THEY'RE NOT GONNA MAKE IT! A tale from 2 cities!! THE END! pg 32

Where dad was found monkeying around

:rotfl2: hehehehe Awesome!

and dad saved me from falling out of the hot air balloon

Phew all safe!

Very cute pictures! Love that! What fun!

These are my favorite. They are gorgeous! I also love all the topiary pictures.

Holy Mega Update. Enjoyed every minute of it! What a fun afternoon and evening you guys had. Dinner looks really yummy! And all the adult beverages. Sorry you didn't love the jalapeno rita but that frozen drink from Italy looks delish.

So one... we are Disney Visa cardholders... and got the Monsters University pin they had for cardholders by the ball... however, I was unaware we could get our picture taken with Mickey for free! SUPER upset I didn't know that!

Also, we went looking specifically for the Oz stuff and never found it! WHERE IS IT?! It's not on the EPCOT maps... I was pretty upset we never saw it! :sad1::sad1::sad1::sad1::sad1::sad1::sad1::sad1::sad1::sad1::sad1::sad1:

I almost forgot! :cool1: Yay for getting to finally meet on November 4th! :woohoo:

Wow, big update! Glad Dale was able to make it there for a short visit at least.

Cute Family pic of you guys with Mickey and Pluto! :)

That spiked Dole whip looks good!, Sorry you didn't like the Jalapeno margarita, I don't think I would like it either, I am not a fan of peppers and I can't imagine that combination. Those other ones you had looked good, how was that one in Japan?

Great pics of all the Topiaries and the night pics of World showcase were pretty.

That Dopey would be a good character in Kingdom Keepers. Creepy eyes!

Very true! I think one set during F&G with the topiaries coming to live would be awesome!

:rotfl2: hehehehe Awesome!

I love taking pictures of the topiaries I will miss that next year!

We had a great time! The primavera was very good!

Yeah it's a little known fact and I think it's only listed on the website so you need to check it out next time!

It was on the path from the Imagination pavilion to World Showcase.

I almost forgot! :cool1: Yay for getting to finally meet on November 4th! :woohoo:

So excited to meet you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We had fun together! Even though it was short it was nice to see him one last time before I moved!

Thank you!

It wasn't what I expected at all! The Japan one was very good a bit too citrusy but it was still good!

Thank you!

Congratulations on your new trip! I miss it so much. We can't go back until Dec. 2014! I guess trip reports will just have to keep me sane. I am excited to hear about your Disneyland trip!

Great update- so many fun and fantastic photos!!!

Sounds like you are having a ton of fun with your dad's arrival. The Oz pictures are really cute and clever!

Love his Sunshine Seasons meal. That is exactly what my son orders- pork chop and mashed potato. And I love the shortcake!

Bummer about the margarita, but it looks like you made up with some other bevvies along the way. Although am I the only one who thinks it is strange that the Japanese drink has tequila (and is accompanied by flan). A little Japanese-Mexican fusion going on?

Love your photo race around the world showcase. :worship:

We did have a lot of fun!

He loved it as well!

Yeah it was an interesting drink but so good! The flan was just because I needed something to eat and there weren't many gluten free options.

Thank you! It was definitely a rough run around!

Yay, you're Dad arrived...as I was reading, I couldn't help but remember what a great time we had with you guys when we were all there! Did your dad finish your jalapeno margarita....I would have done that for you too:rotfl2: I can see where you would either love them or not!

Great pics once again, and I hear you about missing them on your next trip! F & G was an amazing time to be in the World!

Hi Caitlin and Dawn!

Finally getting caught up on the updates. Sorry we are going to miss you by about a week! We head home on the 27th!
Caitlin - I completely agree with you about the jalapeño margarita- I thought it was awful! I love spicy things and I've had jalapeño martins before that I loved but I just did not like the sweetness that this had.
The Visa picture is so adorable. We have never done this - going to have to try it next month.
Love the picture of you and your Dad with the balloon - too cute!
Nice pics as usual!!!!

I know! We miss you guys!

Yes he did :lmao: How did you know?!

Yes it will be weird going for Star Wars Weekends but it should still be fun!

Oh no!

I had no idea it would taste so bad!

Thank you!

:(Hi All! I have been putting off this entry because it was a really difficult day for us. You see we are up to the final day of our trip and our last day together for a few months. Those of you who have kids understand what a difficult day this was for Dale and I. As parents we work hard to give our kids roots and wings but when they use those wings it brings very mixed emotions. I think King Triton says it best, as he's watching Ariel sail off with Prince Eric, "There's only one problem left. How much I am going to miss her". :( But since Caitlin already began the DL TR, it is time to finish this tale off so here we go....

As usual for us we got up early so we could make rope drop. We grabbed breakfast in the food court (shocking but we have no pics!) loaded the luggage into the car and headed off to the TTC. We then took the monorail over to the park and arrived shortly before the rope drop show.

Before long the Mayor arrived and kicked off the opening festivities

Then the train arrived carrying lots of Disney friends

As soon as they dropped the rope we raced to the hub. You see this was a very special day! On this particular day a princess was being coronated at the Magic Kingdom! There were a lot of tv cameras and people waiting for this exciting event!

Among the "special guests" we spotted Debby Ryan from the Disney Channel show, "Jesse". She was taping some sort of tv spot and had a full entourage including a couple of assistants and both hair and makeup people.

The pre-ceremony entertainment was provided by the little girls "Sophie Grace and Rosie" who frequently appear on the Ellen Show. When they finished the mistress of ceremonies was introduced. The hostess was Olympian Gabby Douglas along with her mom. (it was the day before Mother's Day) They were soon joined by all the Disney princesses.

They then introduced the young lady that the ceremony was in honor of, Princess Merida who arrived on horseback.

She then made her way up to the castle with the other princesses

There was some talking about the importance of mother's and I quickly realized her mom would be joining her. Now if you have seen the movie "Brave" you know how it focuses on a relationship between a mother and daughter. Given our circumstances that day I was actually hoping her mom wouldn't be there. I knew I would be in tears. But she came out and my tears began. I was like a faucet that day :worried:

Queen Elinor then spoke about the importance of being a princess and then crowned Merida.

It was quite lovely and I realized Caitlin was crying right along with me.

Afterward, her mother returned her bow and arrow to her.

They then had a photo op with all of the Disney princesses.

**Continued next post**

When the ceremony was over we headed to New Fantasyland because Dale had yet to see it! Our first stop was the Little Mermaid Ride.

We quickly got through the queue and Dale thought the ride was really cute. As for me, well round 2 of the tears had begun. The end of that movie has always made me cry!

Our next stop was Gaston's. Dale had to check it out for himself.

Then it was time for some pics of the Beast's castle.

We then got in line to have the counter service lunch at BOG.

I have to say I much prefer BOG for dinner than we did for lunch. First of all the touchscreen menus were a pain to operate and the lunchtime staff was less than magical :rolleyes1

Dale's lunch was this

and we both had this for dessert

Caitlin had this

while I ended up with this. I say ended up with because as you may recall I told you the ordering was a pain. Well I ordered the wrong thing :headache:

After lunch we took him over to the Tangled area to see the cutest bathrooms anywhere.

We then wanted to do the Pirates Adventure we had tested earlier in our trip but it wasn't open.

Instead we just rode POTC and then hit the Haunted Mansion. After those it was time to head out

The drive to the airport had us all teary eyed and when we said "goodbye" to Caitlin at her terminal I felt like my heart was breaking. Like King Triton I wanted her to be happy in her new life but I knew we would miss her desperately.

Her flight was 2 hours before ours so Dale and I killed time by getting a snack at the airport Chili's. This also gave me some time to regain composure so I wasn't a blubbering mess on the plane. We had an easy flight home and took with us many wonderful memories.

Thank you so much for reading along on our adventure. It was a wonderful trip and we were glad we had so many firsts like the coronation, May the 4th, New Fantasyland and 2 meals at BOG.

We hope you will join us on our next adventure which was to "Walt's Park"!
Hope to see ya real soon!

I would have been crying along with this post, if I didn't know the rest of the story!

Aw wow, the end of the report BUT I have already subscribed to the new one.

Back to this one. How lucky you were to see the coronation. That's something I'm sure few people can claim to see. I finally got to see that movie last month - it's really such a beautiful mother/daughter story. I can see how it would get to you:)

All the new castles plus the Tangled bathrooms are SO pretty! Can't wait to see them!!!

I have one month before my F&W trip. I have printed out the menu and have highlighted everything I want to try - OH BOY!:confused3
