I am so sorry for you. I have to change mine also, but right in the beginning. I was Tolkien7 and then someone realized that a number had gotten by them! But I feel pretty attached to DocHT now. Why don't you try the same name without the _?

for the original poster- my guess would be in agreement with the other who mentioned it- it is the punctuation in the name- anyone also notice we can no longer say friends names if they have punctuation in their names.

Purpleduck- I've no reason why your friend has to change her name- makes no sense there... guess she is the exception to make the reason for name changes being no punctuation in names a rule lol

I think they have some obscure or at least very arbitrary rules about names, and they aren't always consistent. My wife was told that they couldn't approve "FunMommy" as her name. No idea why not, as I've seen numerous names that included a parenting reference, sometimes along with their child's actual name (such as JimmysMom or CoolDad).

i know what might be the problem with your name. you have a dash in your name. the community leaders and vmk staff also have a dash in their names too. they may not like you having a dash because ppl may get confused. idk, maybe that is why.

I would also be willing to bet that the "_" in your original name was a problem. It seems that they are slowly working through all the names with punctuation and making them change.

As for why they would not let you choose DisneyNemo, there should have been a reason in the lower box on your denial screen and I would bet that it was someone else already had the name.

Sorry for your loss, but you will grow into whatever new name you pick that is allowed and will still have all your possessions from before.

I also had a similar problem. My name was "sharkbaitoohhaha" for over a month, then suddenly I was Guest.. again and had to choose a new name. I was not too happy. I am MsSharkBait now.
