I haven't been to Disneyland since I graduated from high school in 1991. My family and I are going to be visiting in April and I cannot stop thinking about the things that I can't wait to see, eat and do at Disneyland.

1. See Disneyland. I love the feeling you get as you walk up to the gates. I honestly feel like a giddy school girl.

2. Eat Churros! I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE these.

3. "DO" the rides...I can't wait to go on the Jungle Cruise and POTC.

Most importantly I cannot wait to experience Disneyland through the eyes of my son. He will be turning 4 three days before we go to DL and I hope he loves it as much as I do.

What can't you wait to see, eat and do on your next trip to DL?

I guess, though, if I have to pick...this is my children's first visit to DL. I can't wait to see their faces and feel their hands in mine as they experience everything for the first time. I can't wait to share the magic. It makes me tear up when I think about it.

I finally get to take them to my favorite place on Earth.

Goofy's kitchen
Nemo Subs
Pirates of the Carribean

I hadn't been to Disneyland since 1967 & we went two weeks ago (with my wife - who also grew up in SoCal -, her sister, & our 8 y/o son). The things we were tingling about seeing:

- First one to SEE the Matterhorn (from the road).
- Main Street.
- The Castle (which looked much smaller).
- The Jungle Ride.
- Mr. Toad. (which rocked :thumbsup2 )
- The outside of Small World.

Unfortunately, Tom Sawyer's Island was closed. Had to leave my coon skin hat at home. :(

hound :hippie:

  • Arriving at the gates 30+ minutes before opening in the cold morning
  • walking down Main Street to its music and scents.
  • Seeing the beautiful castle again and again
  • Having that butterfly feeling in my stomach

Only 19 more days! :cool1:

I love Bengal BBQ. I also love Main St. bakery chocolate crossaints.
But best of all is seeing my DD 5 and my DS 3 faces as we enter Fantasyland or Toon Town.:yay:

My wife and I took our sons to Dl back in 2004, for their very first visit. They were so excited about going there. We would go to the disney web site and look at the park before we left, so they could see what Disneyland looked like.
When we arrived I'll never forget the look on their faces, they were in such aw, my youngest son, who was8 at the time, looked around and said" wow this place is huge", my wife and I both laugh and I leaned down to him and had to tell Him" Son we're not in disneyland yet, this is the core door between Disneyland and california adventure land.
When we finaly got in the gates and walked under the train tressel into DownTown Disney, The look on their faces was worth every penny we spent on the trip. I showed them on the map where we were and realized that this was bigger then what they thoughtit was. After we walked down main street, and went on POTC, Haunted mansion, Thunder Mountain and Splash Mountain my oldest son took me by my hand and said" Thankyou dad.
I had so much fun with them, and I have to admit, whatching my family while we were there was ...magical

Andrew, what a great story!!

I haven't been to DLR since ........hmmm.. guess it's been that long!! LOL ( I am guessing about 18 yrs or so!! So, i can't wait to see it ALL!

I want to see SB's castle, and get some great pics! I have SOOO many shots of Cindy's castle, i need a great shot of SB Castle to put near it!

I also want to try a Dole Whip (drink though), as i have heard soooo much about them, however, might just have to do that in Nov. at WDW.. hmm.. lol.

I can't wait to show my dd all the things about DLR that I remember so much as a child (We use to go every 2 yrs).. esp. the matterhorn!!

I think the thing I can't wait to experience is watching DD celebrate her 5th birthday at Disneyland.

Just before Christmas we bought our first home and weren't sure we would be able to afford the trip in April so we told her we wouldn't be going. Her response was "That's ok, Mommy, I know it's costs a lot of money to go to Disneyland". She's such an amazing little girl.... I'm so happy that things worked out and we'll be able to take her afterall.

Only a week left until she finds out we're going! :)

I can't wait to

see .... my son's reaction to Disneyland. He already talks about the place 24 hours a day, I think he's going to be totally gobsmacked when he sees it in person

eat ..... lots, churros, garlic fries, frozen bananas, proper bacon (bacon in Australia sucks compared to american bacon)

do ..... Buzz Lightyear ride (my son LOVES Buzz) and for me Soarin' - that is my favourite ride EVER.
