Things that everyone seems to love but you hate??

Harry Potter. I read the books because I felt I had to, like I was missing out on something if I didn't

Grateful Dead

The Office

DH would say crocs :rotfl:

Harry Potter
Football
Rap crap...I can't even call it music

Tom Cruise. Even before he went all weird and jumped on the couch I just didn't get it. He's not sexy at all :crazy2:

Harry Potter
Shrimp/Lobster/any seafood really
Twilight movie - liked the books okay
True Blood -started watching it the same time as Dexter. LOVE Dexter, but don't understand the hype with True Blood
Uggs

ETA: Family Guy. Some shows are amusing, but my husband tends to put in on the nights where there's 4 shows on in a row. I want to rip my hair out.

Twilight
American Idol (although I love So You Think You Can Dance)
Drew Barrymore
Coconut
Seafood (of any kind)
I like Cameron Diaz but I don't really understand the "hype" about her
Lord of the Rings

Nascar ...I'd rather pull all of my own teeth out than have to watch cars driving around in a circle.

Bowling. It's fun to go out and play with friends but could there be anything more boring to watch?

Futuristic movies. Will the future really hold nothing but struggling against the bad guys, burned out demolished buildings and dark drab clothes? :laughing:What a thing to look forward to.

Vampire stuff, Twilight, etc.. I like my horror movies to be scary. I don't want the characters to be likable. Did I see a vampire driving in a clip? That would be just wrong.

Lord of the Rings. The little bald naked guy talking about precious was just too much. :scared: End of the world. Doom and gloom. Not entertaining to me.

Sushi. :scared: Yuck.

Smoking. There are still a lot of smokers! I can't stand smoke. I'm fine with people keeping it to themselves, but that is hard to do. I always marvel at smokers that roll down their windows and hold their cig out. If they love it so much, keep it in and the window up!

Too funny that I agree with hating on most of the stuff listed here already. Except the Beatles--how do you not love The Beatles?

I can be curmudgeonly so I'll have to list some more dislikes of mine:

I hate SUVs and ginormous "mini" vans. IMO gas price hikes were the best thing to happen to our roads since automatic transmissions.

Jon and Kate plus Eight! Ugh, how I hate seeing these people in the news!

GPS devices (Gimme a map!)

Facebook (I've tried to sign up; it makes me so nervous about my privacy.)

Disney related:
Test Track (I spend 4 hours a day in traffic, cars do not amuse me)

Soarin (might be whimsical if the movie was set in FL?)

The Polynesian resort (reminds me of when the Brady’s went to Hawaii)

Grand Floridian (reminds me of an old rich ladies house where you can’t touch anything)

Cinderella anything (the early princess stories = put me to sleep)

Le Cellier (it’s…a steakhouse)

Parades (I do not understand why peeps stake out spots for 6 hours prior)

I like these things but the way some people talk you’d think they were the best things ever.

Non Disney:
Reality tv/Talent shows. I do not get it. (Who ARE the Kardashians and why should I care?)

Seafood (and I’m from New England, the horror)

Beer (unless flavored w. pumpkin or blueberry)

Regular coffee (I only like flavored coffee)

Tacos (or anything with ground meat, ‘cept burgers)

Twilight (real Vampires don’t sparkle, k? Thanks.)

Boston area sports (I have never successfully stayed awake thru a Sox game)

Small children (90% of the time, I do not find their antics cute because I cherish quiet time.)

The musical stylings of Nickelback (I honestly can’t tell any of their songs apart)

Rap. (though I enjoy “collecting” bad rap lyrics such as “I’m commander in chief of the pim p ship” which is an actual lyric from a song I heard yesterday)

Going out on NYE. (it’s 10 degrees out and crowded. Me and crowds aren’t pals)

Religious themed Forwarded emails (Why do people continue to send me these??)

Fashion. (most of it is downright scary.)

and last but not least….
GOING TO THE GYM. I do not “get” it. I know people who go to the gym 14 times a week. It baffles me. I’m all for people being in shape and whatever floats their boat but unless you are training for something and working with a trainer, to me it seems silly to pay money to go somewhere when there are a bunch of free excercises you can do at home.

Twilight
Harry Potter
Sci-Fi
sushi
pretty much any game on Facebook

Baseball
Turkey dinner
Most reality tv shows
Starbucks

I agree.

I read on the DIS that people they refer to Starbucks as Charbucks. It's fits! It's the worst (expensive) burnt coffee I've ever had. Burnt, burnt, burnt. Burnt beyond repair.

So many of mine have already been mentioned:

Harry Potter
Twilight
Cheese
Sushi
Sports
Reality shows

and I'll add to these:

Action movies
Matthew McConaughey
Law & Order, CSI, etc

Titanic-I begged my husband not to watch the second VHS tape when we rented it a million years ago, lol. I absolutely hate, hate, hate that movie and the crappy music that went with it!

:cool1: Some else who hate Titanic, that film offended so many of the children and grandchildren of the survivors. The film company gave £5000 to the charity in the town that Second officer Murdoch lived in because the way he was portrayed was so offensive.
My other dislikes
Friends
chick flicks
Coffee
True Blood

WAL-MART! I hate that place!:headache: avoid it whenever I can.
Twilight
Survivor
Grey's Anatomy
Extreme Makeover - Home Edition

I can't stand any kind of award show (grammys...oscars...) or contest talent show like dancing with the stars or american idol.

Is it just me or is Starbucks coffee completely burnt??? I think thats why everybody has to have some flavored latte double shot special drink to hide the taste of that putrid brew.

Everyone i know seems to LOVE Stephen King but i just can't get into reading his books. to me, i feel like he over-explains everything to the point of i forget what i was even reading about in the first place....

... that's okay - you love Orli and DC, and that's good enough for ME...;)

1. All of the crime shows - CSI, NCIS, etc. - Too much brainpower is needed to follow some of these shows. I'm much too simple minded for them. It's reality t.v. for me.

2. Harry Potter novels - I have only read the first two, but I they just felt long and boring to me. For me, the movies were better because they cut out a lot of the fat.

3. Basketball - I enjoy baseball, football, hockey; tennis. I don't have an explanation for my utter boredom with basketball.

4. Coffee - To me, it has always tasted like dirt.

5. Lollipops, jolly ranchers, gummi bears; etc.(anything that has the potential to make your hands sticky or gooey) - This has to be a mental thing with me. It has been since childhood. The taste of these foods is fine, but if when I feel my fingers get sticky as a result, I freak.
