Ugghhh.......why do these things happen at the worst times!!!! I lost a filling a few days back. Put off calling the dentist (that probably explains why this happened at the worst time....I let it!). It wasn't hurting, and tomorrow is the People Like Me Down Syndrome Association's first family meeting/picnic, so I figured I'd call the dentist once I was done putting this all together!! Bad, bad decision!!

Yesterday, the tooth starts hurting. It has absessed and the infection is up into my sinus, so I have a raging tooth and sinus infection, and I hurt like crazy. They put me on antibiotics and pain meds and I go Monday for a root canal. In the meantime, I have to shop in the morning for the rest of the stuff I need for the picnic and I have about 25 different paperwork pieces that I need to print up!!

As to the picnic, I don't know how many families are planning on showing up since I really don't know how many families are in the area. I do have confimed with about six families, but that's just because they happen to see me or my cofounder and said "Oh, we saw you in the paper! We're coming to your picnic!" Ay-yi-yi!!! I am so stressing!!!

Anyway, wish me lots and lots of luck for a successful picnic with lots of families showing up. Heidi and I have so many hopes and plans for this group and have put in a lot of work to get to this point, so we really want a good turnout!!!

It seems like when it rains it pours. I hope the medicine works and you will be feeling better for the picnic. What a wonderful thing you are trying to start up. Here's a little pixie dust pixiedust: just in case. You can never have enough of that stuff. :thumbsup2

I'm sorry for your situation. I've had a lousy week too. I am a paralegal and we've been in trial all week and our client fell apart on the stand. He was admitting to the most ridiculous things. He even admitted to owning rental property that he doesn't own :confused3 .

Oh goodness! I just went through this not long ago but with a cracked tooth that absessed. Give your antibotics 24 hours and you'll start to feel better.

Good luck with your picnic!!!

Toothaches are awful! Just the worst! Hope you're all better soon. :)

If you ever need help with mailings or whatever for your People Like Me group, let me know. :)

I just took care of the nicest young man with Down's. Kinda drove me crazy after he pooped the bed and said his mom was going to kill him. I said she wouldn't, he said she would. I said we didn't have to tell her, he said we did because it was the TRUTH. I said he was a good young man to tell mom the truth, he said he couldn't because she'd kill him.

After about 15 minutes of THAT I wanted to kill him myself ;) , but still...he will remain one of my most memorable patients. Really liked him and would like to do something to honor his memory.

Prayers, ((hugs)) and :wizard: that your picnic/meeting is a big success, your meds work fast so you won't be in agony and that the weather is great. Take a deep breath, the man above knows you've done a great job and all your hard work will pay off sweetie. :goodvibes
