pool, restaurants, etc that it wasn't worth the money)

Not seeing more of the shows (Hall of presidents, the movies in the world showcase, etc)

Over planning what to do each day and feeling rushed to get everything done

My only regret for our trip last week was that we went way overboard on the commando touring. We were out of the room by 7 & not back until 10-11pm. We were there for 10 days & by the 7th or 8th day my kids were cranky & disagreeable. We all wanted to keep going but I regret not insisting that we go back to POR & swim or relax. 10 days was too long to go park hopping constantly...so for our next trip (hopefully next summer) I am going to plan more down/resort time.

I would have skip Stitch and go to Buzzlightyear and wait in line. I had a fast pass and when I went to Buzz, it was not working well and they closed the ride.

I regret not letting DD stand in line to see the princesses at toontown. It looked like a VERY long line (plus up until this point DD showed no interest in princesses) so I thought she would be fine with it. Later in the trip she confessed she would have loved to talk to a princess.

Next trip (January) we will defiantely wait in the line.
