This is how waitlists get filled, for lucky people! Today I had to cancel a 3 night HHI 1 bedroom stay for the end of June. Our newest DGB's parents have decided to stay home and relax for the long weekend coming up to 4th of July. This reservation was made with 114 borrowed HHI points, and we do have an overlapping stay in a 2 bedroom for 6 nights that won't be cancelled. I think I can call tomorrow and ask that the 114 replace 114 current UY points in that reservation, and that will leave me with 114 points that I would be able to bank. I have a March UY.

We'll all be seeing each other in Cape May NJ pretty soon, so that's good. Of course we'll miss them in HHI, but there's still plenty of years left on HHI's contract for them to be with us!

They will allow you to exchange the borrowed for regular points in the reservation without canceling the reservation.

If they're all HH points OR made at 7 month for less, you should be OK.

Here's hoping this family group can join us next year in either HHI or VB. We do know for sure that everyone will be in the Smokies for Thanksgiving this year and there's the upcoming trip in Cape May for Walter's Baptism.
