hi, we are leaving next saturday going to OKW for our first trip as dvc owners,OKW is not our home resort but needed a grand villa. okay, on to my question, what kind of things do we need to pick up to take with us for our stay? thanks in advance for any suggestions. by the way we are trying to show the family members going with us what a good investment dvc is and from what i have heard there is no better place than OKW, i am so excited to see the GV and cant wait to see there faces when we walk in.
thanks, misty:bounce: :Pinkbounc   :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

I think you ought to stop by the BCV and pick me up, as we will be there at that same time. Will be in a studio and would love to try OKW GV. :)

Seriously, have a Grand time. We own at OKW and have not done a GV yet. Can't say that I have enough family that I would want to use all those points on. :)

One thing I can think of is lots of people mention taking their own fitted bottom sheets as the ones there are not fitted and don't stay on that well.

For the GV at OKW, you won't need to say a word to your guests. It will speak for itself!

At any DVC resort I bring a non-stick pan. I either bring one from home, I live in Fl, I drive, or I stop at Publix and buy one and then leave it in the unit when I leave.

The GV is equiped the same as any other unit, ypu need to bring coffee and filters, salt and pepper, Nestles Quick, etc.

We stayed there this past January and it was GORGEOUS! The ultimate in vacationing (in my opinion). We stayed at the AS Sports the year before so it was like night and day. This year we are staying in a 2bdrm at VWL and I'm sure I will think that is the best when I leave there. LOVE DVC!
We went shopping before we got there and the only thing I can add is that if you can pick up "disposable condiments" before your trip and bring them with you I think that would be a good thing. I bought bottles of syrup, ketchup, etc. and wound up throwing most of it away. If you can collect them before you go I think it would be less waste. Also, bring baggies if you want to pack a snack to bring to the parks with you. For the most part we ate breakfast in, all lunches out, ate leftovers from restaurants and cooked a couple of dinners.
