Things to check out @ AKL and CR

Hi! I have ADR's @ Chef Mickeys and Boma for my upcoming trip in Sep. I have never stayed @ either of these resorts. I was wondering if there is anything I should check out in each resort that is unique to these two resorts. Like, are there any special hidden mickeys I should look out for?

There really isn't that much to check-out at the Contemporary. Browse the shops and look at the giant mosaic inside. Watch the monorail pass through.

At AKL, lots to see in the lobby. And walk out the "back" end to see animals on the savannah.

Being able to view the animals at AKL is great. And a Mango Smoothie from the Mara is great too! As far as CR, I would go to the arcade as well as the shops.

What time is your Boma reservation? If it's an early one, take the free Culinary Tour (4pm meet outside of Jiko but check the Daily Activities Board). They will explain everything on the Boma buffet to you & give you samples to try - this is very helpful because there are a lot of different foods there. You will tour Jiko as well. I loved it!

AKL is our favorite resort....became hooked in 2002. There is lots to see in the lobby. Go a couple of flights up and check out the bridge to get a closer view of all the decor. They have a fire pit that you can enjoy at night, with the huge wood rocking chairs. There are areas to enjoy viewing the animals and at certain locations CMs can tell you about them. Just take your time and look around. My family is already booked to go back to AKL in June 2008.
