Things you can't wait to see, eat, do...

Abolutely everything! It's our kids first time to DLR. I haven't been in oh about 20 yrs. Not much longer now...

:woohoo:

Heres the things I cant wait to do when I go in June.

- Stand in line in the morning as the sun hits the train station and you hear the bell of the train pull into mainstreet, & watch everyone waiting with anticipation, while we all listen to the entrance music and smell the fresh clean park smells.

- Since I am definately daddy's little girl, I cant wait to take my father who has never been to a Disney park in his life and is so excited to go, and sit with him on every ride and attraction to get his reactions, especially when he (Mr Indiana Jones) gets to ride Indie cause I know hes gonna think hes Mr. Jones, then have him ride the HM & POTC, and when he gets to meet his very favorite character Goofy for the first time that will be spectacular. Im not sure who is goofier, Dad or Goofy. I will have to buy my daddy a Goofy hat for sure.

- Walking down Main Street and watch the street entertainers

- Watching the parades and fireworks

- Sitting in the animation studio when my feet need a break, and close my eyes and feel the power of the disney music. Im a loser but yes i find it very over powering and emotional.

- Standing infront of the castle and also going on Splash Mountain and getting a family portrait of us going down the drop.

- Seeing the newly revamped Tom Sawyers Island which is supposed to be up when we go :yay:

- Also taking dad on Mr. Toads wild ride. Ive taken my mom but I want to at least say that I literally drove both my parents to Hell and back. :rotfl:

- Watching the Pirate entertainers in NOS

- Taking pictures I forgot to take last time & going on rides and seeing attractions that I have never been on or seen

- Hunting down my man whos gonna be so hard at work entertaining everyone... Captain Jack

I can't wait to:

~see: my kids reaction to our arrival at the gates. My DD (she's 5) already told me that she might "faint" when she sees DL. I'm not sure that she even knows what fainting is but she sure sounds cute saying it!

~eat: at Goofy's Kitchen & at the Blue Bayou....OH, who am I kidding! lol I can't wait to eat everything I have heard about on here & then some.

~do: EVERYTHING! :yay:

My wife and I took our sons to Dl back in 2004, for their very first visit. They were so excited about going there. We would go to the disney web site and look at the park before we left, so they could see what Disneyland looked like.
When we arrived I'll never forget the look on their faces, they were in such aw, my youngest son, who was8 at the time, looked around and said" wow this place is huge", my wife and I both laugh and I leaned down to him and had to tell Him" Son we're not in disneyland yet, this is the core door between Disneyland and california adventure land.
When we finaly got in the gates and walked under the train tressel into DownTown Disney, The look on their faces was worth every penny we spent on the trip. I showed them on the map where we were and realized that this was bigger then what they thoughtit was. After we walked down main street, and went on POTC, Haunted mansion, Thunder Mountain and Splash Mountain my oldest son took me by my hand and said" Thankyou dad.
I had so much fun with them, and I have to admit, whatching my family while we were there was ...magical

Andrew812 that is a wiinderful story. I hope that is how Nolan feels about Disneyland. I want him to feel the magic too. Thanks for sharing.

I love reading all of your "Can't wait" stories. It is getting me even more in the mood.

Thanks for replying everyone!

Sara

My wife and I are thinking of going to DL around Oct, nov 2007.Our sons are a little bit older and taller, when we told thm we were thinking about going back to DL Cameron, my youngest let out a WHOO HOO, " I can't wait to ride Thunder Mountain," and Connor, our oldest can't wait to ride POTC, after all they made some changes to it.
I think my wife and I enjoy the fact that we have as much fun as our kids, and my wife will go on just about every ride, she still wouldn't go on the Tower of terror. The most important reason i really love about DL, and it sounds weird, but everyone their seems to be a child again. Well at least I know I do:banana:

When I go to Disneyland I HAVE to ride Alice In Wonderland and the Matterhorn. To eat, the last few trips its been at the Blue Bayou. I also HAVE to have the first day just to kick back and relax at the hotel and Downtown Disney. :goodvibes
