Things that everyone seems to love but you hate??

Had the plane crashed in a corn field, I'm sure that you would be a faithful viewer.
My apologies to just about everybody else, who will have no idea what I am talking about.

:lmao:

It's a Wonderful Life. It's almost unavoidable during the holidays. If I'm forced to watch, I spend most of the movie chanting, "Jump, Jump, Jump!"

video games
sending hearts & stuff on facebook
vacationing where it's cold
cooking

Beer, Wine, drinking alcohol in general, Miley Cyrus, Twilight, Harry Potter, Lobster.

Twilight (I do like True Blood though)
American Idol (most of them sound flat and off key to me. I liked Adam Lambert.)
Sitting on my butt and watching sports (I like playing sports/exercising not wasting time watching.)

Titanic-I begged my husband not to watch the second VHS tape when we rented it a million years ago, lol. I absolutely hate, hate, hate that movie and the crappy music that went with it!

Hey now! :sad2: That's one of my favorite movies. I can see why people don't like it but I love it so that's all that matters.

I don't like

Twilight. I won't give it a chance because I don't like vampires. I leafed through some pages at the store and it just looked like a badly written book.

Alcohol. The only two things I can tolerate are wine and beer. I hate shots and mixed drinks.

You know, I feel bad about this now--when the Crocodile Hunter show was on TV, I used to yell, "Bite him!" at the animals he handled. Then when an animal actually killed him, I felt bad. :(

Fortunately, it doesn't seem to be on anymore, but it was all I could do to not yell the same thing at "Bindi the Jungle Girl." Like father, like daughter.

Trips to New York City. I live in one of the other boroughs (not Manhattan), but I just don't understand the draw of the city. I actually HATE the city! It's always so crowded with tourists who just walk so slowly. Haha, you can tell who's a New Yorker and who's not because the real NYers just weave in and out of the masses of people. I also don't like using the subway and then walking everywhere because you can't find parking. I don't understand how they have the trips to NYC as prizes in contests. I'd take WDW over NYC any day and not just because I live here.

(Of course, it's not to say I hate the idea of the city ... everything available to you, open late at night like Pommes Frites and other good food places ... but once I get there, all I want to do is go home!)

I can see why they offer it as a prize. NYC has a lot of things that are historical such as the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island and the Empire State Building. There are also the broadway plays. Those things are what would draw me to NYC. I've only been once but would like to go back again.

Like you though, I'd go to WDW over NYC. :goodvibes

Twilight. I watched the movie - nothing happened? :confused3

Harry Potter. Although I do have an interest in the new Harry Potter land at Universal Studios :rotfl:

Games which involve war, zombies or shooting of any kind. In fact, violence or shooting of any kind :sad2:

Cooking.

Christmas decorations - I don't need to turn my home into a glitter/pine/Santa-fest for a month every year. We put up some nice cards we received and burnt a festive-smelling candle. Job done. Total cost: $2.

farmville.
fishworld.
mafiawars...

I will second that. I also hate all the gifts that are sent - drinks, pillows, hearts.

Next on my list.....
smoke
beer (most alcohol actually)
westerns and war movies
flying
tattoos

I just realized I am a really boring person.............lol:scared1:

People have added soooo many other things i agree with. Titanic is a good one (hated it also), sushi (the appeal of raw fish and/or seaweed is lost on me), NASCAR, etc.

any tv show that people go on and on about. If you have to schedule your life around TV maybe you need to re-evaluate things.
We did not even have an incomming TV signal for about four years. People did not know how to react to that. It was jsut beyond many people that we could enjoy life without following several TV shows. We still don't follow any of them.
WAL-MART! I hate that place!:headache: avoid it whenever I can.
Oh i can fully agree there. I refuse to support them at all.

I will add:
Monopoly--never cared for that game
Expensive purses
shoe shopping

I think my DS who just turned 11 is the oddest in our family. He doesn't want a game system of any kind. He has played them at friends' houses but tells me he just doesn't get why they are fun and why everyone wants them. Who am i to complain about that?

DD13 doesn't get the appeal of concerts--she thinks they are just too loud and too crowded and the music is not as good as at home.

Just thought of a few others:

American Idol or anything along those lines
basketball
coffee in general and Starbucks in particular. I can't even stand the smell of coffee.
CHI straightening irons. For real?! You're gonna spend more than $100 for a freaking straightening iron?
the color purple. Not the movie, the color. Same goes for orange.

NASCAR
Toby Keith
Celery
Kate Hudson

(but not necessarily in that order)
