Sorry I've been MIA. I was away from the Dis with not knowing when my next trip might be and busy planning my European trip. My friend Mary K & I had an awesome trip to Prague, Germany, Austria, Slovakia & Budapest. Such a great trip! I would really love to return to Prague someday. Such an incredible place! River cruise was wonderful but not sure I would travel that way again-too little time to actually see much of the places we stopped. Service on the boat was top notch-maybe someday I'll be ready to be spoiled like that again and not worry about the sight seeing as much. I had dental issue before I went and my dentist told me the best option was an implant which couldn't be done before my trip. He put me on a penicillin but that didn't clear it up so the implant guy I saw before I left gave me a high dose amoxicillin to take before I left. Thankfully the tooth was fine on the trip and then I had the implant done when I got home and he put me on the high dose amoxicillin again. I took the full 8 day script before I had a nasty allergic reaction to it. That was over 2 weeks and it still isn't completely cleared up. It is finally nearly gone but it was really rough go.

We've decided NOT to go to Disney this summer as a family. We are going to do a driving vacation to Atlantic Canada instead. Gene & I have been several times but the kids haven't and are very excited about it.

Lizzy turned 16 on 5/22 and got her permit that day-you have to be 16 in MA. She was so excited! Gene has taken her driving many times-I've been pretty much a wreck with that hives since then so I was afraid the stress of driving with her might make that worse. She's anxious to show me how great she is.

I have over $500 in airline credits from last summer that I needed to use some by tomorrow or start losing. I decided to book a solo trip for me to WDW for after the budget at work. I can't go til 11/11. I don't want to go too close to Thanksgiving and even though I love early Dec I find it a bit stressful worrying about what the weather here might do to mess up my flights. I just booked 11/12 to 11/19. I haven't booked a hotel yet. I will probably book ASSports for now (Pop had no availability even a full rate). I could book free dining since I need a ticket but not sure if I will. I am hoping some room only discounts come out so I can upgrade. I still have more air credits so I think I will be booking a long weekend in DC for Gene & Joe. The kids have the Friday before Columbus Day off-I can't really travel then. It will be good for them to go away together!

I arrived home Sunday evening... I was exhausted. The trip was amazing... Please keep an eye on Mo's ptr... She will be writing a mini tr about Maine. i am still exhausted... My flights on sunday realky took a lot out of me, normally flying doesnt affect me at all... So? I slept in today, it was nice... Tomorrow i am back in my sewing room.

Sorry all... I've been really quiet here... I am still recouping from our trip! It was a blast, but I am still sooo tired! Suzi wore me out! But slowly, I am getting back to normal. I think?

My first few days home were pretty chaotic... Josh was fishing in Canada, and the girls were home alone for 2 days... I just wanted to come home and veg with them. It was nice. I really missed them! And the boys too!

Josh is home now and back to work... I am back to work, and eating right and working out... I am doing much better now that I've found my balance again. Sometimes it's tough.

The boys are doing well... Cooper is back to being a good boy - I've been told he was a total hellion while I was gone... I believe it. But now that Alpha Dog (me) is home... He is a good puppy. And Max, of course - he's always good.

The girls are doing great - they are on summer vacation... Sleeping in... being lazy... and all of the above. I'll let them get away with it this week... Maybe.

Gus leaves tomorrow for college... So he is spending part of the day with Allison today, and then that's it. We are sure going to miss him a lot! But we wish him the best... And he'll be home to visit a lot... and we may even take a road trip or two up there to see him and his new place.

And just so you all know... I really want you to read about our Maine adventure... Mo is doing the TR about it in her PTR... She is doing a great job and I agree with everything she says. I'm glad you had a great trip with Mo and Suzie. Sorry to hear that it took so much out of you. I'll bet the boys were glad to see you and that Cooper is back to being a good dog.
We've been busy here getting my daughter's house ready bedrooms to move in. I spend Sunday washing woodwork and floors in the bedrooms. Wednesday I helped take the wallpaper down in their bedroom. They're moving in this weekend and planning bringing the cats over on Sunday.

Sorry I didn't get back here in a timely manner to respond to this... Usually - we are able to pay for it in advance. Most of the time it's $5 more, if you pay for it at the airport... there should be an option to add it to your fare to pay for it early?

This is how I used to feel about the Tables in Wonderland card. I didn't buy it when we first bought our annual pass, even though I knew we were going on two trips. The $100 fee just didn't seem worth it. I figured I could use the AP 10% discount for some of our restaurants - Trails End and Whispering Canyon Cafe for breakfast, for example, and we didn't plan to do a lot of sit down meals. Well, I kept track of what we spent and how much we would have saved on the four trips we ended up taking that year, and I regretted not buying the TiW in the first place. When I renewed our AP for this year I bought the TiW card, too. With three trips already finished, we have saved a lot of money. And we still have two more trips we can use it on if I book another trip for January or February 2016. The card is good for 13 months.

The TiW card will save you money if you plan to go to restaurants anyway. For example, if you are planning to do Liberty Tree Tavern anyway, then you would be leaving a tip, so the 20% discount really is 20%, not 18%, since you would have paid it anyway - unless you would have left 15% tip - then your savings would be 17%. This card really works best if you are taking multiple trips. You might not even recover the full $100 on this trip. But if you add a few ADR's for the next two trips, it would work. Now if you paid for your friends meals with the card, they would benefit from the 20% discount and that will help them out a little. You would just have to figure out the bill later.

If you use the TiW card in food courts at value resorts and at POFQ, then you will save the full 20%. It is also good for refillable mugs purchased in those food courts.

Thanks Sue - I will look into this further... I am still not so sure about it, but I totally understand your line of thinking here. I am going to plug some numbers to see if it will make sense for us or not.

Thanks! We hit bad plane weather... It was an awful ride- I was pretty scared - so was Mo. I don't think we ever hit any storms though - just a lot of turbulance. I hope to hever have a plane ride like that one again.
