We have never been to Epcot before. We have a PS for Akershus at 1 pm.
This is going to be one of our casual days since we will be up late the night before for Fantasmic.

DS has decided the only ride he really wants is TT (thank heavens he has backed off on MS).

We will probably hit Maelstrum and the Mexico ride...

Any other suggestions for a sort of strolling around tour for us? We plan to get there between 9 and 10, hit FW between 11 and 12 and probably go back for a swim at the pool after lunch.

Any suggestions for little known activities would be great!

make sure you get your kids the Epcot passport. They are old enough that they will really enjoy it.

This is my daughters FAVORITE park. She is 8. She loved getting to meet people from other countries.

Have a great time!

I took my nine year old cousin and she loved getting her passport stamped in every country. Each person wrote her a message in their native language. It kept her busy while we toured World Showcase and also made a really nice keepsake for her scrapbook. :wizard:

Hi Liveforthemagic,

I'm not sure when you are going, but if it is a peak time and you are arriving at Epcot between 9 and 10, I would not count on getting a FP to Test Track that will be valid before you leave the park for a swim, and almost certainly not before you plan to be in FW...

That espeically holds true if it is an EMH morning and you get there after 9.

a 7 and 9 year old will probably enjoy soarin, imagination, the ice station.
I would highly recommend seeing illuminations around park closing, so you would need to get your hand stamped to reenter later. Illuminations is outstanding!

Depending on your children's fear or love for Dinosours, they may like Universe of Energy as well. (a.k.a Ellen's Energy Adventure). A portion of the ride has animitronic dinosours in it.

Honey I Shrunk the Audience is a cute 3-D movie that might be fun. :3dglasses My two love going on ALL of the Future World rides. They have ridden them since they were each 2 yrs. old (of course there were some rides they had to grow tall enough to do) and now they are 19 and 12 yrs. (girl and boy). They love MS and so do I! Even if you don't go on the MS ride, go into the play area because they have a great cooperative computer game that my kids loved playing with everyone else. They have some individual computer games that were fun too that would be good for their ages. Also, my son loved Innoventions because of all of the Play Station games. There's more so much to do in there it could keep him occupied for days! Another suggestion is Ice Station Cool with the free Coca Cola beverages from around the world, but beware of Beverly (YUCK! :crazy2: )

There is a great spot before you enter the World Showcase where the kids can play in the water fountains that spring up from the ground. My niece loved this better than the rides lol. Also, don't forget Innoventions. Tons and tons of stuff to do in there. And always a nice place to cool off on a hot day. If you're going to be there during the Flower Festival, there are tons of kid oriented activities going on. Butterfly releases, mazes, etc. Also, getting the kids to look for Hidden Mickey's is always a blast. Have a great time!!!- Nancy
