They Don't Eat Hash Browns in Princessland - May 14 COMPLETE! 2/8 pg. 73

Continued from previous post:

At this point, I wanted to get a few pictures of the desserts at the buffet, because they were so absolutely adorable!

This was just decorative.

Mini versions of the big cupcake!

Another decorative cake.

Suddenly, I'm taking pictures, and Mom is waving frantically in my direction. I'm like "what?!" and she yells DONALD!

Needless to say, I ran like I've never run before.

I got there in the knick of time. And look at my goobery face!

I think I get my goobery face from a little someone named Popadon.

Once Stormtrooper Donald came by, it was time for dessert. We had a little time before the last character came by.

I got the Blue Ice Cream.

And a lovely smattering of other items.

As we were finishing up dessert, our last character came by. The big bad himself. In underwear no less.

All in all? This meal was a huge success for us. The meal was a lot better than I anticipated it being. Now, it was a bit steep. Would I pay that price ($60 a person) for just the meal? No way jose! However, for the experience and the characters, I would totally do it again. I'm hopeful that they offer it again next year, so my brother and I can do both of the meals on our SWW trip.

At that point, after we finished up, the park was very very closed. The meal took quite some time, and add on top of that the fact that we were seated well past our reservation time.

We strolled back to the Boardwalk very slowly. Having a hotel in walking distance is great, because you can start working off your food already.

Soon, we made it back to the hotel and we were heading to bed. It had been an amazing trip so far. So many new and fun experiences!

Up next: Pool time!

That Star Wars character meal looks pretty fun! And that mention of next year's meals makes me think maybe we could meet up with you there if things work out for both of our trips! :goodvibes

Great update, as usual! :thumbsup2

I love the description at bag check. :rotfl2:

So nice to see the H & V dinner and the characters there. Looks like dinner was good.

You never fail to entertain. :rotfl2: Love all the pictures.

Great updates, Danielle! Loved all the food and the SWW characters!!!

I especially love that your dessert plate appears to have included tots. :rotfl2:

Okay, back for part 2 comments:

The sww meal looks awesome! I know jenna probably really would've enjoyed either of them, and so would've I but the money was steep and I wasn't sure how it was going to be, but now after reading everything I definitely hope they add it next year and I'll totally do it!

Ahahahaha you're absolutely adorable with donald!! LOVE IT!

Now the lady DISers will be looking for Clint at HS! I know I will!

That Star Wars dinner looked like it was a blast! I like your outfit and your mom's shirt. Btw, I love that your dessert plate has a few random tater tots on it!

What a great update.

That ice cream sandwich in Epcot. Omg that has been on my bucket list. I'm sure in September when I finally get one it will be one of those "get in my belly" moments. :)

That Star Wars dinner looks like so much fun. Chip and Dale Ewoks are so cute.

I will be keeping a close eye out for that bag check guy. Nothing like a little eye candy to start your morning :)

The brioche ice cream sandwich looks delicious!

Love your Star Wars outfit.

It's too bad you had a dinner reservation to get to, instead of getting to stay back and admiring Clint :goodvibes

Awesome character pics!!

Are those tater tots on your dessert plate? :rotfl2:

Great updates! I love all the Star Wars stuff and your Pop is on top form as usual.

What a fun meal! Your outfits are all so cute.

I loved the picture with your parents and Mickey - super adorable! I think I like Minnie the best, she was a cute Leia!

Looks like a good assortment of food, too! Those desserts look DELISH.

First, I would totally join in on a PHM PTR... I'm not doing the Princess weekend this year, but am doing a half here in Tampa that same weekend - it would be fun to see/hear about your progress!

Second - I'm with you on the "they don't look like runners" thing. I saw some runners during the marathon that were BLOWING by me (some were twice my age for sure!), and I was just in awe! I was so inspired by that, because it just shows that you don't have to have a certain body type to do a race. "Fit" comes in all sizes and shapes, and it took a few races to help me figure that out! :)

Also - LOVE that you have tater tots on your dessert plate. I can eat them at any meal, any time of day!!

Just joining in on your trip report and wanted to say Hi. :wave2:

I love watching for your different outfits. They look so fun. I am also loving your food pictures. I'll be heading to Epcot in September and I will have to watch for the nudel gratin as well as the ice cream brioche!

I have to say that your home location pulled me into the trip report. I used to live outside of Milwaukee and that was my home airport for years. Since we moved to Florida we had family move to the Dekalb area so we fly into Midway or O'Hare to see them, which ever has the best direct flights.

Looking forward to reading more!

Great update Princess ;)

haha - your Pop in the first pic has a look like from a local commercial around holiday time wishing "from our family to yours ...."

I am absolutely getting one of those brioche ice cream sandwiches next trip! Good thought though in that splitting one might be the best call

love your leggings! Also love your moms shirt - very cute

your drinks both sound really good - and Judi said they both did too as I read off the ingredients to her. I am wondering if they didn't want the red lightsaber with the red drink so that is why they named the drinks the way they did? :confused3

the mini-cupcakes look great ... and great use of the Ron running gif! - though he would be running towards the food if there was steak or burgers or other meet involved .... or bourbon :rotfl2:

Glad you felt the meal was worth it ... definitely if you are into meeting the characters it is a great way to meet at bunch at once without waiting in lines.

I'm so glad you are able to get back on track with your training! I hope to do the princess half in 2016.

The ice cream sandwich looks so yummy, it is on my must-do list for August.

Hi There :wave2: Subbing in!

Your story has me laughing already! Not just at your Pops who is HILARIOUS but your whole family! You guys seem like such a good time! I can't wait to keep reading along! :lmao:

YAY RUNNING! I would love a Princess Half PTR, especially to see your costume ideas!

The ice cream shop doesn't open until 12 and thus I have a bit of a vendetta against it...I wanted ice cream at 11:30 dangit! That ice cream sandwich looks delicious!

Gnome Duffy is so cute. I'm dying.

That cat picture is exactly how I react to cute men.

All of your outfits are so perfect for the dinner!

Your parents using the Force with Mickey is such a great picture!

It was interesting. I had one major complaint with it. The cupcake itself was way too heavy! It was more like cornbread than it was a cupcake, which was not what I wanted. The flavor was fine, the maple frosting was yummy. I think the pretzels on top could have been done away with. They were completely innocuous to be honest.

So all in all. Meh. Was a bit of a disappointment.

This is totally how we felt about it! Meh.
OMG I love that your dessert plate has tator-tots on it! Love me some tator-tots with just about anything!

Great updates, Danielle.

:yay::yay::yay: that you can run again. :)

We weren't a fan of the bacon cupcake either. Definitely got two thumbs down from us.

Love to watch the drummers, especially the girl drummers.

The photopass pictures are terrific; your pops is one in a million.

Your outfit for the evening was spectacular.

What great pics with the characters.

You running to see Donald. :lmao::lmao::lmao: I love it.

I would like one of each dessert you showed please.
