DH and I went to Princeton for the first time a few weekends ago, and it was really nice. We had our girls with us, so we didn't get to explore as much as we would have liked to, but we want to go back (ALONE). Any suggestions on where to eat and where some nice stores are? We parked on a street in what seemed to be the main town, and right across from where we parked was a Ralph Lauren, and the Newspaper stand.

TIA :flower3:

Hi! I spent four years prowling it, and there's no place I love like Princeton. Tell me a little bit about you and your husband so I can recommend a place? Are you looking for formal/romantic, easy/low key, and what kinds of hobbies and interests do you have?

Thanks!!!

Really, were pretty low key - we like funky fun stuff, very into asian decor. I love any kind of food, ethnic and all, but DH.... not so much!!! Don't want anything to expencive, just something nice with semi healthy food that has a good mix so maybe I could get something fusion and theres still a burger on the menu for him.

TIA!! :flower3:

I currently live in the area.... Some nice places are Teresa's Italian Cafe (not too pricy), Meditera (think mediterianian fusion) the best places around here aren't in downtown Princeton IMO. They're also on the more pricey side, there is one fifty three in Rocky Hill and Acacia in Lawrenceville.

Ok, if I were you, I'd go on a little mini-tour. Start out at Winberie's (on Palmer Square). Then, move across the street to the Yankee Doodle Tap Room. Finally, head down the alley (ask, anyone will show you where) and get burgers at the back bar at Alchemist and Barrister. :)

Thanks so much for the help!!!! Of course now DH says he wants to go into the city instead.... This is for my b-day, and hes deciding where we go!!! :lmao: I think hes changing things up because he knows that I'd rather go into the city, I'm just saying no because of the cost. Oh well, I'm sure we will get back to Princeton one day soon - thanks for the info!!!!!!!

Meditera has great food, but they are a bit pricey. It was worth it though.

We saw that place - it looked beautiful and was totally my kind of food. DH... not at all!!! He sees me eat hummus, and looks like hes going to gag!!!! :lmao:
