I'm actually in the market for a new camera the one you have is the Canon on your signature.... i LOVED the pics that i think the setting is miniture or something... please correct me if i am wrong..... NC - Back from Toyota yet? Your trip is coming up fast - did you make any dining reservations yet?

I ended up spending over 3 hours there yesterday. I went to have my oil changed, and tire rotated. Well, I needed a new battery which was covered under warrenty. And they found a nail in one of my tires. I was just there a week ago because my tire pressure indicator light was on and they couldn't find anything. They were able to repair the tire which was covered by warrenty as well.

I do have ADRs. I will post them in a minute.

Fri - DHS - Sci Fi lunch

Sat. - Lunch at T-Rex - not sure about other plans.

Sun - Epcot - Lunch at LeCellier!!!

Mon - DHS - Dinner at 50's PT

Tues - MK

Wed. - Go home

The tornado touched down in Monroe Michigan...jumped over the water, then touched down about 2 miles from my house. It was loud, obviously very windy, and the lightning was unbelievable. At 11 pm last night it looked like 2 in the afternoon. There was so much continuous lightning it looked like daylight outside.

Hi MAYers- I've been MIA this week. I've had lots going on and not much motivation to DIS. It's been a tough week at my house.

So here's my miserable week in a nutshell...
I got caught in a terrible storm the other night and my minivan looks like this now thanks to some hail

We are taking it Tuesday to be fixed.

Jason's Dad goes for surgery on July 30th. It's risky but it's his last chance so we are supporting him.

My sister called last night to let me know that my BIL's little cousin lost his 3 year battle with cancer. He was only 13yrs old. I never met him but as a mother I couldn't imagine whispering into your child's ear that he will be in heaven soon and it's safe there. Absolutely heartbreaking. Then she tells me that she's taking my nephew (he's 14) this morning for testing because they found protein in his urine and his blood pressure was sky high. My BIL has kidney disease so they are concerned.

My only good news this week is that I got a letter in the mail from my doctor saying that my cholesterol is down from 220 last year to 180 this year. I've been working hard to get it there. DH however is another story. He's not been on the healthy eating bandwagon with me and I think his results scared him a little. He ate oatmeal before going to work this morning. I've known him for over 13 years and have never once seen him eat oatmeal.

So- next week has GOT to be better!!!!! I'm really trying to focus on the positives because lately I feel like life is throwing me a little too much negative. I don't have any daycare kids and am looking forward to spending some time with Andrew & Emily.We're going to the pool and we may even go see TS3 again just because it was so good the first time around!!!



Sea- Looks like you're having lots of fun with your new camera! Have fun in Hawaii. I couldn't even begin to think what octopus chips would taste like! Congrats on booking your WDW trip!

Mari- Loving your TR! Boy it sure looked hot there!

Lake- Had fun reading your MAYer meet TR! Cedar Point sounds like lots of fun! Crazy you had an earthquake!

Kim- I am so sorry you week has been so emotional, sad and hard.
Our family will be thinking of you all and saying prayers for Jason's dad, and for your BIL's cousin's family. How terrible to lose a child.

I hope you are able to get the van fixed and it doens't break the bank to do so.

Jason and I plan to get back to a healthier routine ourselves this summer. It's hard, but I want to be around for a long time to see my grandchildren grow. I also want to get moving on it, as I want to be in top shape for the cuise.


I'm glad you liked my mini TR about Cedar Point.
It is fun.

It's been quiet on the board... but I ma used to it each year since you all get out of school so much earlier and are out and about enjoying your holidays...I'll be doing the same myself soon.
School ends tuesday, then we leave early wednesday morning for the cottage... I can't wait.

Marissa's 5th Bday in WDW .........

Our morning started off early. We got up around 7:30 to get ready for out 8:45 ADR.... So I finished my shower and started singing Happy Birthday to Marissa and she just turns to me and says "it's my birthday" and she got a little look on her face and then says "so that means i'm the princess and we have to do what i want" i just giggled at her and said yes. So we got ready and off we went to DHS.

We got to the bus and there were like 6 people in front of us but in a matter of like 10 min the line got SO LONG.... but as long as we were in the front i didn't mind. So again we waited for like 20 min.

So the bus finally gets there and Marissa has something with sitting all the way in the back so she heads straight back there and I snapped a pic before anyone got on....

So we get to DHS and i notice all the people waiting to get into the park. I guess it didn't open til 9 that morning. So i go right by and go to the CM and tell him that we have an ADR and straight into the park we go. Marissa asked me if they let us in cause it was her bday and she had her bday pin on. I just turned and told her yes..... i have NEVER seen the park without anyone there.... so i quickly snapped a pic...

I love the fact that I was able to get that pic. Especially since it was her bday. This is one of those pics that I will make a lil bigger and hang up.

So we get to Hollywood and Vine. We were seated right away we didn't even wait 5 min. So we walk in and start eating when all of a sudden the waitress brings over a cupcake for her bday and then they have the celebration thing and Jojo the clown comes over and sings to Marissa. And they gave her a bday card with all their autographs on her. That was cute and she loves the card.

So we finish our meal and we are off to explore the park. We rushed over to TSM and the line is 60 min wait. But once we get on the line the CM comes over to the couple in front of us and she tells them that it is actually like a 90min wait. I decided to get a FP and it was for us to come back at 2pm. so we decided to go take pics with Buzz and Woody... we got on that line and it was a little slow but they have it set up nice so you can take pics throughout the wait..

It was great for Marissa especially since she is all Toy story lately because of the fact that the movie was to be released. So we finish with the characters and walk out and i see that the TSM line is actually ALOT shorter then it was before so we decide to just wait on line.... in total it was about a 45 min wait so not bad especially since it was in AC.

It was so HOT that day... Poor marissa didn't even want to stay in the park after that. I felt so bad cause it really was hot so we head back to the resort.

Once we get there she starts to ask to go in the pool and i told her yes. So we went to the room got changed and off to the pool....

So we relaxed there until about 3pm then off to the room we went. Marissa took a lil nap about 1 hour, I watched tv and relaxed. when she got up we got ready and off to MK we went......

More later Marissa just woke up and wants breakfast and such......

Kim - So sorry about your week. My DHs SUV was totaled last summer due to hail. I hope they are able to fix your minivan. I hope the weekend goes better for you!

Mari - Love the update. Your room was right by the pool. Was it loud there? I have never had a preferred room as I was afraid that it would be loud by the pool.

Wow! It just seems like it will never end! I bet that is what the kids are saying. My brain just cannot seem to wrap around that.

I really wish we were out around the first weekend in May. It is so hot here now you just really can't enjoy the outdoors in the afternoon.

I pick the kids up from camp this afternoon. We will see how they enjoyed camp this year. I know we had a record high on Monday. It is the hottest camp for them ever.

We are always out of school for July and August only. We won't go back until September 7th. I guess we have a longer school year than most. But I'm not against it, with the kids learning and all.

To be honest I am kind of sad the school year is coming to an end. My baby will be moving onto first grade and I am feeling a bit sad that come september I will lose my special days with her. I am very happy for her to begin this next step, but have a feeling I will be lonely in my empty house.

So I am planning to make the most out of summer..and find lots of fun things to do together.

Trips to the cottage, visists to the zoo, craft days, swimming days, picnic days, ect...

Just lonely little me here. All my friends are off vacationing and playing with their kids who have been out of school for weeks.

My baby graduates kindergarten today!
And Ethan finishes tomorrow.

I see that the MAYers have been not very busy.

I think our thread may be dying a slow death. If it goes off the deep end of the ocean, that's okay..... we've been talking elsewhere for a while anyway!!!

I hope you are feeling well, and everyone at your house is happy and healthy as well.
So happy to hear you have gone home for a visit. I am currently reading PAWLEY'S ISLAND right now. So I am doing a bit of Carolina Loving myself. LOL It's my way of not so subtly trying to tell Jason another visit is in our future .

Thanks for checking in. Hopefully the MAYER board will be around for a while yet...but if something happens we can always find one another somewhere on the Dis I imagine, or elsewhere.
