It's the bedspread that always get's ruined, so I just have a blanket on the bed. But no bedspread because they were getting ruined right and left. It'd take me awhile to pick a new one and BAM! Ruined! Pick a new one, BAM! Ruined! Pick a new one, BAM! Ruined!

This made me laugh out loud...BAM!

Trixie--- 4 weeks from yesterday, I will be salivating, foaming at the mouth. 4 weeks from today, I will wake up hoarse.:rotfl:
The opening game is against... my old college in SC.:) I went to Charleston Southern!!!!:rotfl: So much for school loyalty and all.:lmao:
We watched lots of taped games yesterday. woo hoo!
Sorry about the stinky weather. I hope that it's better today. When will you guys get home? Are you staying until Wed.?

The weather still had stinky moments, culminating in a huge stink-fest. We came home Sunday night...I'll fill you in in a post all it's own.

Well, I have made all my reservations for our little weekend outing to Embassy Suites/Outdoor World and Great Wolf Lodge.

When are you going? Where is it? How did you convince your DS that it would be okay???

Well. . . I would have been glad to share yesterday, but NO ONE was here to share with! So I figured I would just make you all wait!:rotfl:

Even if we're not online, we're always here in spirit! :hippie:

Trixie, are you home yet or are you still camping?

Yep, we're home now...more to follow.

-Trixie...didn't Sea's little getaway town look a little like Frankenmuth..lol ( A German town in Michigan)

That's exactly what I was thinking when I was looking at the pictures!!! Did you know that I  Frankenmuth? I think I even did a mini TR for Shelly when we went last fall!

Malik has a brain tumor. The little man has a fight ahead of him.

Prayers are being said. Keep us posted.

Busy day...I need to start packing for the cottage. We leave next week.
Then I have a dentist appointment at 4, and my girlfriends and I are going to see Jule and Julia tonight at the movies...I'll report on it for you tomorrow.

I'm still trying to finish reading The Time Travellers Wife as well, before we go to see it.

Still haven't found the bedding I want...I think I'll wait and look on my next trip cross border.

Other than that crossing my fingers for Malik and praying everything will be ok.

Morning all! :goodvibes

Trix - Welcome home! How was your vaca? popcorn::

Sea - I hope everything went well yesterday. How's Lena doing? Are your boys hanging in there?

On a side note - your vacation pictures were awesome. :goodvibes Love the dead animals.

KB (and Sea) - I expect to see that video! With some sweet dance moves again!!!

Lake - I got mail from Canada yesterday!!!! Bob was sooo excited - he didn't realize that they were coming! He was like 'Awww, I love them!!'

I didn't know that you were reading the time travelers wife. I am too! I am finding it difficult to get into though. :confused3 I keep getting caught up on the ages and dates rather than the story. But I just started, I'm only a few chapters in. We'll see.

Also - prayers for your friend and her little boy. I hope everything turns out alright. :grouphug:

Hi to Shelly, Jo and NC and any other MAYers out there!!!!! :snooty::snooty::banana::snooty::snooty:

Hi Mayers,

Yesterday was a pretty hard day, but we made it through. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.

Today is Jeremy's 23rd birthday! They left around 6:30 am and headed down to DL for rope drop. Since he is an APer, he can get the 72$ gift card, so I am wondering what he might come home with.

Here is a pic my wife just put up on FB from her phone:

This past weekend was 40th anniversary of the Haunted Mansion. Had a few friends that went to the Shag private party and got to meet him. He is the artist that designed all those HM items I posted last week.

The next day they went to DL and of course, visited HM. While in line my friend looked down and saw this tattoo on this guy's leg...does anyone know why this looks so familiar?

Trix - Welcome home! How was your vaca? popcorn::

Well, we had some terrible weather, some decent weather, and some really terrible weather. As in, catastrophic weather.

Sunday afternoon was really nice...although the waves were huge and the sky looked a bit weird...we were keeping an eye on the weather. Well, we were grilling burgers for dinner when my mom called my cell phone and said we were going to get a bad storm and it was heading right for the State Park we were in. My mom tends to exaggerate, so I didn't think much of it, except that we put the awning up on the camper so it didn't get blown around too much.

Then my sister called me. She said that she heard on TV that anyone who knew anyone who was out at the beach in my town needed to be notified to get out of there! A huge storm was coming! 70 mile per hour winds and hail were predicted. :scared1: My sister wouldn't have called me if it weren't serious. So we decided we needed to get the pop-up camper down so it didn't blow away or break! By this point, the park rangers were driving around warning people to take cover or get out (we had sent my girls home with DH's parents right before that~luckily they were there to eat dinner with us), sirens were sounding, and DH and I were running around like crazy people, trying to get everything packed into the camper or the car.

Well, to make a long, horrible story short, we got the camper down, but not until the worst of the storm was over. :headache: Let me tell you...you do not want to be standing on a beach with sand blowing at you and rain pelting down on you in 63 mile per hour winds. (That's what my in-laws wind-o-meter said was the highest gust~~second highest in the history of them being in that house by the beach...since 1985.)

By the time we got out, the park was a mess. Tents were blowing around everywhere, peoples' junk was strewn all over the place, the power was out to most of the town, and traffic lights were out. DH and I were just shot emotionally. Like in a daze. This was the closest we had ever been to a natural disaster. And the camper wasn't even ours, we borrowed it from friends!!! Ugh.

Later that night, DH went back and got the camper and we got all the wet stuff out and set it up to hopefully dry out. I figure if we damaged it beyond repair, we just bought ourselves a camper. But it seems to be drying out, so I think we'll be okay.

Looking back on it and telling the story, it doesn't seem as traumatic as it was at the time. But we're all okay and that's all that matters. The only thing that hasn't been accounted for yet is the lid to my huge tupperware bowl. Oh, and my car doesn't run. It's being towed to the dealership this afternoon. I think some part got waterlogged (this happened before Christmas, too) and wrecked havoc on the computer. Hopefully the repairs will be covered under warranty and the towing will be paid by our insurance.

I bet I'll get a new car out of all this mess, so there is always a silver lining, right??? :sad2:

Hey--- I was just thinking---

Mari!!!

"Whhhhhere aaarrrrrreeeee yyyyoooouuuuuu?":goodvibes

You haven't been on here in awhile. Where are ya girl? Hope your summer is going good.

Check in when you can!

Jo

Trixie - OMG!!! :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

Wow. I think you are in need of a nice relaxing vacation. Can you guess where I think you should go? :rotfl: In November. Seriously, tell your DH that after that ordeal you need to go to DISNEY!!!

I sure am glad you guys are alright.

JO - is it weird that we keep posting basically the same thing at the same time??? :confused3 :rotfl:

 I guess great MAYer minds think alike! :snooty:

:rotfl2:

Thanks Jo and Shelly...I don't think we'll be camping for a while! :rolleyes1

Next up is our trip to Chicago to see the Harry Potter exhibition at the Museum of Science and Industry. :woohoo: I'd also like to do a bunch of other stuff while we're there, so I guess we'd need a couple of days. I guess that's coming up next week already! :scared1: I need to get working on that!!!

LOL!

You know we all have that MAYer thing going on....

Mental MAYer Telepathy.:laughing::laughing:

Jo

:scared1: OMG! Trixie! That's terrible! I hope that the camper is OK and you don't need to replace it for your friends.

Glad that your girls weren't a part of all that. :sad2:

*******************************************

Ummm, the twins birthday. Well, lets just say that I have never seen adults act quite so much like children as those two.

Except at Disney. But those kind of grown up's are awesome... LOL. Bob and I are the act like kids grown ups! But, if these were the grown up's acting like kids they would be the ones throwing the tantrums. :lmao:

Earlier that day before I bought their crazy ice cream cake that they had to have I asked Bob to send a text and see if they wanted a traditional one (1/2 vanilla 1/2 chocolate) or if they wanted a Chocolate extreme blizzard cake (which may or may not be what I wanted that night... :rolleyes1) But HEY! I paid for it!!!

They said they didn't care either way. So I bought chocolate. :goodvibes

After I run around and buy drinks and the cake and stuff for that night I show up at home and find out that their mother (who BTW invited everyone to my house) didn't show up and she sent sloppy joe mix and buns for dinner.... Which the 'twins' promptly rolled their eyes at and were like 'Sloppy Joes for any other dinner is fine, but for our birthday dinner' . Really mom?

I swear I am not making this up.

And then later that night they complained about the cake and said that (AND I QUOTE:)

"Next time, we'll just have to go with the regular one"

Next time. LOL. :rotfl2: If they think there's going to be a NEXT time they have officially lost theif minds. :dance3:

This made me laugh out loud...BAM!

When are you going? Where is it? How did you convince your DS that it would be okay???

We leave Friday morning. My DH really needs the break. He has had a hard time losing his coworker. He really needs a get out of town break.
