Hi guys. Busy busy buuuusy day at work. :headache: Like, I need a happy hour busy.

Did you see my new ticker??? :rolleyes1

This one is almost 100% official this time. :goodvibes

Hellooo Everyone! I'm finally checking in; I felt like I went AWOL!!!

We went to the ranch/waterpark/resort and had a great time...except that I made my already hurting neck worse and DD7 is now sick. Poor little thing.

I need to go back and figure out where I was before we left.

But first, I need to check on the Dole Whip in the ice cream machine. :cloud9: Dole Whip helps sick kids and horribly sore necks, right??? :rolleyes1

KB!

Ok - 9:30 am at the "C"!

Stompy Jones performs at Carnation Plaza Gardens and Scot Bruce performs at the Tomorrowland Terrace.

There is no FP system for TSMM, but the line moves quite fast and we can get in a few extra rides in the morning easily. We should see the first show of Aladdin. We can fill in the day with the other rides with ease. You might be able to finish off DCA before 7 pm.

We can head over to DL, see a show or ride some stuff. See the Fireworks first then see the 10:30 show of F!. I can have our son Chris save some space for us for F!. Anyways, it should work out fine.

Looking forward to seeing you on the 19th!

Sea

Sounds great...pretty sure I still have your # in my cellphone. where do Stompy and Scot perform? *IF* Mike and I don't sleep in (depends on how Friday night goes, LOL) then we will skip DL and meet you at the C at...maybe 9:30? Is that too early? 'Cause we could go straight to TSM -- they still don't have FP's, right? Then maybe Screamin' while we are over there... I know for sure Mike wants to ride ToT with you guys (I'll take the chicken exit, thank you very much), and we want to see Aladdin, and ride Soarin'! If it's hot, GRR would be fun (I'll try to remember our ponchos). If we head over to DL after DCA closes, what would you recommend for timing to try to catch BOTH F! and the fireworks? Sat might be our early entry day at DL, and if we do that then we'll go in early, hit Nemo and the Matterhorn (no SM :guilty:) and then still make it to the C by 9:30. I'm usually commando-style, but don't know how Mike will want to tour, so I'll try not to wear him out too bad :rotfl2: I think he'll be more likely to stay up late with me than get up early... :rolleyes1

Great pix Shelly! I really need to get back there and visit Hershey Park and Chocolate World soon.

Hi Trix - welcome back!

Hey Jo, have a safe trip to your moms!

RF - Nice ticker!

Lake - did you decide on where you wanted to spend a holiday?

Here is a video I took last night of my sister's new dog. She slimed me!

Cute pics Shelly! Your DS10 cracks me up. :lmao:

I love that last pic with him throwing up the rocker sign.

Prayers needed !!!!

Little Malik can use all the help he can get. Not quite 4 years old yet, and he is fighting for his life. It was not the news they were hoping for in London. Malik's tumor is extreamly rare and not curable. They said that radiation therapy would possibly give him 9 months to live. Chemotherapy is really not an option for his cancer. A team is going over Malik's case today in Toronto He is in the Lord's care, we are all still in shock and find it hard to think from here, but we know that through our weakness His is strong.
In all of this is mom Amanda is also 8 month's pregnant, so we are worried about her as well.

Dear Lord, protect this family.

How devastating.

Here is a prayer written by Stormie Omartian:

Lord, because You have instructed us in Your Word that we are to pray for one another so that we may be healed, I pray for healing and wholeness for Malik. I pray that sickness and infirmity will have no place or power in his life.

I pray for protection against this disease that is in his body. Your Word says, He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their descruction (Psalm 107:20).

Wherever there is disease, illness, or infirmity in his body, I pray that You, Lord, would touch him with Your healing power and restore him to total health.

Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you might be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. James 5:16

I read this prayer earlier this week and when I read your post, I just couldn't help but think of it and I wanted to pray this for Malik.

Lake - I am so sorry to hear about Malik and the trials of his family. We will continue to lift him and the family up in prayer.

Did you see my new ticker??? :rolleyes1

So what are the details? popcorn::

Hellooo Everyone! I'm finally checking in; I felt like I went AWOL!!!

I need to go back and figure out where I was before we left.

But first, I need to check on the Dole Whip in the ice cream machine. :cloud9: Dole Whip helps sick kids and horribly sore necks, right??? :rolleyes1

Tell us all about your trip! :yay:

How is DD7 feeling? Did the Dole Whip make everything all better? :goodvibes

So what are the details? popcorn::

Well, all I know is that my aunt wanted to go in Nov for the W&FF, but it ends in the 1st few days if November... So she decied that she wanted to push our trip up a week and we would go to MNSSHP again! :cool1:

We are thinking of staying at CSR and being on the DxDP again. :goodvibes

Hey Trix - did you start/finish Eclipse yet? popcorn:: It's my fav :lovestruc

I think I may re-read New Moon when we're at the beach

It'll be a month before the movie comes out...hmmmm.....

Wow, this post must be old because I just finished Breaking Dawn!

I have - and I am really excited!!! I saw a photo shoot with Dakota Fanning (who is playing Jane - IDK if you knew that) and she looks super creepy.

At first I wasn't sure if I liked the idea of her being Jane, but I took another look at her after I found out - and she is absolutely perfect. She's just what I pictured. :thumbsup2

I can't wait!

So in Eclipse.... are you at the part with a tent?

:rolleyes1

I won't say anything else in case you're not there yet- but that is my FAVORITE part in the whole book.

That part is going to be sooooo hilarious in the movie!!! :lmao:

RF- what is the colour called that you painted your scrap room. I love it. I've been looking for a perfect purplish colour for Emmy's room...and what you chose is beautiful.

Thanks Lake!!! It's called 'Weeping Wisteria' from Behr :goodvibes

Oh my stars! I think I have that exact same color for DD9's room! I'll have to check. How funny! :rotfl:

Well, you guys have summed up my dilema on the chairs.

Like Jo, I love the style of the fabric backed chair, all the detailing of it.

And like Sea, RF and KB I love the all leather chair for it's coloring. I think it will stand out more against the wall and it also picks up the copper color in my rug.

Ugh... I cannot make up my mind!!!

I vote for the all leather chair. Am I too late? Did you already decide? What did you pick??? :hyper:

Trix - Have you finished your book? I need a report. :teacher:

As you may have read above, I finished Breaking Dawn tonight. What a weird book...I described it to someone else as "Harlequin Romance turns Alien" at one point. :lmao: It was the only book that I, at times, quit reading when I had time to read more. It felt like the plot didn't really start until about page 500. I guess I like action more than romance! :rotfl2: And I'm so proud of myself because I figured out most of the storyline when I was only about a quarter of the way through. Does that mean I'm smarter than middle school girls? :rolleyes1

Y'all be good and root for the Gators.:rotfl2::rotfl::lmao:

Go Tebow! I mean...GO GATORS!!!
:rotfl2:

Tell us all about your trip! :yay:

How is DD7 feeling? Did the Dole Whip make everything all better? :goodvibes

We had a really good time. It was so good to be doing something fun with just the four of us! :yay:

Of course the Dole Whip made everything better, silly! :dance3:

Well, all I know is that my aunt wanted to go in Nov for the W&FF, but it ends in the 1st few days if November... So she decied that she wanted to push our trip up a week and we would go to MNSSHP again! :cool1:

I'm happy for you, but sad for me because we'll most likely miss you.

Believe it or not, there are some things I forgot to say in my last post.

Sea~that video of you with the dog is soooo cute. She is adorable and she loves you! :lovestruc

Jo~I hope you're having a great time with your family. Enjoy the wedding festivities. :dance3:

Lake~ Little Malik. I'm so sorry. I will keep him and his family in my prayers.

Shelly~love the Hershey TR! The boys crack me up. It's amazing to see how much they've changed since January!!!

Okay, I think that's it...for now, anyway. :rotfl2:

Goooooooooooooood Moooooooorning my MAYers!:goodvibes

Checking in live from sunny, um... just looked outside-- yep- sunny! Charleston!

I've been trying like crazy to steal:rotfl2: some wi-fi- but alas, there was none to be found. So I had to crawl outta bed this morning and stroll a block down to Starbucks.

Um- coffee and free wifi. What a deal.:rotfl:

Our trip so far is going crazy.
We got in okay- bumpy ride in and out of Memphis where we connected, but all in all it was okay.

Got to my Aunt's house and got caught up on the gossip.
And it's bad.:goodvibes

The Bride- the one who is sick and is living in Puerto Rico b/c her DFi job is there-- is still in Puerto Rico.
They are supposed to come home today, but because of the Hurricane, that was downgraded to a Tropical Storm that further got downgraded to a Tropical Depression and has now almost disentigrated-- the airport there has decided to close in preparation.
She tried frantically to get a flight out early- but it was $1500 per person (PRICE GOUGING!) to change their flight--- and the airline (Airtran, I think) told them that if they go to another airline, they can forget taking the rest of their trip for their Honeymoon to Rome. They wouldn't honor it b/c they didn't catch the first leg of their trip at the origination point.

:confused3

So they are hoping the storm passes over and they can get here with enough time to spare to walk the aisle on Sunday night.

Also-- we (My Mom, me and my Aunt) are doing the flowers for the wedding and the wholesale lady called my AUnt and said they had to pick the flowers up TODAY b/c she was going on vacation and couldn't open up the store for us to get it on Saturday.
Um, hello? Flowers die if they aren't refrigerated. Our refrig can't hold 40 DOZEN roses, along with all the hydrangeas and other flowers she got.

So then yesterday we all worked our tails off, went and had lunch (She crab soup--uuummmm.) and then we had our pizza party last night. The Gamecocks made a poor showing, per usual, but we had a great time anyway.

Today we are shopping for a new camera for my uncle. MCat dropped his brand new camera- he's used it exactly twice--and it broke to smithereens.:scared1:

So= that's the news here. A bridal party with no bride. A camera with no lens. A reception hall with dead flowers.

Now I shall go back and catch up with you guys,

Good to be here this morning.:goodvibes

Jo

Oh Lake- I am so very sorry to hear of this awful news. I will be praying so very hard for Malik's complete healing and for his Mom's peace. Bless their little souls.
How devastating.

I absolutely love this prayer,a nd have used it often.

Well, all I know is that my aunt wanted to go in Nov for the W&FF, but it ends in the 1st few days if November... So she decied that she wanted to push our trip up a week and we would go to MNSSHP again! :cool1:

You will love MNSSHP. Mark talks about going back to it every so often. He says it is his favorite Disney Memory. You'll have such a great time. I'm jealous!;)

Okay-- all caught up.

Shelly- loved the TR. I can't believe that we never made it there while we lived there. I think itlooks so fun.

Sea- how's the smoke now? you guys recovering? Got oxygen masks out?

KB-- I hope your trip is so much fun. I am excited for you guys.

Trix--- GO Tebow!! I mean- Go Gators!:lmao: Last night during the USC/NCState game, we kept yelling to Steve Spurrier the coach (Who, btw- is a Gator- he won the Heisman playing for us.:goodvibes) anyway- we all kept yelling "Put Tebow in!":rotfl2:
One day until the Great One takes the Field.

Okay- I have to go. I've got to get ready for the day. My hair is standing on end and the bags under my eyes are hideous.:scared1:

Have a good one, MAYers. I'll check in again in a day or so.

Jo

Oh, Lake...so sorry to hear the news on little Malik.

How devastating.

I love this prayer, too...like the others here, I'm also lifiting up Malik and his family -- they are in God's hands, and there is no better place for them to be. And especially remembering his mother, prayers for her comfort and strength.

I am frantically running around like a chicken with it's head cut off.

Er..... nice visual so early. Sorry- it's a phrase my Mom's always said- but to type it out sounds so much.............................
worse.

Oh yeah, I've got some great "Mom-isms" I drag out and use on my kids from time to time. Like when I'd ask her if she had seen (whatever-fill-in-the-blank-I've-lost-this-time), "Well now, if you looked with your eyes instead of your mouth, maybe you'd find it." Or, since she grew up in the Depression and was so frugal -- "Make do, do without, use it up, wear it out." I actually like that one quite a bit

Y'all be good and root for the Gators.

Now, you KNOW I'm not a football fan. Oh...wait...aren't they the ones with that cute Tebow guy you uh...shared the picture of? ;)

So after our bellies were all full we headed to Chocolate World!

Hershey2009031.jpg

A Chocolate TR -- man, oh, man, I wish it was a scratch-'n-sniff TR... We used to take our kids to the Hershey factory down near Modesto, but it wasn't nearly as big or wonderful as this one in PA looks. Even so, I remember how great it smelled there.

Hi guys. Busy busy buuuusy day at work. :headache: Like, I need a happy hour busy.

Did you see my new ticker??? :rolleyes1

This one is almost 100% official this time. :goodvibes

Yay for your new ticker!!! :yay: Ummm...have you seen mine lately? Less than two weeks now!!!

But first, I need to check on the Dole Whip in the ice cream machine. :cloud9: Dole Whip helps sick kids and horribly sore necks, right???

Dole Whip is a cure-all for everything and anything that ails ya. :thumbsup2 Do you have a recipe or did you find a place to buy a mix?

Looking forward to seeing you on the 19th!

Sea

That's it, your new name is "Tour Guide Sea" :thumbsup2 That schedule sounds great! Does Stompy Jones play for the Swing Dancing?

We are thinking of staying at CSR and being on the DxDP again.

I thought you were saying the DxDP was a bit too much...did it turn out to be worth the extra cost? For us, the regular DDP was just about perfect, because we do like one sit down meal every day. But if I had the opportunity to try the DxDP for a not-TOO-outrageous price, I might just so we'd get the chance to try some of the Signature restaurants. We haven't tried any of those, but we really liked The Wave, Le Cellier, Rose and Crown, Boma, Tusker House, Crystal Palace, PT 50's, GF Cafe, 'Ohana, Raglan Road...I'd gladly go back to any of those places, but definitely am up for trying new ones, too.

Go Tebow! I mean...GO GATORS!!!

Yeah, what she said! I think I am a new football fan...

Yikes! :scared: Don't suppose the reception hall, or any friends and family, have a big walk-in cooler, huh?

KB-- I hope your trip is so much fun. I am excited for you guys.

Oh, me too! I am just like: :woohoo: :yay: :dance3::banana: Ya know?

Okay- I have to go. I've got to get ready for the day. My hair is standing on end and the bags under my eyes are hideous.
:scared1:

Hey, hey, now...I look like that AFTER I get ready for my day...

Good Morning
Thank you all for your kindness, your prayers and your friendship.
It is hard to not be able to do anything for Malik... but he is in the Lords hands.

Today I am packing AGAIN!!! We are heading up to my mom and dad's for the long weekend, and to try and enjoy every last bit of summer before school starts on tuesday. Just waiting for Jason to let me know what time he'll get off work today so we can hit the road. So hopefully the weather will cooperate and we can sit in the sand on the shores of Lake Huron this weekend. :)

Shelly and Trixie are the kids ready for school?????

Jo- I'm so sorry to hear about everything that is happening with the wedding. Sending some good luck your way...fingers are crossed.

Sea- how is the fire situation?

KB- so nice to see you again...so glad your mom is enjoying the move so far.

NC- how was the game last night????

(I love football. But I will admit when it comes to the sport... you all have the award of FANATICS on that one. Your highschools even have their own stadiums, your whole town turns up for games, ect... We arn't like that here. When we drove through Tennesee to the Carolina's 2 years ago, we got caught up for 2 hours in game day traffic. We had never seen anything like it...every car and face decorated... It was so cool. Luckily we were not in a hurry. Of course we canadians are serious about our hockey!!!! But the way you all do football is in a league of its own... :) We loved it.:woohoo:)

Mari - how is school going?

Sulley- did you get summer in florida, unlike us up here?

okay...dishes to wash and bags to pack...i'll be back soon.
