Okay everyone we are leaving in less than 2 weeks. Can you please post what things I need to know from little side shows (times and where they are located at) that aren't printed in the times guide to any tip you have for us. We are going June 10th-18th.

Don't miss seeing the E-ticket attractions with enough time to do them again.

Don't miss seeing the night shows with good viewing spots.

I don't have any specifics for you as my trip isn't until Sept but here are a couple things I've read about and made mental notes to do while we're there

I would say find a really good spot just to relax, take in the sights and sounds and enjoy some good ol' fashion people watching. Take a look at the windows on Main Street as they are the names of actual people who had major impacts on the Park (I believe you can get a listing of the windows from City Hall). I don't have a Hidden Mickey book yet but I'm thinking I might pick up one before our trip because that sounds like a little bit of fun to have since you'll get to be there for so long. Stop by and see the wishing well over at the little Snow White grotto area next to the castle. Get a silhouette done on Main Street.

Take a few minutes and admire Pixie Hollow at night when Tink and friends are gone. It's really quiet and pretty - the lighting is beautiful!

Go to Coke Corner around 2:30 to watch Alice, the Mad Hatter & the Red Queen play Musical Chairs.

Take in the Flag Retreat Ceremony from up on the Main Street Train Station platform.....great view & they have benches up there you can sit & watch as the Disneyland Band comes marching up Main Street.

Drop coins into the Wishing Well to the right of the castle.....the money goes to the Make A Wish Foundation.

Do the Animation Academy in the Animation Building (every 30 mins on the Hour & Half Hour)......you draw your own character, taught by an actual Disney Animator.

Don't miss World of Color & Star Tours & the new parade course :goodvibes

Eat Plaza Inn's fried chicken, so yummy.

Have tons of fun!

Join Mary Poppins and friends in front of the Castle....I want to say 2pm, but I could be a bit off, so perhaps ask a CM to be sure.

Then at 2:30 at Coke Corner Alice and Mad Hatter are usually stirring up something, lol.

Keep an eye out for large crowds of people gathered around because that usually indicates something is happening....and many people just rush past on their way to a ride. Often this little distraction is worth the delay. I still remember when "Push" the talking trashcan was wandering about....the kids really wanted to get to Space Mountain instead but I wanted to see him.....not only is he hilarious but Cinderella and her Prince stopped by and we had been trying to catch that Prince all week.....we'd have missed him and Push! Now they listen when I say we need to watch this or see that, lol.

Enjoy your time....and while yes, you'll be there a week so you should have time to ride everything.....Disney Time moves much much faster than regular time (except when waiting for parades when it slows to a crawl)...so don't put off doing things important to you, because suddenly it's time to go home!!

dont miss small world when fireworks are going off they have a light show on small world :)

This thread is getting me excited for our trip next week...6/6 &6/7 and 6/9 at DL/DCA, with days all around SoCal that week. I have not been to DL since 1995! I am a huge Walt fan and my DD wants to be an animator, this trip is to celebrate her high school graduation.

I had a little windfall, so I sprung for the Fantasmic Dessert seating...wow:eek::eek::eek:expensive on 6/7 as a surprise for the family and WOC picnic 6:eek:/9....also a suprise. My DS, 13, is a huge TRON fan, so we are doing the Electronica 6/6.

I am sooooo excited! I really do not care how many rides we get on, to me its all about the atmosphere and the Waltesque feelings. I am hoping to take the DS on Indy & Star Tours. No stress...we've had 3 great trips to WDW, so its all gravy!

Take in the Flag Retreat Ceremony from up on the Main Street Train Station platform.....great view & they have benches up there you can sit & watch as the Disneyland Band comes marching up Main Street.
I couldn't agree more! We caught this by accident last month (right place, right time). I had no idea this happened daily at DL. It brought tears to my eyes to see our veterans honored like this. Make sure you see it. You won't be sorry!

Some Dis-ers have Billy Hill & the Hillbillies on their Don't-Miss List. I added it to mine for this trip.

Be sure not to miss Billy Hill and Hillbillies in DL and Turtle Talk with Crush in DCA. It is only just me and DH and we still make sure to see Turtle Talk each time we are there.

You must get a Dole Whip float!

Catch one of the Laughing Stock shows in front of the Golden Horseshoe. The actors are hilarious. I never knew about it until my last trip and happened upon it in passing.

If you have an iPhone, download the Wishing Star app. I discovered a lot of little secrets by using that app.

You'll have enough time to ride all the rides so don't stress that. Make sure to catch WOC, and check out the animation building at DCA. The Golden Horseshoe and taking a ride on the DLRR are always musts for me.

Thanks everyone...this was exactly what we were looking for. Didn't want to miss the small things that pop up around the park that new DL guests wouldn't know about. So excited...we are going shopping today for last minute things and get pedis!:dance3::banana::banana::banana::dance3:
