NC~what did you DS think of Great Wolf Lodge? Did he think he was too old for it?

He really liked it! He liked the water slides and wave pool and that it wasn't as crowded as the water park here. The hotel was full but lines in the water park weren't bad.

He did not do the quest. He went to the arcade instead which was a much better place for him.

Morning. :goodvibes

NC - mostly they do the signs that get hung in the stores. Like the 'Try Muscle Milk' or 'Aerie flirty boyshorts 3 for $20' and all of the little cards that have the sizes near the clothes and stuff....

And I am constantly seeing the huge banners that they hang in the stores of girls sitting around in their underwear in the dorm rooms or whatever. :lmao: Because we all sit around in our underwear with our friends..... That's the kind of stuff that they do. Mostly in store, but sometimes stuff that gets sent out...

Wow! Next time I am in there, I'll look at those signs and think of you!

Lake and Trix - I got my Frankenmuth Visitors Guide in the mail today!!! :cool1:

Let's plan it!! :yay: Maybe March - weather and finances permitting of course!

I have a question...

When you book a bounceback deal, can you book more than one room? My family is down in WDW right now and they got a sweet bounceback offer that I think we are going to try to use for next years trip. :thumbsup2

But I'm not sure if we can get the same offer as them :confused3

And my cousin told me on the phone that it's for next year - but I don't want to get too excited because I haven't ever heard of a bounceback for the following year. Everytime that we would get a bounceback offer it would only be good until the end of that year... :confused3

Hmmm.... I hope I didn't misunderstand! It was a great offer! Free dining in Aug or Sept and you stay at either the WL or AKL for $96 a night!!!

Wow that deal sounds a little too good to be true RF. . . That's like 2 offers combined and I don't think Disney ever does that. . . :confused3

Free dining is always offered in August and September. And it is always offered as a bounceback for the following year, from what I have read.

Whenever we have had a bounceback offer in our room it has always been for the same year too. But that has been during the first half of the year. So if you are there during the second half of the year your bounceback is probably for the next year.

So I'd say that they do actually have a bounceback for next year, but I'm not so sure about that offer - with free dining and a 40% room discount. . . I'd definitely have them double check. Maybe go to their resort concierge and get the details. And have them ask how many rooms they can book! I know when I had a PIN it was good for up to 3 rooms.

I may have misunderstood him. Or he may have been saying that they got the 40% off offer during when they usually have free dining...

Like I said - I am trying not to get too excited about it. But even if they can just get the 40% off - then I may be staying Deluxe next year. :snooty:

And going 3 months earlier than expected!!! :yay:

just a quick Mayer hi!

Mom got here, moved into her new apartment, I'm exhausted, and now it's Monday and I'm at work :rotfl2: Lunch break is over so talk to you soon...

I am so glad the move went well with your mom! I know that was exhausting!

Mroning- <-----(ETA what the heck is Mroning? I must work in the same dept that made those patches for D23!) :)

been MIA for a few days--

Lake- great news on Malik! What's the course of action now? Did they get the results of what type of tumor it was?

NC- glad you had a good time on your trip. Was your Dh able to relax at all?

RF- did you get the bounceback? That sounds like a great deal to me.

Mari-- hugs to you. How are you doing?

KB-- glad you got your mom all moved down. I know that was very tiring. You're a good daughter!:lovestruc

Sea-- awesome pics of your DL fun time with friends! It's so funny to see places I've bheen to out there.:3dglasses

Trix-- did you get it downloaded?

Shelly--- how did your DS fare at the sleep over? Drew STILL hates sleep overs, LOL. He's a homebody.:goodvibes

So--- yesterday, I went back to High School. Dang I miss those days.:lmao:
MCats teachers all seem really super nice-- although SUPER tough. I don't now how she'll get it all done. Her Spanish II teacher is her old cheerleading coach-- one she LOVED. So-- she's excited about that.
I was there from 7:30-3:30. All day. It was nice, actually and about 80- 90% of the kids had a parent there. So that was good.
We had a couple of sightings of the ex-boyfriend and I reiterated my initial stance on how he wasn't good enough for her.:goodvibes She was okay with seeing him- no tears or meltdowns.

Then we left there and came screaming across town to grab Drew and Belle to take them to their schools. (Different ones). Drew's teachers seem nice- but very down-to-business-you're-in-Middle-school-type ladies.
Then it was off to Belle's school where we met her teacher and she is FABULOUS. I was so excited.

SO that was my day and night in a nutshell.
Oh, and I'm sick. Belle gave her not the Swine Flu -flu to Drew who in turn shared the wealth with me, and I so graciously gave it to Mark.

Anyone got any extra delsym?????????????? We've gone thru five bottles over here.:rotfl2:

I have to take the kids out for last minute stuff today- I'll check in later.

Hugs to MAYers near and far.

Jo

Good morning MAYers!

Glad you got your mom all moved KB!

RF - did you talk to your family that is in WDW anymore??? :yay: What's the deal? Hey if that is actually the deal - free dining and a $96 deluxe you better hook us all up! :rotfl:

JO - So glad you checked in. I was about to call you! I was just thinking last night that we hadn't heard from you in a few days. I was worried that Belle's flu turned into something worse. Glad to hear that it didn't, but too bad that she shared it with the rest of the family. :sad2: I guess that's what we get for teaching our kids to share!! Sounds like all in all your day went well yesterday. I am worried about the amount of school work/homework DS10 is in for in 5th grade. :scared: I've heard it's a lot. Is it bad that I am hoping that he didn't get put in advanced math again this year? :guilty:

DS7 did okay at his sleepover. I'm not sure he would want to go to another one anytime soon though. He had fun with his friends. But he didn't eat a thing. Nothing. Not even cake and ice cream. :confused3 I know he has food issues, but jeesh he never passes up cake! I dropped him off at 4:00 Sunday evening and picked him up at 10:00 Monday morning and all he had was a glass of milk in the morning. This just reiterated to me why it is that I rarely ever leave my kids anywhere.

I was proud of him for making it through the night though. I kind of expected a call in the middle of the night to come get him. I guess he slept from around 11:30-6:00. That's not much sleep for him.

And DS10 - he was nearly in tears when we dropped his brother off. :sad2: Good grief. Then he was up early (and he never gets up early in the summer) asking if it was time to go get him yet! :faint:

Good morning! :goodvibes

I'm starving today. No matter how much I eat, I just want to eat more. I guess today wasn't a great day to decide that I want to go back to Weight Watchers.

Shelly - I did talk to my cousin last night. He called me while they were waiting for their food at..... drumroll.........

popcorn::

LE CELLIER! :cloud9:

Jerks

I was eating Cocoa Krispies.

But, from what I understand - the deal is legit!! Still not getting too excited until they get back and say that they booked the room(s) - hopefully 2 rooms if they can book more than one! I already told my cousin that I would give them the $200 booking fee ASAP!

So, it looks like I will be changing my ticker pretty soon!!! :woohoo:

Lake and Trix - I got my Frankenmuth Visitors Guide in the mail today!!! :cool1:

Let's plan it!! :yay: Maybe March - weather and finances permitting of course!

I'd love too!

I'll have to see about March my MIL has moved their trip to Florida to March. And they want us to come during our March Break from school.

She hasn't booked anything though. And could change her mind many times yet so keep us in until I have set plans from her.

As for our florida trip,if it happens I doubt we will now do Disney as well... Disney at March Break...I love Disney and all...but March Break crowds I DO NOT!!!!! Unless we just stop for a day at MK on the way in or back from Ft.Myers.

March Break for us this year is the week of March 14.
Are your breaks at the same time?????

Jason and I hope it works out and we can do both, we'd love a meet with you all. Frankenmuth is less than 2 hours away for us.

It's raining and pouring today...can someone send me some summer.
We head for the cottage tomorrow and I don't want this to follow me up there. :(

Jo- Malik update is that they are headed back to London Childrens hospital today for results of the biopsy, and crossing our fingers.

I'd love too!

I don't have the kids schedule yet. I will probably have it on Thursday. We get no real spring break here. Usually consists of a Friday or sometimes a Friday and a Monday in March. Guess that's why we have over 3 months off in the summer!

So that's kind of what I was thinking, of driving to Frankenmuth that Friday and staying until Sunday. But that won't work very well if you are in Florida!!! :rotfl:

Well keep us posted on the Florida plan. Didn't you tell your MIL that March and Disney don't really work for you???

Trixie - you in for Frankenmuth??? Anyone else? :snooty::grouphug::cool1:

Well hopefully your break and ours are at different times, and then it may work out. Because we'd love to join you.

I think my MIL thinks she is helping us out by choosing March, that way we don't have to pull the kids out of school.
But I would.. They are both staight A students..missing 5 days wouldn't hurt in Kindergarten and grade 2.

But as I said...the plans are not set. And my MIL tends to change her plans every month. She is not a planner like we all are. She wants us to come, but won't tell us when or where. Things more than likely could change and they could end up not going at all even.

It drives me NUTS!!!!!!!

If she does cancel..then we could meet at Frankenmuth and maybe even do WDW in Nov. with you. :)
