THEY'RE NOT GONNA MAKE IT! A tale from 2 cities!! THE END! pg 32

Ah - your last day. *sniff sniff*

So cool that Dale came and met you both. How sweet. What a great dad. And what a great tease - Disney world for just one night. That's tough.

So how was that hot dog?

The gluten free burger actually looks pretty good.

Love the pictures of the BC area!

I know :worried:

He is a really great dad and husband. We're lucky we have him :)

So how was that hot dog?

The gluten free burger actually looks pretty good.

Love the pictures of the BC area!

We both enjoyed our lunches and the hot dog was quite good.

This trip report is getting near the end as we are up to our last full day in WDW. This also meant it was the last full day we would have together before Caitlin moved across the country. As you might imagine the day was pretty emotional :(

I can imagine it was emotional.

Your last day at WDW! Oh, man! That's always so hard...

Yeah, yeah. Your kid's moving away, too... but...

You're last day at WDW!!! Oh, the horror!

:rolleyes1:

You see it was supposed to have been a family trip but his company blacked out that week for management to take vacation so that stopped him from being there the whole week.

I'm sorry... what?
Management decides to let all the managers go on vacation so no one else can go?

Really?

Wow.

However, with Caitlin moving he decided to just come for one night and see her off and make sure I got home and didn't run away with her ;)

I suspect that was a definite possibility!

On this particular morning we were headed to Disney's Hollywood Studios. We left the hotel about 8am and at 8:45 the park opened. (yes they say it opens at 9 but they are tricky and really open 15 min early!)

Always nice to be in the know. I love going early and then watching the rest of the pack stand in line for hours in the hot afternoon sun.

Like everybody else who is at DHS at opening we headed straight here

One day. Just one day. I'd like to go early to DHS and not go there 1st.

Nah. Never happen.

In the queue she noticed they are now promoting Disney Channel stars

Uh, oh. My DDs must be getting older, 'cause I have no idea who those people are!

The rest of the ride is the same though

Never noticed that one before.

We walked on TSM again! Score! And this time yours truly was the victor!! No need to cheer. I know you were rooting for me to beat her ::yes::

Three? THREE walk ons! Plus you still have your FP?

Well, I'm impressed.

Plus way to go on your victory!

(psst. Caitlin. Nice job on letting your mom win one so she'd feel better about her TSM scoring abilities. But don't tell her I said so, okay?)

I just love Sully. He is like a big, cuddly teddy bear.

So I can assume that Dale does not read these TRs, then?

She is much cuter than that mean old Darth Vader

Yes. I think we'd all have to agree with you.

We got a boat and headed here

So, that's your boat in the foreground?

Nice.

And if you turned around and looked the other way you would see this

One of these days I'm gonna get there.

After taking some pictures and soaking in all the beauty we headed into Beaches and Cream for lunch.

Well, there's my number 1 Disney bucket list item.

Caitlin had this. I'm not sure what it is but you can believe me that it is some sort of healthy gluten free thing :crazy2:

:lmao:

I on the other hand, have quite the gourmet palate and ordered this delicacy

That dog looks really good.

When we finished we headed over to Epcot's "secret" back entrance

sshhhh.... not so loud.

It's a secret.

Yep! That is a drunken Dole Whip float. She thoroughly enjoyed it!

I'm not a fan of rum, so I don't think it would be for me, but....

Last weekend we headed 45 minutes out of town to our favorite hot dog place. They always advertise that they have dole whip but either the machine isn't working, it's not being sold that time of year or they don't have the pineapple flavour.

Well this time they did! Woot!

No pineapple juice for a dole whip float, but still...

This seems like a good place to stop so I will let Caitin tell you more next time. Thanks for

Thanks for posting! :goodvibes

Wow.
When I reread that I saw I didn't explain it very well :rotfl: Corporate decided managers could not take vacation that week. They were announcing some company changes etc and wanted all management available.

I suspect that was a definite possibility!

Yea kinda!

That is probably one of the benefits to the kids getting older :)

Oooo a Dole Whip close to home, nice! Thanks for reading!

Caught up on the last couple of updates.

I love how you are all color-coordinated for the Wreck-it Ralph meet. Caitlin matches the girl and your shirt matches the green in Caitlin's outfit. Although Dawn's shirt would have been better the next day.

My 12 year old loves the Back Lot Tour. When we did it this summer, there was lightning in the area so they had to cut out the audience participation and a lot of the Pearl Harbor set.

I love that picture of Gertie. Don't usually see her from that vantage point.

Wow!!! 3 TSMs. That is awesome. And spreading the wins out is nice too.

Fantastic queue pictures in RNR. I haven't see the Wash This Way sign before either. Love it!

Beautiful pictures of the BW and YC/BC resorts from the Friendship boat. Your meals at Beaches & Cream looked great. As another follower of your TRs is know to say...

Haven't been there or done that!

The only time I have been to B&C is when they had a trial breakfast offering in July 2009. I wish they had kept that QS option at the resort!

Glad you're all caught up:)

We usually try to coordinate our outfits because I think it looks nicer in the pictures.

Aww that's the best part!

Yep we lucked out that morning!

B&C is a cute little spot but not worth a dining credit. Whenever we eat there we pay oop

Hey everyone! I hope everyone is doing well! There have been some changes around here! After getting my school schedules it turns out we will be going to Disney from November 4-10!!! I am very excited! We are now getting the chance to meet the super talented photographer MEK and getting to see Hanson!!!! If anyone else will be there during our dates let us know!

When we last left off dad had just shown up so after our hellos we headed to get him some food!

It looks like we showed him the topiaries first though

Then we ended up in The Land to get him some food

Slow-roasted Pork Chop - with cheddar mashed potatoes and BBQ sauce $12.49 and the strawberry shortcake

Mom wanted me to highlight how great a use of a counter service credit this was.

It looks like a very good first Disney meal!

Then we headed back out to World Showcase!

But first stopped to see two very talented young men

and get our free Disney visa picture!

We love these! They are in a cute location and you get a free 5x7 of the picture so it works out great!

Now we were on our way out!

I was very excited for some drinking around the world with my dad! This was our first time drinking together in Disney!

Although it was dad's first time seeing the topiaries so of course he had to stop for pictures!

Our first stop led us here

Where I chose this

The infamous Jalapeno Margarita!!!

I hate to break it to everyone but it was horrible!!! The spicy mixed with the sweet omg was it disgusting! I tried to finish it as best as I could but I just couldn't do it :worried::( I feel bad and know a lot of our readers love it but I was greatly disappointed!

After that mishap I decided on something a little sweeter

The Italian primavera! This was good! It had a great fruity berry taste and was a little dangerous because you couldn't taste the alcohol :lmao:

Next up was America

My dad loves his flower pictures!

His choice was the red stag lemonade which was very good!

We shook our fists at Lotso before heading past him in to some air conditioning

After having our snacks and drinks we headed back out

And to Japan!

Starting from the left
Yuzu Rita frozen blend of tequila triple sec, lime and a hint of yuzu
YakiSoba Pan (Fresh grilled carrots, onions and cabbage with Japanese noodles and teriyaki sauce served on a bun with mayonnaise and Beni Shoga)
Green Tea Flan (Silky custard with macha green tea and caramel glaze)

Everything was very good! It was at this point I was cut off though :lmao:

So we just strolled

And decided to do a Perry mission!

It was sort of the same as Kim Possible but there were some changes

See the icons on the butterfly? We had to choose the right ones on our phone.

I think dad was more interested in the flowers

At the end just like in the Kim Possible missions this window fills up with water

It was fun to do one and I hope we can do more in November!

A topiary I hadn't gotten a picture of the other day

We had been trying to kill time until our dinner ADR and we succeeded so we headed over here

Our dinner was at Captain's Grille!

Mom and dad started out with this bread

and they were so jealous once I was served this bread

We ordered to orders of this

and shared.

Snow Crab Legs - with New Potatoes and Corn on the Cob $29.99

and dad ordered this as well

Lump Crab Cakes - with Fennel, Arugula, Onion, and Roasted Fingerling Potatoes with Stone Ground Mustard Cream $24.99

Then it was time for dessert

This was mine and had to be specially ordered from the Yachtsman Steakhouse

While mom and dad shared

The bananas foster with caramel ice cream

After dinner we headed back to Epcot. Where dad was found monkeying around

This area was so pretty!

and dad saved me from falling out of the hot air balloon

Phew all safe!

After we were done a group of foreign tourists were waiting behind us a ripped off our falling pose :rolleyes2 We are trendsetters!

We heard Nemo was lost so we went and found him. I got caught up with a shark though!

At this point my feet were being torn up by the flip flops I was wearing so we worked out a plan for the night. We had one more drink for a night cap and then we were going to run around World Showcase so I could get some nighttime pics before Illuminations started. Our first stop though was first aid so I could get some band aids!

I took these after I got them and waited for mom and dad to catch up!

This is one of my favorite pictures

Once mom and dad caught up we began our race around the world!

I am pretty sure we only had 15 minutes to make it around world showcase!

This would have been a much better picture if people didn't use this area to park their strollers near

Hi Pandas wish I could stop and marvel at your cuteness but we are down to 10 minutes!

China has to be one of the prettiest countries!

Hey Africa thanks for not having a ton to photograph! I spent too much time in China!

Hey Germany!

Hey golf ball!

I think we may have actually stopped in here?

Germany is pretty too!

This picture almost looks like Snow White's head is being set on fire

Is it just me or is Dopey pretty creepy looking?

Hi Italy sorry you are so blurry but we are down to 5 minutes!

I had to stop for a decent picture of this couple though

We are so close!

Hey America looking snazzy!

What's up Japan?!

Hey Morocco!

You are a very good looking country as well!

Bonjour!

Pretty topiaries

Ah finally the UK we are getting close to accomplishing our mission!

Nope no time for alcohol!

and Canada!!! We made it!!!

Then we headed out

Good night EPCOT!

Good night palm tree

Good night cool palm tree shadow

Good night fountain

Good night Pluto, Goofy, Mickey and Minnie

and good night reader!

Next up our final day!

Thanks for all of the topiary pictures. I got to spend a day checking them out in late March and they are fantastic.

Declan did a couple of the Perry missions on our July trip as well. There were some neat changes but pretty much the same as KP.

From what I've heard it was a pretty big hit. I think they are adding it to the Food and Wine Festival this year too :)

I'm bummed - just looked at the F&W menu, and there is a spiked Dole Whip, but this time it's an Orange Dole Whip with white creme de cacao. Oh well... =)

Hey everyone! I hope everyone is doing well!

fair to middlin'
thanks for asking

After getting my school schedules it turns out we will be going to Disney from November 4-10!!!

Woot!
And that gives me a thought.... next year both DDs will be in high school and I might be able to do something similar..... hmmmmmmm......

When we last left off dad had just shown up so after our hellos we headed to get him some food!

Dale: "Hi girls! I made it!! I'm so glad to see you both!!!"
Caitlin: "Yeah, yeah. Time's a wasting. Let's go eat."

Slow-roasted Pork Chop - with cheddar mashed potatoes and BBQ sauce $12.49 and the strawberry shortcake

Mom wanted me to highlight how great a use of a counter service credit this was.

Duly noted.

I was very excited for some drinking around the world with my dad! This was our first time drinking together in Disney!

That's nice. The family that drinks together, passes out together.

:rolleyes1:

I hate to break it to everyone but it was horrible!!! The spicy mixed with the sweet omg was it disgusting! I tried to finish it as best as I could but I just couldn't do it

No worries. When we were in Hawaii, I of course tried a Mai Tai.
'Cause it's a rule. Or a law. Or something.
I didn't finish it.

Everything was very good! It was at this point I was cut off though :lmao:

So we just strolled

Strolled? Is that a typo? Did you mean "staggered"?

It was sort of the same as Kim Possible but there were some changes

Are the KP missions still there? Or did Perry replace it? We had tons of fun doing KP missions.

and they were so jealous once I was served this bread

You're laughing now... but I'm betting they laughed more often.

and dad saved me from falling out of the hot air balloon

Oh my gosh! You must've been absolutely terrified!!!

Close call.

After we were done a group of foreign tourists were waiting behind us a ripped off our falling pose :rolleyes2 We are trendsetters!

Was there ever any doubt?

We heard Nemo was lost so we went and found him. I got caught up with a shark though!

Good thing he didn't swallow!

At this point my feet were being torn up by the flip flops I was wearing

Ha! Did you read my last chapter?

This picture almost looks like Snow White's head is being set on fire

So... What do you get for short, hard working miners? Perhaps a flame thrower for those cold dank mine shafts? What could possibly go wrong?...

Is it just me or is Dopey pretty creepy looking?

It's not just you...

Next up our final day!

Great pics, Caitlin! Really enjoyed them. Thanks for the update! :goodvibes

No problem! You know I love my pictures! :lmao:

I enjoy how well thought out they are and hidden it's so cool seeing something move or interact that you wouldn't expect!

Love all your pics! Wonderful update! :goodvibes

Thank you!

I'm bummed - just looked at the F&W menu, and there is a spiked Dole Whip, but this time it's an Orange Dole Whip with white creme de cacao. Oh well... =)

Great pics! Very snazzy shorts your dad has on, too.

I am so excited about the Orange Dole Whip!!!! Thank you! My dad is a pretty snazzy dresser lol

fair to middlin'
thanks for asking

Glad to hear it!

Woot!
And that gives me a thought.... next year both DDs will be in high school and I might be able to do something similar..... hmmmmmmm......

You need to go back!

Dale: "Hi girls! I made it!! I'm so glad to see you both!!!"
Caitlin: "Yeah, yeah. Time's a wasting. Let's go eat."

Exactly how I acted too :lmao:

Duly noted.

That's nice. The family that drinks together, passes out together.

:rolleyes1:

We like to have fun!

No worries. When we were in Hawaii, I of course tried a Mai Tai.
'Cause it's a rule. Or a law. Or something.
I didn't finish it.

Mai Tais aren't bad but I am pretty sure this drink is like number 4 in the worst drinks I have ever had list.

Strolled? Is that a typo? Did you mean "staggered"?

I wasn't that bad

Are the KP missions still there? Or did Perry replace it? We had tons of fun doing KP missions.

KP is gone they just replaced the affects and phone parts with Phineas and Ferb characters.

You're laughing now... but I'm betting they laughed more often.

Oh my gosh! You must've been absolutely terrified!!!

Close call.

I was!

Was there ever any doubt?

Good thing he didn't swallow!

Ha! Did you read my last chapter?

I did! I can totally relate to your daughter! I never wear tennis shoes!

So... What do you get for short, hard working miners? Perhaps a flame thrower for those cold dank mine shafts? What could possibly go wrong?...

It's not just you...

Great pics, Caitlin! Really enjoyed them. Thanks for the update! :goodvibes

Thanks for reading!

My feet hurt after reading your post! LOL

I love those night shots though, absolutely gorgeous
