They Call Me MISTER PIG- He Said, She Said (9/1 Lights, Thunder, Fantasmic? Page 47)

Oh, and thank you for the PTR link, I will be readin' that along with my 50 million other thread subscriptions!

50s prime time cafe sounds awesome! We are looking forward to going there in October :)

So sorry to hear about Cat's injury. Sweetie and Boo can to attest to the fact that having a brother is not easy. I wouldn't know.

I thought I was the meanest mom EVER.

You are ALL safe, it's me. I am the meanest mom in the entire world!!! :rotfl2:

we should start a club, b/c I always thought I was the world's meanest mom;)

GREAT update, He/She! And absolutely no fear everyone, I am definitely THE meanest mom in the entire world. Which is OK, because according to my mother (you may have heard of her- the FORMER Meanest Mom in the World EVER) mean people NEVER die. So I guess we all have plenty of time to really debate who had the title.:thumbsup2

Yea! You're back! Great report - And y'all seem like the perfect family to get picked on at 50's Primetime! ;)

We really played along which I think made it so much more fun. Another family by us didn't get picked on at all. I couldn't tell it they were happy about that or not.

hey guys! All caught up! Great posts! just a quick reply this time - gotta go pick up my daughter from the LAST DAY OF SCHOOL ! :cool1: :cool1:

Loved the pic of Cat driving and you two in the back seat! FUN! :)

Last day of school. I am counting the days until The Cat goes back::yes:: I love her, I really do but she is too smart for her own good and will not be like normal kids and spend her summer lazing about. She wants me to give her work and help her with this and that and its driving me nuts!

Anyway thanks! The picture was taken by a nice man walking by who offered. People are so sweet at Disney!

50s Prime Time sounds like fun. I don't like veggies though, so I might be in trouble there. Plus my Adam is probably pickier than Cat!

Sorry about the ankle He.

You don't like veggies? Maybe you could ask "Mom" for fries instead. Potatoes are veggies right ;) He's ankle isn't bothering him much today and I baked him cookies yesterday so he is clearly milking it.

Great update!! I love 50's Prime Time, the food and atmosphere are wonderful. Can't wait to read more.

Melissa

It really was a high point on our trip. Its totally on the must do for our new vacation. Its so much fun :)

Becca - I finally went back and read your PTR - Wow what an amazing time! You are amazing to be able to handle so much all at once! I cheered with you when you had success with your weight loss, cried with you about your Grandfather, and got so stinkin mad when that mean old nasty person attacked you about your lifestyle! :furious: How dare they :( Your trip so far has been such a blast and I am only reading about it! Hope all is well in your house right now! Can't wait to hear about the rest of your trip! :goodvibes

I totally gained back half of that weight :( Darn the yummy Disney food! Oh well I need to get back to working out again.

I was SO upset by that whole nasty post deal. I have never had anyone be so mean for what seemed like no reason. In the end Cat is taking more dance class but less competition (hence less money) It made everyone happy and she will still have 4 comp routines to keep her busy. She was okay with a lot of technique classes so it all worked out! Oh and I doubt I am OCD- but who knows? I am already planning our next Disney trip so I might be ;)

Great update! We have 50s Primetime booked and DH isn't one that generally likes to be picked on, but I warned him about this one...so we'll see how it goes! I hear the waiters and waitresses are pretty good at reading a person, so if he's obviously in the "don't tease me" mood, I'm sure they won't-and we'll just enjoy watching the antics with other families!

And if they do pick on him....well, I warned him! :rotfl:

I cannot wait to eat the Smores dessert.....:faint:

I think they are good at reading people and we were totally for playing along. You might want to warn him, or just get him in the mood. Its a lot of fun. Oh and the desserts are to die for! :faint:

No problem! :rotfl:

Its yummy and so fun. I think you are going to enjoy it. And Cat is doing much better (or so she says) she has dance nationals next week complete with back handsprings so lets hope she is feeling 100%:) Back handsprings make me so nervous:worried:

First off thanks! And yea! Never Die! WooHoo! Thats good because I have years of torment yet to inflict on her, just wait until she starts getting crushes! :stir:

I am still laughing about the 50's Prime Time -- I so want to eat there, but I think Charles would just die on the spot if someone tied a bib on him and scolded him for not eating his veggies! :rotfl2:

We also ate at 50s for the first time and loved it! I could barely eat! The waitress ("Aunt" Jan) told us that we were drinking so much tea that we were going to wet the bed! LOL! The girl at the table next to us (ahe was about 30) was getting sassy with her so Aunt Jan put her in the corner for a time out and the other waiters/waitresses that were passing by would go "oooooooo, you got in trouble!" It was the most fun I have had in a long time! I had the pot roast and smores. YUM!

I wish we would have gone to 50s Prime Time last time we were there. We went back and forth on whether to go or not. Next time!

Hope everyone is feeling better and that all injuries are healed. It's time to enjoy the summer! Keep the updates coming. :) Your trip report is one of my favorites that I am reading. I love the He Said She Said format. It is so fun!

Back handsprings? YIKES! :scared1: Yeah, my girls aren't there yet, but I guess there isn't much of that in ballet, anyway. I wish her loads of luck!

When are dance nationals?

-Back handsprings- Adam beat his record the other night at gymnastics and did 7 in a row. He then promptly fell over because he was so dizzy. :rotfl2:

Ok, ok, so I've been reading for weeks.. finally thought I'd admit it, now that you're almost done. Thought I should at least say that you guys are awesomely entertaining and seem like the perfectest lil family ever! And I can't wait to hear all about the NEXT trip!

Oh my gosh!! I just sat here and read your whole entire report (while I was supposed to be working!!;) ) and it was wonderful!!!!!!

Your observations of LCA mirrored ours. I enjoyed the action and stunts, DW found it a little boring :rolleyes1 (but she didn't fall asleep :rotfl2: ). It definately isn't a place to "cool off".

We also enjoy the 50's PTC. We haven't been there our past couple of trips, but we do have an ADR for our December trip.

I'm gonna miss reading your report when it's finished. It's been very enjoyable. You've inspired me to help my DW write a report after our next trip in October. It will be my first attempt. She's written 5 or 6 of them.

We cancelled our PTC ressie last April. My 13 yr old is very self-conscious and would just DIE of embarrassment. So we decided to play it safe. I would love to do it sometime with a crowd of friends, though. I bet that'd be a blast!

Oh, and I agree that LMA is mostly a "boy" thing. I have been twice now and I can seriously take it or leave it. I find the whole thing rather boring (and smelly with all the exhaust and burnt rubber and flames). But the boys enjoy it! Maybe next time, I'll send them on their way and take myself to Beauty & the Beast ;)

Isn't that reason enough ;) He doesn't embarrass easily or I would have spent a lot of time planning ways for him to get picked on. :rotfl: I on the other hand tend to turn bright red but luckily our "Aunt" didn't do much to me.

Oh that sounds like so much fun! Now I wish He had sassed someone! ;) The food is yummy. The smores... drooling just thinking about them.

Aww Thank You! He is out seeing a movie with friends so he can't be feeling that bad! Anyway I would recommend trying Prime Time on your next trip, its not for everyone but it can be a lot of fun.

Back handsprings? YIKES! :scared1: Yeah, my girls aren't there yet, but I guess there isn't much of that in ballet, anyway. I wish her loads of luck!

Until Cat got into Competition Dance I had no idea that back handsprings were practically a dance requirement these days. I was floored at all the girls that could do them, cut to two years later and everytime she does time I just cover my eyes. Way too nerve wracking! Anyway she has a gymnastics private in the morning so we will see how she is doing.

Seven in a row :faint: Cat is no where near that! Nationals are the week of July 4th in Myrtle Beach (we do Showstopper) It is not my favorite time of year. I dislike Myrtle Beach anyway (but I love Ocean Isle) and over the 4th it is unbearable. I just can't wait for it to be over and for her to learn her new routines. Those songs start to really get annoying after a year! :headache:

Oh my gosh!! I just sat here and read your whole entire report (while I was supposed to be working!!;) ) and it was wonderful!!!!!!

I love reading trip reports when I am supposed to be cleaning!:rolleyes1 Anyway welcome! I'm glad you found us!

WooHoo for Delurking :woohoo: Thanks for dropping us a line. I am already mentally planning our next trip though He insists we won't be going back anytime soon :(

Oh carrying the He Said\ She Said Tradition! :goodvibes LMA was okay but totally a boy thing IMO. Prime Time is so much fun, I hope you get a good server. They really make all the difference.

You are a good mom. I would take Cat at that age just so I could see her turn ten shades of red. Yup I'm evil :stir: Poor kid, just wait until she starts getting crushes on boys and I can really embarrass her!

Man I wish I had thought about ditching for Beauty and the Beast. I was trying to be nice since He had the baby blues.

Hey Showstoppers has one National in Annaheim, you should lobby for the studio to go there and then you can go to Disneyland! ::yes::

Showstoppers says the Nationals will be live on the web, you'll have to let us know when in the schedule Cat is so we can watch!

Hi Becca! Back from our trip and all caught up on the latest installment.

Laughed out loud at your experiences with 50s PTC. The pix of He trying to hide his lettuce was hysterical! And -- I LOVE that Fried Chicken dish!

And, on a side note for all PPs - don't be afraid to try 50s PTC. You can alert the hostess before you're seated that you don't want to be picked on - they'll gladly leave you alone if that's what you want. There are many kids out there who would not realize it was all for "play" - the staff understands that. You could then just sit back and enjoy everyone else getting yelled at!

Yeah my DD was a little afraid she would get in "trouble", LOL! She didnt have as much fun as she could have had I think.
