I remember reading another trip report of yours when you first met Andrew. So, glad to see it worked out. I'll have to look for your other reports that I may have missed. I hope we will. BTW, I am also Gluten Free like Caitlin. I do have Celiac, though. It is so great to go to Disney and not have to worry about food!! It's one of the only places I can go that I feel comfortable eating GF. I'm glad she is feeling better now that she is GF and from the Cyst. I work in OB/GYN office so I know how bad that could be!!!

Also, I forgot to mention so sorry about your DH, I'm glad that he was ok when you got home. But OMG, Heart Attack in Disney!! That's crazy. Thank God he is ok and God Bless!!

We aren't sure if she has Celiac's as her tests were inconclusive. We do know she no longer suffers from the fatigue and IBS that used to plague her so going gluten free has done wonders for her! Disney is great for people with food allergies, they really take good care of you

Also, I forgot to mention so sorry about your DH, I'm glad that he was ok when you got home. But OMG, Heart Attack in Disney!! That's crazy. Thank God he is ok and God Bless!!

She was pleased that she was able to begin her meal with the Peanut Butter and Jelly Milkshake (seriously ) which was made gluten free.



She thought it was just as good as always although I still think it's gross but to each her own.

I for one would LOVE to try that PB and J Milkshake. It does sound a little weird but I had a PB and J sundae at Friendly's a couple years ago that was really yummy so if it's anything like that, it might be good.


Caitlin went with the special of the day which was Mahi Mahi, with mango chutney asparagus and coconut mashed potatoes. She loved it!

That's not asparagus... I think it's broccolini (or maybe just broccoli) still looks Yummy!

I ordered the fried chicken which is my usual there. I substituted the "greens" for corn though.



I would do that, too, I don't like greens and would rather not be "Punished for not eating my veggies, LOL

Hey everyone! Sorry I have been slacking! Life is busy here with me trying to get a job and be a housewife! I give props for any women back in the 50s! Having to make dinner and keep the house clean has kept me busy! Plus hanging out with our new bffs and with me going to the gym I rarely have time to get on here! But here I am and ready for an update!

Last time we left off I was headed to Star Tours I seriously love this ride and while I was watching the newer movies I kept saying "Oh now that makes sense that was in Star Tours!"

Headed in before us was Leia, Luke, Jawas and Chewie! Unfortunately I didn't get to ride with them but it was cool seeing them get in line!




Favorite Star Wars movie is with the Ewoks




I love it when the one takes off on the Speeder bike. I realize they were the original Jar Jar Binks of the series but seriously too adorable!

It's a TRAP!


R2D2 is my favorite character though rewatching the Empire Strikes Back with Andrew the other day made me realize this fact.

I ended up going to Naboo and being in a pod race which I was very excited about!

After this Mom needed some band aids for her foot so we headed to the First Aid Station.







Now it was time to figure out where we would go next...









I love the architecture of DHS! I can't wait to see Old Hollywood at California Adventure Carthay Circle will be amazing!








We browsed through the shops a bit and headed to use my Tower of Terror fast pass!




I just wish they had more in this Q than the garden area

After my ride we headed back to the front of the park. If I remember correctly this ride was the awesome one! It kept pulling us up and dropping us over and over again and it was amazing!





We tried to figure out something else to do but we were fresh out of ideas. Around this time it was 630 or 1830 (yep I am an army wife) and the fireworks weren't until 900 (2100). We saw people starting to get spots for them and decided we were out! We returned to the hotel with the plan of checking it out and getting my first pool side drink









Such a cool pool! One thing we found odd though was you need your key card to get in to this pool but you don't need a key card to get into the Monorail hotel pools

We chilled in the room for a bit and headed back out once it was dark out.

After chillin talking about our day and our plans for the week and sipping on our beverages we headed to the Cars area.

As a Star Wars fan I may get some flack, but I actually liked the Ewoks and hated that they took out their song at the end of Jedi.
Jar Jar... not so much.

Aw that would have been really cool to have ridden with the characters.

Star Tours - I am so addicted to this ride. I never rode the original because usually that type of ride makes me sick. Last year my boys talked me into trying the new one and I loved it so much I think I went one it 5 or 6 times.
TOT - favorite ride. Love that you got ghost pictures.
AoA - I cannot believe how beautifully themed this resort is. These are the most pictures of it I have every seen. The night shots turned out really good, especially the Cozy Cone motel. It really looks real. I might have to make a trip over there in October for some pictures. Would love a picture with Guido.

The original was a lot jerkier than this one is. I went on it three or four times my first time and now any time we are at DHS I always ride it

I was lucky! They don't always show up well.

Certain parts of it are better themed than others. I really like Nemo and the Cars area but Ariel and the Lion King are not as well themed.

I love all of the hidden stories they have throughout the hotel! I wish I could sit in the library with the lights on and check it all out!

I have always loved that tv show though and wish they would bring it back!
