and the house it to quiet and I miss them already. My sister took Chelsea and Austin camping with her for the weekend. They will have so much fun but Mommy already misses them. I better start cleaning there rooms and getting rid of all the junk and broken toys it will probably take me all weekend to clean.

Oh, I feel your pain! I hate it when my kids are gone.

Good luck cleaning. We are heading to the ocean tomorrow for the weekend and I told my oldest DD that if she doesn't clean out her room tonight she will be spending the weekend at her grandparents house rather than the ocean

...you can bet she will be right in her room after we get home today cleaning away!!

You need to get out and do something fun! Enjoy your little bit of freedom.

When my ex and I first separated--it just about killed me every time DD went to spend the weekend with him. She and I had never been apart except for the occasional sleepover at a friend's (she had the sleepover, not me!) But after a few months, I was tapping my foot and looking at my watch, thinking "Where in the heck is he?" I loved to have a bit of down time to just read, go see a movie I wanted to see, clean in peace and quiet.

So enjoy! They'll be back soon enough!

And you better take those garbage bags out of your house and dispose of them at the dump before they come home. If they are anything like my dd, the year I did that I had tears running all over the place with her - she claimed I was throwing out all her memories!!!!!

Sad that your kids are gone, but imagine all that you will get done! Once DD5 is in kindergarten in the fall (sniff, sniff) I will be going on a big cleaning fest. Right now they still catch me - "Mom, why are all these cool things in the trash??"
