Things to do in Dover

Another vote for Canterbury. We stayed in Canterbury for a couple of nights before our cruise a couple of years ago. There is lots to see and is a pretty place to visit.

We really enjoyed touring Dover Castle and there’s a fantastic view of the Magic from the top of the castle! We were off the ship about 8:30 a.m. but the Castle doesn’t open until 10 which we didn’t know so had to kill some time at the base of the cliffs (we had a hired van driver for the day). If you want to see the WWII command and hospital tunnels, you need to sign up for a tour time.

We also went to Canterbury. We enjoyed lunch at a nice pub in the corner of the Butter Market.
