~~ They're leaving the nest, sew it's time for a trip - or two - or three...~~ D~'s bag ~9/22 ~~

Sorry I've been MIA -- recovering from my trip and enjoying time with all four of us together...it's precious and won't last long since my husband goes back to work tomorrow (high school teacher and coach) and Alyssa leaves to go back to school on Sunday. And Brie wasn't able to get much time off this week since she got promoted to manager at her swimming pool, so every moment that all four of us are together is precious.

V's surprise bag is SO cute! Now I'm looking forward to seeing what you decided to do about a bag for you -- since you cut out three. :-)

I love that your girls have so much family nearby that they can spend time with -- that's such a blessing. My husband is really starting to push for me to find a job in Utah after this school year since both girls will be out there, as well as his entire family. But I found out that there is a possibility of an amazing job for me being worked on in Florida, which is where we originally wanted to go when we leave here. I already turned down one amazing job there last summer...turning down another one would be akin to career suicide so I'm not sure what will end up happening. At any rate, we were blessed to live near my family when the girls were growing up and they loved spending time with their extended family. Such a wonderful thing.

Congratulations on having V's trip entirely paid for!!! That is fabulous! I ended up doing really well on our trip last week....I ended up going over budget by $60, but that was due to unexpected gifts for people (my niece had her baby while we were there -- 6 weeks early, so we decided to get a baby gift for her, and then I bought another niece's birthday gift while I was there because I found the perfect thing, and then I decided to buy a souvenir for my daughter's boyfriend and the place we bought it was having a great sale -- $99 for a swimsuit, shirt, hat, and sandals...the shirt we picked out for him was $40 and the swimsuit my daughter was eyeballing was $80, so we saved a lot of money and were able to pick up a couple of more things). Anyway....I'm really happy with how close to budget I was. If it wasn't for those things I would have come out ahead!

Our trip...in a nutshell, it was fabulous. My health was ok but there's no way I could have done more than we did without a rest day. As it was, we only rope dropped one day which is unusual for us. But we've been enough that we know what we want to do and what we don't want to do so it worked out. Had fun exploring Disney Springs and eating at some new places...the new Soarin' is great but make sure you're seated in the middle set of seats -- otherwise the distortion from the curvature is horrible (as in the Eiffel Tower is in the shape of the letter C).... The crowds weren't bad at all until Saturday and then they were awful. But we had so much fun. I'll give you a mini trip report in another post...my daughters are calling me to do something with them.

Have a great day!

Just stopping in :wave2: I think I aged with you when I read about Allison's little mishap with getting back home. Glad she made it back safely and all is well.

V is looking like she is having a great time with the family. It's always so nice to be able to let them spend that time.

Sorry that you are having back and knee issues. It's rough getting older. I can feel it when I have the little ones here and I am up and down all day with them. I'm not use to chasing and picking them up.

Mom and dad are doing much better. One day at a time.

Have a wonderful day!!

I love V's surprise bag! I actually kind of teared up a little because that movie has special meaning to me.

Your cleaning style sounds a lot like mine. I plan on doing just one small area and end up doing the whole room, which sometimes involves rearranging furniture. All of this means that unfortunately it usually turns into a whole day affair.

V's bag is totally adorable!! I love it and I'm sure she will too! It's so fun that she still carries the bags and gets into the spirit of it a bit.

I can't wait for our trip to be paid off. It's getting there slowly but surely. I have a dog sitting weekend planned for a chunk of spending money.

What is the name of the tape you use for your knee? I hurt my knee about a year ago and it flares up every now and then especially with a lot of walking or when I trip (which is often, I'm such a klutz).

I love V.'s surprise bag. Lilo and Stitch are one of my favorites. It's good to hear that she's having fun visiting your family.
Sorry to hear that Allison left her laptop and a pair of glasses behind. At least, it was at someone's home.
I think we;re our own worst critics. You're working really hard to get in shape and I'm sure you will get there. Maybe not as soon as you'd like.
Liz

Yes, everything will work out just as it should! Fingers crossed for word on the S/D discount!

Look at you on a cleaning spree! You almost give me motivation to begin here. Almost.

The bag is sooooo adorable!!

I hope you're enjoying your non-gray hair this evening.

I use KT tape - so yes, I think it's kinetic? I love it! Best invention ever! If you think about it - the way you apply it mimics the ligaments and tendons inside your leg - so it's like giving them extra support from the outside... Makes perfect sense to me.
I am definitely going to try to find some of this. I am sure I have seen it at the exchange, but I never looked at the price. At least I know it will be tax free- one advantage of living on base! Does it come with instructions on how to apply or do you look it up? I am sure there are videos on youtube or Pins on pinterest. I have to start moving more- my DH keeps subtly mentioning the fact that the Marine Corps ball is coming up in November- and every year I complain about not feeling comfortable about the way I look. I, at least, would feel better knowing that I tried to do something about it instead of just feeling defeated. I am hoping we can work out a schedule where he gets home early enough that I can get out for a walk or go to the gym. I can push the baby in the stroller, but I just find it more rewarding and relaxing when I can focus all my attention on what I am doing.

Literally - my office was trashed and I couldn't stand to work out in it another day. My goal, yesterday morning, was to just clean a 2 square foot space... Ahhh - but once I started, I couldn't stop. By lunch time, not only did I have all 12 square feet of office cleaned, but I had shredded all of the mail I had boxed up to be shredded (don't you HATE that?) and I had my entire desk cleaned off and organized. That was a HUGE feat unto itself... It always amazes me - I put off tasks like this FOREVER - because I am just so overwhelmed, but in all reality - it doesn't take me that long to make it right. I still have the entire credenza to organize - which is where I (hap-hazardly) stacked all of Josh's cords/computer stuff/CDs - anything computer related... and I still have bills to open and file... But everything is contained and I can work out properly. It's so nice to walk in here and see all of this space!
Oh and my kitchen is now fully unpacked too... I took all of the boxes out of here yesterday and stacked them on my counters.... There was no way I was going to bed with stuff on the counters... So - that is taken care of now too. It's such a relief to have this done!

That is great! I'll bet you got plenty of exercise lifting and moving things around in there, so you could totally count that as your Monday workout! It must be a great relief to have your space back, and that will set you up for more success in getting your workouts in!

After lunch - I went upstairs and worked on V's surprise bag... I am so happy to have that done before she comes home! :woohoo: So, here it is for you all... Lilo and Stich... :lovestruc I am sure, those of you who have been following my TRs for a while, you can see where this bag resembles the relationship between my girls a little bit...

20160815_134159.jpg
OK, so I was way off on my guess, but I do love this bag. And Stitch's expression, LOL! It is spot on. I love the colors. Another fun bag!

I rested the entire night... A picture of V from Gma and Gpa's house... They have baby kitties in the barn right now - so she is in heaven. :lovestruc

Aww, precious kitties. Looks like she is stil having fun! It's great that she is able to spend time with her grandparents! I always worry that my girls won't be close to my parents since we move around and always live far away. But I find that spending quality time with them and really focusing on just making memories has kept them close (at least with the older one, so far).

I will be heavy lifting... In my office... With room to spare!!! :woohoo: My knee is still taped, and I will be very cautious of that, and my back - as that is finally feeling better too.

Then I will be working...

I have to take a bit of an early lunch today...

As I have a VERY overdue hair appointment this afternoon... Another reason I haven't showed many pictures of myself lately - the gray is REAL people. LOL My hair is getting pretty long at the moment - and overly annoying... It is very possible that I will chop it off to shoulder length again... I kind of enjoyed it at the length. We'll see... :scratchin I may wait to do the chopping until right before our trip?

And then I will come home and relax. :lovestruc And enjoy my non-gray hair. ::yes::

Doesn't it feel so good to go the salon?! I need to do my color soon. That is another thing that I hate about moving around is finding someone to do my hair. I will do box color in between, but I have a lot of gray, too and the box color just does not cover as well or last as long. I hope your appointment goes well and you come out feeling great!

Have a great day!

Love V's lilo bag. Your trip is getting closer. My oldest says he wants to go back for the food and wine next fall. Im hoping we can do it. We wants to try all the alcohol from other countries because he'll finally be 21.

How great that you got to clean and organize your office and got to fully unpacked the kitchen :woohoo:

The surprise bag for V looks amazing :lovestruc

What a shame that Josh didn't see that you had cleaned the office.

Kittens are so lovely. I can totally understand that V is in heaven with these lovely creatures :lovestruc

Take care of your knee when working out today

Nope... Walt visited this park at some point before/during the process of building Disneyland, but I don't know which year it was, or if it's just a rumor and it never really happened? Having been to both parks - I can SEE where Walt definitely could have pulled many elements from De Efteling for his parks... As for the 2011 part - that is when WE visited The Netherlands and went to De Efteling the first time. :thumbsup2

Ok I totally misunderstood that yesterday. How great that you all got to visit De Efteling in 2011.

I had a great day yesterday geocaching with my friend. We drove 2 hours out of Tromsø before starting to geocache. We found 31 geocaches and I was back home 5 1/2 hours after I first left the house. It was a great day. It was cloudy outside which is the best weather to drive in. The sun came out when we were about 1 hour away from home so that was perfect timing. I was exhausted when I came home but I was very satisfied with the whole trip :)

While we were out geocaching my contact at NAV (who I'm by the way very satisfied with) called and said we have an appointment next week. And that she will send the papers needed for me for the taxi to the garage. I'm so glad it's my regular contact that is coming to the appointment next week and not a substitute. Now I just have to order that taxi.

Forgive me, I am just trying to get some replies done this morning... Not sure if I will get to all of them?

I ADORE the stitch bag and YES it defines your girls to a T!
So,, why does the black cat look evil?

Thanks! I was thinking so too... LOL In a cute way, of course.

Ummm... I didn't even SEE the black cat until you mentioned it!!!

OMG I love V's surprise bag! I love Lilo and Stitch, it's fabulous! Way to go on making all that head way in your office it's so tedious to go through things and cleaning it makes a workout video look exciting, lol.

Thanks!!! I am super happy with how it turned out!

I know - it's such a relief to walk in here now... Every time I do, it's like... Ahhhhh... And it's great to really be able to give my workouts my all. ::yes::

Love V's bag. It is so cute.

Thank you - I am super happy with it.

Love both of V's bags! Fantastic!!!

Thanks!!! I am very happy with both of them! I am not sure if she will get any more or not? She has several to choose from now... I doubt she will bring all of them... :scratchin

D~

I love your bags! Very talented you are....me, I've got nothing in the talent department! I too share your struggle with fitness and weight issues...and my own confidence. I've finally found a program that's working for me, after years and years of trying and failing. So, I'm glad you've found something too...and are sticking to it. It's about balance - and not punishing yourself when you stray from the path. It's a journey, that's for sure!
Your daughters are having some great adventures this summer! Good for them, and good for you. Being a Mom is the best & hardest job in the world. Your girls are so lucky to have you!
Have a great day. I look forward to more!

Decided to venture out in Salem (where I now work) to find the Target. I need Disney gift cards and thought it would be easier to hide them if I bought them away from Chelsea. I looked all over that store. Finally found 1 gift card and it was $100 and I had budgeted less than that for spending money for the kids. So, I am disappointed. What Target does not carry the $50 Disney gift cards?

Just wanted to let you know you can order gift cards online at Target. They have $50 cards there and shipping is free. My store also sells $25 cards too, at least the last time I checked.

I truly enjoyed all of your trip pictures on FB - you and your girls are beautiful! I looks like you had a wonderful time - and absolutely - any moments with all of you are so precious, please enjoy them! :lovestruc

Thank you - she came home last night and she just loves it! :woohoo: I was so happy to be able to do those bags for her. I haven't touched mine in a few days, back to working on custom orders right now. I'll probably work on mine again this weekend. :scratchin

I do love having my family nearby - but I do often wish they were closer. I sometimes wish we hadn't made the decision to move here, as then the girls would have a good connection to my home and my roots... Through the years - we have managed to make a home here, but there is still a disconnect from family... But in the end, I am glad we have what we have.

It sounds like you have some major decisions coming up. I am sure that you and your DH will come to some sort of compromise... I vote FL, LOL - but that's just me. ::yes::

Thank you - it is such a relief to have her trip paid for... Although, it's not technically "paid for" yet... It's mostly paid for, and the existing $$ I have coming in will pay off the rest - so I don't have to work any extra... If that makes sense? LOL

That is awesome that you came in so nicely on your budget! WTG! I really think that is amazing - because it's so easy to throw caution to the wind while you are on vacation... Just staying within your budgeted amount is a great thing - IMO. :woohoo:

Congratulations on becoming a great-Aunt! :lovestruc Hopefully they live close enough that you will get to see the baby?

I am glad your trip was good - I was concerned that it would be difficult with the health issues that came up right before you left, I am very happy to hear that you were able to enjoy it. :lovestruc

And thanks for the tip on Soarin' - I hope that I am able to get FPs for any of these things... My date is coming up, and I am really worried about it.

Thanks for stopping by - I hope you are enjoying your time with your family all together. :lovestruc

Yes... It was so difficult... I am also very thankful that she made it safely..

V did enjoy herself - She loves spending time with family!

LOL - No kidding... It's so hard... I feel like it all creeped up on me in the last few months. Ahhh... but to have the LIttles around - what joy that must bring to your life, and I bet it is so worth it. :lovestruc

So happy to hear that your parents are doing better... Continued prayers for them.

Thanks - same to you! :lovestruc

Thanks!!! I am so happy with how it turned out and she loves it - so extra bonus. :wohoo: That's always half the battle. LOL

I know, right... I feel like sometimes I have to talk myself into things by saying to myself that I will only do a very small portion - then I can be done... But once I get into it, I can't stop. LOL It is such a huge relief to have my office back!

Thank you - it was such a labor of love for me... I still need to Scotch Guard both of them, but she loves them - and that makes this momma happy. :lovestruc I love that she is a Disney nut like her mother and likes to carry my bags... I am not sure she will do any of the other bling or ears or anything... but I love that she carries my bags and that's all that matters. :lovestruc LOL

Glad to hear that you are making progress on paying off your trip. Mine is not paid off yet - but all of the expected $$ coming in is budgets for it, so I don't have to work any extra, other than what I am working now... So, that's awesome for me! :woohoo:

It's called KT Tape... I purchased mine at Target - but I think other stores have it too... At Target - it's in the bandage aisle. They also have generics of this tape, but I am not certain if I would use a generic? It's expensive - I think I paid just under $20 for a roll of it... but I've had my roll for over a year - granted, I don't use it all the time either...

I hope you have a wonderful day! :lovestruc

I love V.'s surprise bag. Lilo and Stitch are one of my favorites. It's good to hear that she's having fun visiting your family.

Thanks - I am so happy that she likes it and is planning to carry it. :lovestruc

Yes - it's a bummer, but at least she will get both of them returned to her eventually.

I agree - Sometimes we are... I hope I get there and make some progress before our trip... It's not an easy thing, but thank you for your vote of confidence. :lovestruc

I hope you are having a great week Liz?

Yes, everything will work out just as it should! Fingers crossed for word on the S/D discount!

Look at you on a cleaning spree! You almost give me motivation to begin here. Almost.

The bag is sooooo adorable!!

I hope you're enjoying your non-gray hair this evening.

Hopefully you hear something soon. ::yes::

Hahaha... Yah - I am not sure that I could be motivated to do it again? LOL Once was enough for me for a while... And we have no intention of doing any more kitchen remodeling in the near future. Good luck with your project - hopefully you are able to talk yourself into it soon? :scratchin

Thanks - I am so happy with it!!! And she loves it - so extra bonus! :lovestruc

Hahaha... Yes, I need to share pictures... I am very much enjoying my non-gray hair and I did chop a few inches off of it too - and I am LOVING that. ::yes::

I am definitely going to try to find some of this. I am sure I have seen it at the exchange, but I never looked at the price. At least I know it will be tax free- one advantage of living on base! Does it come with instructions on how to apply or do you look it up? I am sure there are videos on youtube or Pins on pinterest. Have a great day!

Yes - if you google the KT Tape website, they have video tutorials right on there... You click on the area you are experiencing pain, and then they have a video tutorial which shows you how to apply the tape... It's really awesome! I highly recommend it. ::yes:: I hope it's a great tool for you to help you get in shape for the ball... I've never gone to one - although we've been invited several times... I am just not a huge fancy dressing person. ::yes::

I did, most likely, I just try not to use every day "busy-work" as exercise... I know that some people do, and that's OK... I just consider that life. LOL But yes, I did do a lot of physical work while cleaning the office. :scratchin

Thank you - I am so happy with how it turned out! :woohoo:

Yes - I just love having my hair done... It took me 6 years of living here to find my stylist, and I just love her so much! I wish I could afford to go a little more often than I do - and this last time, I'd stretched it about 4 weeks longer than I should have... but in the end, I am super happy with the results... My roots are gone and I chopped my hair off to my shoulders - it's so much more sassy now and less blah. LOL I feel so much better about myself with just that change. ::yes:: I hope you are able to find a good stylist soon!

I hope you had a great day too! :lovestruc

Love V's lilo bag. Your trip is getting closer. My oldest says he wants to go back for the food and wine next fall. Im hoping we can do it. We wants to try all the alcohol from other countries because he'll finally be 21.

Thanks!! I am so happy with how it turned out!

Oooh - I hope you can make this trip work! It would be a lot of fun, I love Disney in the fall - especially at Halloween time. ::yes::

How great that you got to clean and organize your office and got to fully unpacked the kitchen :woohoo:

The surprise bag for V looks amazing :lovestruc

What a shame that Josh didn't see that you had cleaned the office.

Kittens are so lovely. I can totally understand that V is in heaven with these lovely creatures :lovestruc

Take care of your knee when working out today

Yes - I know... LOL I put it off for far too long... but it's a relief to have it done now. Phew!

Thank you... I am so happy with how well it turned out! And I am even happier that she loves it!

I agree - the kitties are adorable... Sadly the one that V really wanted to bring home with her died... It was very sad and I felt terrible. Not that I was truly considering allowing it - I probably could have been persuaded. LOL She is very sad about the kitten though - and I don't blame her.

Thanks - I am trying to take it easy on all of my old age ailing body parts. LOL I fear it will only get worse from here on out... :scratchin

No worries... I don't mind explaining. :)

YaY!!!! What a wonderful day for you!!! It's so nice that you were able to get out and enjoy the day with your friend! How nice!!!

And even more exciting news about your car... I sure hope it's ready for you soon! In no time, we won't see you much here on The Dis, because you will be out n' about enjoying your new freedom!!! So, exciting! :woohoo:

I hope you had a great day today Lillian! :lovestruc

Thank you... I truly enjoy making them and creating fun!

It's not easy, but I am so happy to hear that you've found something that works for you, as well. That is a huge part of the battle already won! :lovestruc Exactly... There is a very delicate balance there, and sometimes, it's so difficult to find where it works for you. :)

Yes - both of them are... Lots of learning from both ends here... And lots of growing and trusting. For the most part - it's going OK.. This mom will be incredibly happy though, when both of her babies are sleeping under one roof again. :lovestruc And thank you - I try hard to be a good mom and friend to both of them... I am just as lucky to have them, as they are to have me. :lovestruc

Thanks, same to you... And welcome.

That is strange Shannon... Back in the electronics department - where the big displays of GCs are... My Target (and the other Targets in my area) sell Disney GCs in $25, $50 and $100 denominations... And then up by the registers, they also sell the $50s - I believe? However, it is possible that your Target was wiped out of them... It's pretty common knowledge that this is one major way to save a bit of $$ on trips - so it's quite common that the Targets in our area are wiped out for a few weeks at a time... If you have another Target near you - I'd try a different store. Otherwise, I would ask someone that works there, if they know where the other denominations would be. ::yes::

Just wanted to let you know you can order gift cards online at Target. They have $50 cards there and shipping is free. My store also sells $25 cards too, at least the last time I checked.

Yes - true... I've never purchased them online myself, but I know many who have. ::yes::

Another super quick check in for me today...

I was able to get to my stylist on Tuesday - it was so nice to see her again as I was beyond overdue. My hair is back to looking great and I chopped off about 4"... It's back to my shoulders now, and it's a little sassy - just the way I like it. It was getting too long and too blah for me, and I am glad to have that extra length gone. ::yes::

Yesterday was a Target day... So, I spent the day there.

Then immediately after, I had to come home to change and let the dogs out... Then I had to "run" to get V... 3.5 hours there and 3.5 hours back... It makes for a very long and tough day on the road. ::yes:: But I am super happy to have her home and she was able to finally see her Lilo and Stitch bag - which she loves. One girl home and one more to go... We are getting there.

Today... I am planning to heavy lift right now, then...

Cooper has a vet check up... I didn't realize he was overdue on his shots... Oops! So, Mr. Man is going in today to take care of business. I am anxious to see what he weighs too... He is a brute for sure. :scratchin

Then I will be working from home all day.

V has dreams of going to town for a hair cut - so we will see. It is also her BFF's birthday today - so I am sure she will spend some time with her.

That's about all... I hope you all have a wonderful day! Sending Pixie Dust out to you all!

Yay for getting in to get hair trimmed! I haven't been in ages. The Target I went to was just different. I did go back to the electronics (because that is where I can find them at my Target) and they didn't have a display. I asked and she said they only carry the gaming ones and the ones pertaining to electronics, like iTunes cards in the electronics like I was the crazy person. I looked at the display that had the $100 for empty spots (there were a lot, but nothing in the denomination of $50. None of the empty $25 slots were for Disney. Then I checked every check out and they only had about half the cards that my store carries. I will be going to the ones tonight. @gopherdame thanks for the suggestion. If I had time I would order online, but we are leaving Saturday morning and I didn't want to risk them not showing up in time.

I am so glad V loves her bag, but really, who wouldn't? Friday night, I will finally be able to pull all of our bags out and lanyard wallets. We love those for Disneyland, because we still have the paper tickets and paper fastpasses. AND I get to see if Jacob will use his bag this trip. Which reminds me, I will need to Scotchguard them. I think the Frozen ones will be perfect since we are doing the Frozen pre-show package and then going to see Frozen the musical. And I love that Flik is in California Adventure too.

Have a great day today. I probably won't be on here again until after we are back from Disneyland.

I am glad your hair appointment went well. I bet it looks great! I know you are glad to have V back, and of course, loving her new bag! I will have to go back and see: are you guys eating at O'Hana? We have never been at breakfast when Lilo & Stitch are supposed to be there, but that would be a fun interaction with her bag. Although, you might see them at AK.

Hopefully, Cooper will do well at the vet and shots won't be too bad. He might need some extra lovin' today!

We are supposed to take a short trip up to a waterfall tomorrow that is about an hour away. My husband went there with some of his Marines just to make sure it was a walkable distance with the baby and safe for the kids. He said there are plenty of shallows for the kids to splash around in, but it is very rocky. So, we have to find some water shoes or crocs for them to wear in the water. I am looking forward to getting out of the house and seeing something new. It is still in the 90s here, so an activity with water is ideal!

I hope you enjoyed your day today and have a great weekend!

Yes - it's great to have my hair back to normal. ::yes::

Hmmm... That does sound like a strange store. I know that Target has been testing out smaller stores, but as far as I was aware - those were all here in the metro... :scratchin I hope you were able to find the GCs you needed.

Yay!!! So excited for your trip!!! Cannot wait to hear all about it. I was busy Scotch Guarding bags yesterday too.. Both of V's are done now - and I may redo a couple of mine? Sounds like your plans are perfect! :woohoo: Have a great trip and safe travels! :lovestruc

Thanks! Yes - I am so happy to have decent hair again... Headbands and pony tails were my life for too long. LOL The only picture I have is from when I walked out of the salon... I had a really cute one I sent to the girls on Snap Chat - but I forgot to save it... One thing I hate about that app. LOL

We are going to 'Ohana for breakfast.... I am so excited for this for her. We love going there. When we stayed at SoG in 2008, it was also during Halloween time, and we did 'Ohana for breakfast the morning of MNSSHP... We are doing the same thing this time - it worked out perfectly, as we are close enough to our resort to just walk back and rest up for a long night. ::yes::

SC did great! I was super proud of him! He weighed in at 85.4 lbs... and everyone just loves him. I do think he was a cat in a past life though... When he was born, he was BFFs with a cat named Bob - so for the first 7 weeks of his life they cuddled and played together... Now, when he sees a cat - he just begs them to play with him. LOL He doesn't try to chase them or anything, he just sits there and watches... The cats don't appear to be afraid of him at all. It's super cute to watch, because he is so big. LOL

The waterfall sounds wonderful! I hope you all were able to go, enjoy it and most of all - cool off! What a great family day together! :lovestruc

I did have a great day - I worked most of it, but it was good. ::yes:: Thanks - I hope you have a great day too!

Sooo... I did my heavy lifting early, then that was out of the way for the day. It was a good lift... Still having a hard time with my knee - I notice it most on Tuesdays with lunges and on Thursdays with my step-ups. I just try to lift through it and be cautious.

Then I took Mr SC to the vet... He was such a good boy! Everyone always loves him... I was so impressed with how well behaved he was... I think most of that though is because I had his Gentle Leader on him - both of my dogs respond well when they are wearing that - which is the point. LOL His shots are all up to date and he weighed in at 85.4 lbs! Such a big boy now! The first two pictures, he is "cat watching"...

Then I came home... When I had gone out to my foster-parent's house the other day to get V, we walked out to see where the new barn was going to be built... Well, they had taken down an old garage to make room, and leaning up against a tree in the pasture was the old fence gate that used to be around the house I grew up in... It looked like maybe it was getting ready to be scrapped - so I asked if I could take it home with me... I am now the proud owner of the gate from the yard I grew up in... I used to have to open this gate every morning as I was running out to the waiting bus. ::yes:: Now, it sits proudly on my front porch until I can decide how I want to display it... Josh thinks it looks like an old bed spring... Pfft...

I worked all day yesterday... In the morning - I worked on my custom order... In the middle of the day - I had to run V to town for a hair cut... And since Josh worked late last night, I came home and worked on the appliques for my own bag until almost 9pm! I made progress, but since this bag has 3 detailed appliques on it - it's a lot of time consuming work. ::yes::

A picture of my hair for you all... I love that it's shorter again - for the last few months, it was just really starting to annoy me... I think it will be a long time before I try to grow it out again. I really like this in-between length, even if it does like to flip up. ::yes::

Then a few pictures of Allison and Myrthe yesterday...

My day today is pretty full... I will be working out this morning... I have to take V to work this morning... I will work on my custom order until it's mostly done - or maybe until it's done? We'll see... Then I will go back to working on my own bag. I have dreams of finishing it this weekend. ::yes:: If I do - I will post pictures... I think it will be a cool bag.

I hope you all have a great day!!! Sending Pixie Dust out to all of you! :lovestruc

Your hair looks really cute. I have to get mine cut before vacation. I'm glad Cooper behaved himself at the vet's. I don't think my cats are sure what a dog is. They've never been outside. My neighbors all have dogs but they've only heard them.
Nothing exciting is going on right now. I stopped at Sam's for some Disney gcs. I like the 3 packs. Now I have to combine them so I don't carry around some many. The Target by me has the gift cards in electronics but then so does my store.
We're still getting ready for the remodel. There are so many new people at work right now. It should be interesting.
My daughter and I are thinking of going down to the National Park Sunday. It's National Park System's 100th anniversary.
Have a good day.

Your hair looks very cute. I like that length.

Allison looks like she is having fun. Do they do most of their traveling using public transportation?

Your hair looks cute. I like mine a little longer, but can't stand it in the summer so I always get it cut shorter. I don't like myself in pony tails or I could leave it longer, but it's just too hot. It looks like Allison is having the time of her life. What's a little homesickness when you're experiencing all that. That is a long time to be away though, so I'm sure that was to be expected. I'm heading up to the lake today with my daughter's family. It's going to be cooler though so not sure how much swimming we'll do. Last time they were up it was so hot that we just went swimming all the time!
