It's FINALLY HERE! Our last day of school!

I will be joining all of you in summer time fun!
Packing will begin today and it's off to the cottage in the morning.

I'm taking my DS to the doctor. He has poison ivy from his Memphis trip that will not clear up. Hopefully he can get a shot and be on his way to mending.

Marissa 5th Birthday (Cont'd)

So we are off to wait at the bus stop to get to MK...

It was early enough so we walked around MK for a while before heading to 1900 parkfare for dinner.

I love seeing that castle.... Even though it was a lil more crowded then im use too but hey i'll take it. So as we walked down main st i saw all the walls up from the shops they are refurbishing... to tell you the truth it did take away from the magic of Disney a lil. Plus all over fantasy land there were walls and such. I turned to Marissa and asked her what she wanted to do first and this is what she decided....

THen we were off to ride on the teacups honestly guys i want to say like 5 times.

She didn't want to get off so we didn't have an opportunity to get on anything else because we had to go to the monorail to go to 1900 Parkfare.

Going up the ramp and Marissa got so tired.... it was funny..... but we finally get on the monorail and we were the only ones in that (what do you call those) carts??? well on the first stop a CM got on and he started talking to Marissa in a Donald Duck voice... she absolutly LOVED it.... it was too cute he even sang happy bday to her in Donald's voice. She still talks about it today....

So we get to 1900 parkfare and we go to check in but i saw SO many people waiting i got scared that it would be a long wait. But honestly they took us in less then 10 min. Oh yeah i forgot to tell you guys that I ordered a cake for Marissa. So we go to sit down and Marissa is having a ball meeting all the characters and of course they all say Happy Birthday and they comment on her mask...

So we eat and such then the CM bought out her cake...

It was DELICIOUS... well maybe just a bit too much chocolate but great nonetheless. We honestly only had 2 little pieces and the rest had to go in the garbage. But she had such a great time. I wanted to stay in MK to go on some more rides and watch the late night parade but poor Marissa was SO TIRED.. so we just headed back to POP.... it was a great birthday for her.....

Next up Day 3

There have been several days I have been to MK that I have wanted to stop on that ramp and do the same thing Marissa is doing in this picture! Love it!

NC - you have 2 weeks left.... SO excited for you!!!!!!!!!!!! i wish i had a trip to look forward to but i know it won't be until at least 2012 and now we are thinking of doing a cruise since that is the year i will be graduating from college and getting my RN degree hopefully......

Well summer vacation is finally here.. amazing report cards for both kids...we'll be off to the cottage in about an hour.
When we are coming home through Toronto I may try to swing by the Harry Potter exhobit that is at the Ontraio Science Center. A surprise for Ethan, who is totally into the books right now. Hopefully we can fit it in.

I can't believe it is less than 2 weeks away! Of course I do not have a single bag out. I think I may buy a new suitcase for this trip. ME only sent me 3 tags. So I think in order to get everything packed, we may need one a little bigger. I have a HUGE suitcase, but it is very heavy and then if you pack it, it is sure to be over 50 lbs. I am thinking of getting one a little smaller than it. Maybe that will do the trick, and I will be able to pack it without going over 50 lbs.

If you have time I would love to read more about your trip.

Well, I am going to the gym, cleaning my office, maybe taking somethings by to Goodwill, and working on my WDW notebook for this trip!

Day 3: AK and MK

It all started when we woke up and I told Marissa we were going to eat with safari Mickey. You see her excitement came because the night before we saw a commercial showing Safari Mickey and she wanted to see him so badly. It worked out great for me since I already had an ADR there.

So off to the dreaded POP bus stop. I'm telling you guys that i think's hit or miss at that stop.... i loved the resort but i hated the bus wait. so we waited there for about 20 min. and it's crazy because the day before I saw 2 buses for AK while I waited for DHS. ugh.... but what can we do..... So the bus finally comes and we are off......

We get to AK

It wasn't as hot to me that day. Well I guess it was more because we were in shade for a lot of the day. So we start to walk over to Tusker house for our breakfast. Marissa was jumping for joy she was so excited to see the characters in Safari gear.....

So we get there and check in..... we waited a whole 5 min before our buzzer thing went off. I LOVED it only being 2 of us.....

She LOVED it. The food was good. I mean i think it's really hard to mess up breakfast. But it was great. I decide that we will do the Safari ride since it's right there. So we honestly waited like 15 min and we got on it. She likes this ride because she gets to see all the animals... for that reason alone is why I think we will probably stay in Animal Kingdom in one of our visits.

But before we get on the ride Marissa sees those face painting kiosk things and begs to get another one.... so i give in....

I did warn her because I knew we were going to go back to the resort and she would want to get in the pool. But she wanted to get it. so what can i do..... So she gets it then we are off to the safari.

So we head out and I ask Marissa what is one of the things she wants to do and guess what she says...

We did that 2 times. She LOVED it. So once we were done there Marissa got a lil hot and wanted to go back... so again we didn't get to explore AK.... but i understood since it was so hot. So we were off to the Resort again. We ate lunch at the POP cafeteria and then off to change into our swimsuits and pool.

More later my dryers just buzzed so off to fold cloths......

Aloha! I am back home! We had a awesome time in Kauai. I will be posting pictures this weekend. Have to catch up with stuff at the office before the holiday weekend and then head out to meet with some friends from Chicago. So this is just a quick "drive-by" to say hello. - Sea

Excellent report!!!! I love the Safari characters at Tusker House. I just think they are so cute. They may be my favorite.

Marissa is so brave. My two kids are still freaked out by It's Tough to be a Bug!. I just don't get it. I asked them the other day if they wanted to do that show and they were like, "No Way!" So I am very impressed that Marissa did it twice!
