Things to try in Miami after cruise

We will have 5-6 hours to spend in/around Miami before heading back to central Florida after our cruise in April. We have dd10 and grandparents. We have a car. I was thinking of a family friendly beach or other inexpensive way to extend the vacation feel for a few more hours. Any ideas or experiences? TIA

Southpoint Park/Beach & Joe's Stone Crabs in South Beach
Cuban friends have recommended Havana Harry's in Coral Gables & Merrick Park shopping center is nearby and nice to walk around

Breakfast at Big Pink and/or Cubano sandwich at Puerto Sagua. Walk in South Point Park. I think there is also a free beach near.

We did an Everglades tour, but we also had a couple days there. Traffic was horrible! We stayed on the beach which was amazing!
