They'd Better Get Ready on the East Coast!! May 2009 **TR started on TR boards!!**

Two VB bags!!! I agree, you definitely need both colors to coordinate with your outfits and your DM needs to loose the fanny pack!!:rotfl:

Remy looks so cute!! Those are great pictures!! I can't wait to see him.

Oooh, the VB bug has bitten you!! I own three now. I've had to tell myself no more trip buying too, it snowballs and before you know it you have way more than you need.

I know, it makes it so much easier to buy things when you can so "oh, but I just NEED this for Disney... and if the trip is thousands, what's $20 in the big picture?"

Of course, then you end up like me with a whole new wardrobe just for Disney and realizing that you live in Canada and can only wear your summer wardrobe 3 months of the year.:rotfl:

You bought TWO bags! Well, at least they were on eBay and you got great deals! They're both SOOOOOOO cute, Meg. I absolutely adore the pink one! :lovestruc I love that you have all color palettes covered now! Good thinking!

And going back to what I've missed:

You booked CBR! You will it there! I think it's our favorite mod. We also like CSR, but CBR just seems more Disney to us. We haven't been back since they added the Pirate pool or redecorated the rooms so you'll have to take lots and lots of pics for me! Here's a picture of the view of the beach that was just outside our door in Aruba:

Waking up to that every morning was so amazing, I can't even tell you.

Oooh, and Chefs de France! Why have I not heard about this "visit with Remy" thing? How CUTE! I love Remy! We really enjoyed our Chefs de France meal. We had a run-in with another guest that resulted in security having to come (LONG story involving a jerk pulling pranks on guests and videotaping it. He got my brother, who feared being put on YouTube, and a custody battle over a videotape ensued... ), and since we missed our ADR at Biergarten, the security guard "pulled some strings" and got us one at Chefs. The manager came out to greet us and take us to our table, and the staff brought out a cake and sang "Happy Anniversary" to my aunt and uncle (who were celebrating their 25th!) in French. The food was great! I had heard some not-so-great things about it here on the DIS, but I thought it was divine! :lovestruc You'll have so much fun there!

Have fun with your friend this weekend, and I hope you get everything you need to get done this week accomplished! I know all about busy weeks and not having enough hours in the day.

Oooh I'm glad to hear you loved CBR!!! And Chefs des France. I'm even more excited now!

And I would just like to let you know that my VB purchases were all your fault!:lmao: It was the new bag on your PTR that triggered my buying spree LOL

OMG I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU ARE LEAVING THIS WEEK!!!:woohoo: :scared1: :woohoo:

What cute Vera bags!!! I've decided that I "need" one too! I don't think I can shop at ebay online, but I'll start checking them out tonight! And Remy is very cute!

Most of the bags are even cheaper than Ebay on the Vera Bradley sale section of the website! I totally would've bought mine through VB but they don't ship to Canada. And I think I've decided everyone "needs" a mini hipster for Disney.:rotfl:

Ooh, I love the two Vera bags -- especially the pink one! I know what you mean about buying too much. I feel like that already, and our trip is in five months!!! Perhaps we can trade, I'll send you my card and you can send me yours for safe keeping until our trips. Okay? :rotfl:

Sounds like a plan! However I don't know how, uh... safe? your credit card would be with me...:lmao: But still, you're welcome to ship it on over! At least all the purchases I make would be in Canadian dollars so you'd do well with the exchange rate LOL

So many updates since I last posted!

CONGRATS on the June bonus trip! That's just awesome. Time with your Mom and then with your Dad. You're so lucky!

We had booked CBR for our May trip originally, but changed to the Poly when the Buy 4/Get 3 deal came out. It's still on our list of resorts we want to stay at some day. I've heard great things about it.

The VB bags are so cute! I'm not one for most patterns, but the VB is done so well & her designs are always really cute!

You should really enjoy your dinner with Remy! I'd not heard about him before. I'm glad I didn't make an ADR for Chefs like I'd planned at first, DD is completely freaked out by animated mice/rats! If she'd seen him, she would have lost her appetite. She wouldn't watch Ratatouille or Tale of Despereaux with me - said it would give her nightmares. For some reason, this fear does not apply to Mickey or Minnie!:rotfl: I love Remy & Ratatouille personally. I'm sure you'll have a great dinner!

Have fun on your trip to see your friend. I think train trips are always fun and visiting friends is a great reason to take one.:goodvibes

Thanks! I'm really excited for this weekend.:goodvibes

LOL that's so funny your daughter is freaked out by Remy. I think he is the cutest thing ever but I grew up with two gerbils as pets so maybe that's why.

I'm hoping in the next update we'll have our decorated pillowcases done... inspired by you and SP of course!:goodvibes

Hi! That is really sweet - I just have a site, that is it - but I saw Remy in the window when I passed by (I knew he was there) and figured I'd have a meal and get the pics/video to share with everyone.

I love Ratatouille too! And I recommend the vegetable lasagne, not too expensive and very tasty. :) Thank you for enjoying my photos and I hope you have a wonderful trip!

Your Remy pictures really are the best I've seen, I was so happy to stumble upon them!

Mmm I'll have to write down the vegetable lasagna in our trip notes. My mom is a huge lasagna fan. I've been eyeing the mac and cheese myself.popcorn::

I love your bags; great choices!!

PLEASE, PLEASE. PLEASE let me know your opinion about Remy when you get back! I've been debating cancelling Le Cellier to do that one now that he's there, but I just don't know. The videos I've seen haven't been great enough to completely change my mind. I'm relying on you to help me decide!

I absolutely will! I'll take extra pictures just for you. I've eaten at Le Cellier in the past so hopefully I can make a good recommendation. I tend to love all food at WDW though so I'll try to find my inner critic.:rotfl2:

Two VB bags!!! I agree, you definitely need both colors to coordinate with your outfits and your DM needs to loose the fanny pack!!:rotfl:

I have a confession to make. I have, in the past, also worn fanny packs at Disney World. I have seen the errors of my ways and am hoping that the VB bags make up for my transgressions.:rotfl:

Oh, and just to let you guys know, I had to delete a few smilies to get under the image limit so if your posts look a little different, that's why! LOL

OOOH! Good to know! Thanks! :thumbsup2

Hey girl! I can't believe how much I missed! A June trip! Wahoo!! I bet you'll like CBR. I've never stayed there, but I keep going back and looking at the pics! :)

And I love your new VB bags. Shopping on Ebay...so dangerously addicting. Hope everything is going well!! :)

OOOH! Good to know! Thanks! :thumbsup2

Well I can see from your PTR that you didn't waste any time putting that info to good use!:rotfl: Glad I could help.:goodvibes

I'm sure you had your plate full with TBM!!!:upsidedow

I'm looking forward to seeing what CBR is like, I'll make sure to get lots of pictures. And thanks! I can't wait to get the VB bags and post pics of them.:thumbsup2

My mom and I went to Disney on Ice last night and I got a TON of pictures so I'm hoping to get those uploaded within the next few hours. We had so much fun!!

Okay, I'm back and I have pictures!

We had such a fun time last night. It was just what I needed to make the wait until May a little more bearable. We were originally going to go out for dinner first but I had two shifts at the hospital and I wanted a short nap so we ended up just eating at home. My mom and I decided to wear our Disney sweatshirts (we had to wear our coats over top though!)

IMG_1130.jpg

We decided to take the subway down (look! my brother is making a cameo! he was on his way to the drafting room at university to work on an assignment)

IMG_1133.jpg

I was pretending the subway the the monorail (it was our Disney night, you know LOL) and doing the whole "Por favor mantengase alejado de las puertos" thing under my breath and my brother was so embarrassed he ended up moving across the train haha. I amused myself, at least! We arrived at Union Station and took the SkyWalk to the Skydome.

IMG_1135.jpg

I took a few pictures from the SkyWalk of our lovely city:

We eventually made it to the Skydome and immediately it felt "Disneyish". There was Disney music playing, Disney merchandise everywhere... we had to find our seats quickly though because we got there about 10 minutes before the show started!!

IMG_1142.jpg

We got to our seats quickly (we were only 9 rows away from the ice, woohoo!) and before we knew it, the show had started! First out were Mickey, Minnie and the gang:

Then once they skated off ice, Cars began. I did watch Cars last week in preparation and I thought it was cute, but not one of my favourite Disney movies. I'm glad I saw it before DOI though!!

IMG_1159.jpg

IMG_1160.jpg

After Cars was The Little Mermaid (this was my favourite part)

Then the last scene before intermission was The Lion King. This was my mom's favourite part.

After intermission, they did a Pixie Hollow scene.... which made me really wish I'd seen the movie! But oh well, it was still really cute (and pretty!)

The Fab Five came out again at the end for the finale and then it was over!

All in all it was a really good night and I had a lot of fun. I would definitely recommend the show especially since the tickets are pretty inexpensive! It was the perfect Disney fix. I've got some packing to do now because I'm leaving for my mini train trip tomorrow so I'll be away for the next couple of days since I'm not planning on bringing my laptop with me. Once I'm back on Monday though... my Disney countdown will be in the 30s!!!!! SO EXCITED for that to happen!!!

I hope all of you have absolutely wonderful, magical weekends.

What a fun night!!! You and your mom just seem like such great friends--it reminds me of me and my mom.

Now I want to look into Disney On Ice. I don't know if they've already been to OKC or if they're even coming, or if I can even get tickets. But I'm gonna check it out. The last time I went to DOI was right after Toy Story came out! :rotfl: So it's been a long time!

I'm glad you and your DM had a wonderful time at DoI! We really enjoyed the show. Emily dances around the house and says, "I stating like Didney on Ice!" :cutie: She has asked to go back several times!!

Ooh the show looked so much fun.

Thanks, it was!:goodvibes

Awww, Disney on Ice looks like so much fun!! :thumbsup2

Well of course I have you to thank for letting me know about the tickets... otherwise I never would have known! So both my mom and I say thank you.:thumbsup2

Ohmygosh, I remember when Toy Story came out! I went to go see it in theaters and I LOVED it. That sure is a long time ago... I googled Toy Story and it came out in 1995!:scared1:Was it really that long ago? Holy cow!

My mom and I are great friends.:goodvibes Honestly, I love spending time with her and I do think of her as one of my best friends. We have so much fun together, she's great.:lovestruc

Hey! I hope you had a good weekend. DOI looked like a lot of fun. I love the pictures especially of the city. So pretty!

It looks like you guys had such a great time at the show! Loved the pics!! Btw, I think it's hilarious that you embarrassed your brother on the subway. That's something I would've done to DH...and he would've moved too. :rotfl:

37 MORE DAYS!!!

I'm back and catching up!

Yeah for 2 VB bags!!!!!! I love VB - need to choose a new one for the trip, come to think of it!

Disney on Ice looked like fun - we saw the Disneyland Adventure one which was great too!

Yep, I can be an embarrassing person to be with LOL. My brother was definitely grumpy at Disney this year, I bet he and your DH would get along just wonderfully! haha

I got one of the Vera bags in the mail today!! I'll post pictures in a bit. Disneyland Adventure sounds like fun... I would love to see a Disney on Ice based on WDW!!

I can't believe it's only 38 days more!! Well 37 now. :rotfl2: Time is just flying by!

I know!!! I feel like I blink and all of sudden I'm taking another Mickey head off the fridge. I just hope the trip itself doesn't go by this fast! LOL

i love all your pictures! it looked like so much fun! Disney On Ice comes here like the night before we leave for Disney. Im bummed I will be missing it so Im glad I can see your pictures of it! :goodvibes

Great pics of the Disney on Ice show! It looks like you guys had a great time! I love that your brother was boarding the train the same time you guys were..so funny. :rotfl2:

We went to DOI years ago when it was Finding Nemo theme & sat front row center. It was such a blast! The show comes here while we're actually in WDW this year, so we have to pass. I think we'll be having too much fun to miss it, though.

Did you have fun on your weekend trip?
