Morning-
NC-- oh my gosh--- at 4 am the tornado sirens started wailing. Guess who slept thru them and dreamed she was at the kids school and there were sirens in the backgraound and she said 'Oh no- a tornado's coming' and then didn't actually wake up until the whole thing was done and over with???

Me, the tornado scardey-cat!

It's 100% chance of rain today here. Hope your head feels better. How did your kids do at school? Does Chloe like MS? Drew hated it--- he came home in tears, Belle came home exuberant.

Typical.
RF-- maybe your not nice summer will mean you'll have an easy mild winter.
Here's hoping.
Hello to everyone else. Must get breakfast now!
Jo

I cannot believe you didn't wake up! Well, yes I can. I can never hear the sirens in my house. I wish I could. I think the news station here has a phone alert system that will call your house to warn you about a storm. I have never signed up. Even if I were signed up, our phones do not ring after 10 p.m. My hubby has the system set to turn off at that hour. Our cell phones ring but that is it. So that wouldn't help either!
I am so sorry that Drew had a bad day. What happened? Were the kids mean? Did he get lost? Poor baby. Did he take the wrong notebook to class? God love 'em, it is hard to go to middle school.
Chloe of course LOVED it!

She loved the whole changing classes, seeing friends in between class, at the lockers, etc. Being in different rooms, that teachers had decorated differently. She loved her teachers, most of which have had Chris and remember him fondly (thank the Lord!)
The school is trying something different this year. The science class is separated by gender, something about studies show girls learn better in an all girl class and boys learn better in an all boy class. Well, a little boy named Aubrey walked into the science class that Chloe was in. Bless his heart, they did his schedule wrong and scheduled him for the girl class. He was mortified!

I felt so sorry for him when Chloe told me. I hope that didn't happen to Drew.
Chloe's only issue is that just before lunch, she has PE. She walks thru the middle school building past 7th grade and 8th grade areas, outside past the cafeteria/fine arts building then to the gym. After PE she had to walk from the gym, past the cafeteria, past 8th grade and 7th grade areas to the 6th grade area to her locker, get her lunch, then back from 6th grade, past 7th and 8th, back outside to the cafeteria. Most seats were taken, but some of her friends scooched together so she could sit with them. I told her just to take her lunch with her to PE, then bam, pop out of the gym and into the cafeteria, she would be the first one there. So then she asked if it was legal to take your lunch with you to PE...

I swear, where do they come up with these lines.
The science teacher needs lizards for her critter cages so were out chasing lizards last night. Never did catch one, but we named them Speedy and Gonzolas! Those suckers were fast. I certainly would never touch one but watched and tried to head one off that we were chasing on the driveway. That would be Speedy. Maybe we will try again tonight, unless the lizards drown in this rain.
My head is killing me. 2 Advil, 1 Excedrin, 2 Sudafed, 1 iced tea, and I still can't lean over. I hope I am better by the time I go to my hair appointment.
If this little guy was pulsing or throbbing,
that would be my head!
Ouch!
