Morning all! :goodvibes

Glad you got home safe and sound Lake! Also very happy that all of my friends across the border will be able to represent with me this upcoming season.

I need to upload my pics too, I'll try to do that soon.... I just saw Shelly's last night after work and I look like a freaking giant next to you guys. :rotfl:

*Note to self* - Never wear heels again near you two. No matter how small. :lmao:

What dates did you use for WDW? Mine for POP are coming up pretty high... It's a shorter trip than we usually do, and in November (which I am pretty sure is the same 'season' as when we go in May).... Hmm....

Maybe I'll check a mod out too.

I used 3 days the first week of February...but trust me I am still finding the cost VERY high as well, compared to normal. If we are able to do it I have some major budgeting to do. I just find it weird that a moderate is less money. I can do All Star Resorts for less, but I'm not a fan.

I still have a lot of research to do... ex...what would it cost to pay OOP for meals, ect... to try and save somewhere.

We are debating whether to get the DDP or not also. I am going to run some numbers on allears and see what we can do for our next trip...

Generally the DDP is a good savings for us because we like to try expensive foods and experiment while we are on vacation. But, if I continue going to WDW at frequently as I would like to, I am going to have to cut back somewhere - like pay OOP for cheap meals all week and splurge on ONE nice meal.... Or something.

I used to think that going to POP was a great way to save money , I guess Disney has us all figured out now...

Morning!

Sea-- loved loved loved the teapot and cup and saucer with Alice on it! It's so adorable.:lovestruc Glad you guys were able to have a nice time there. It's so nice that in the midst of the chaos, you have a happy place to go to.

NC-- oh wow- prayers for that poor family. I will not go off on my soapbox too much, other than to say that it sickens me how dangerous motorcycles as well as three/four wheelers are. So many senseless, tragic deaths for nothing. We had a little boy here die a few years ago- a fourwheeler he was riding flipped and crushed him. So sad.
Of course, the parents blamed themselves. His brother was in Mcat's class and it was devastating.
Since my motorcycle wreck when I was 22 and dealing with the reality that I could have died, and then having to see a plastic surgeon for the damage to my face--- well, let's just say I've been pretty vocal about how much I hate all those things. Your entire life is not worth a few minutes of fun.

Okay--stepping down now..... I said I wasn't gonna go on a tirade... looks like I failed miserably.
Just hits a nerve, I guess.

Lake- I'm glad you got home and had a wonderful trip. Sounds like you came away with some goodies.

Shelly- aren't you excited for your trip? Have they posted the Nov hours yet?

RF-- I plugged in some May dates for next year to see how much we were looking at- for only 4 days, hoping that they will do the 4/3 deal again-- and yikes!!!! It is high!!!!!!!!!

We may not be true MAYers next year.:sad2:

We'll have to wait and see. If Mark and I go alone, we'll get the DDP- b/c I think, for us-- it is a good deal. We easily could eat over $200 a day in food and snacks- plus you get the mug- and that's what $24 for two?
If we take the kids, we wouldn't use the plan b/c Drew is an "adult"- which is ridiculous, considering he weighs a whopping 63 pounds and eats hardly anything.

Alrighty then.

The painters are here to stain my deck and balcony. I shall leave you all for a minute or two.

:rotfl:

Ok. Well... I'm glad that it's not just me. LOL. Every year I'm like, 'Why is this so much higher than your prices!?!" And you guys are always like, 'Ummmmm, well that's because you always go for like a year and a half" :lmao:

But I priced Sat-Sat like normal people and it was very high.

*Sigh* It looks like I will have to save over $200 a month for the next 15 months in order to pay this off before we go. :scared1:

That's a LOT for us right now. Ugh. I may have to get another job to support my addiction. :rotfl:

Pray for a code---Pray for a code-- Pray for a code-- Pray for a code.

Hi Sea,

Hi Trixie!

Sea- how's everything?

Jo

Hmm, I just realized that tomorrow is my 4 year anniversary with Bob.

Not wedding.... but just since we've been dating.

Just thought I would share

Hello MAYers!

Been out shopping all day. And now I have a pounding headache. :sad2: But all in all it was a pretty successful trip. Got the kids lots of clothes, new shin guards, and soccer cleats. I could have done without that stop at Chuck E cheese though!

Weird- just checking out the 2010 rates..and for the dates I selected, it is telling me that staying at Coronado Springs will be 67.00 cheaper than Pop Century...

Shelly...did you like CS????

I'm off to check out CBR and POR.

UPDATE!!!!!!
and CBR is 10.00 cheaper than CSR.... I may be going moderate this round..interesting!!!!!!! :)

That is weird! A moderate cheaper than a value. And all the moderates not priced the same. . . I bet the website is all messed up as usual.

I got an email today congratulating me on my family's first trip to WDW in November at OKW. :sad2: I don't know how many times I have to call them to get everything all straightened out.

No, we really didn't care for CSR at all. It just wasn't very family friendly. Geared more for adults and conventioneers. The CM's were the rudest people I have ever met in my life! Mari didn't care for it either. But I think Sea liked it.

Hi Jo - it took almost 5 hours to make all the arrangements for my MIL. They move so slow. Doing a short service at the cemetery on Monday - then in a few weeks a memorial service at the church.

I am trying to put together a trip for Lena and I to take in between. We really need to get away. We are so burned out from all this stuff going on.

Sea

Well... I can't say that this was our 1st date. I remember that day too- but not the date.

No, this was the 1st time that Bob said that he was my boyfriend. :goodvibes

I had woken up at my parents house and went to talk to them while they were getting ready for work. While I was laying on their bed I got this TERRIBLE pain in my stomach and back. It got so bad that I was throwing up and Bob woke up and took me to the hosipital.

Well, it turned out that I had kidney stones and the doctor walked into my hospital room to find my mom, dad, brother and Bob all in the room. Needless to say - he was al little stunned to not be able to walk into the room from all of my guests. :rolleyes1

He was like ''Ummm, who are all these people" My mom and dad said who they were and then the doc was like "Are these your brothers" and Bob was like "No, I'm her boyfriend"

I was like Ouch, Owwwww, Owwwwwwwwww Awwwww :cloud9: Owww!!!

:rotfl:

That is what tomorrow is.

Bob tells me 'Happy Kidney Stone Day!' every year.
