Hi...popping in on break...

Jo, the thread isn't dead! You know the Mayer thread will never die. It slows down from time to time, but it gives us a chance to all stay in touch, and we can share the excitement of each others' trips! No matter when we go, no matter if it's WDW or DL...or DL in Hong Kong, or Paris, or Tokyo, or a Disney Cruise...once a Mayer, ALWAYS A MAYER!!!

We are getting so excited about our trip! Sea, will Chris be with you guys? We'll be meeting up on the 19th, so that would be cool to see him right before his bday! I'm sure we will only do DL since you guys are coming after work, so not enough time for both parks that night. I want to see one set of Elvis (it's the only night Scott is doing his show that we'll be there) and fireworks for sure, and I'm open for the rest! What time and where do you guys want to meet? Will you have had dinner, or do you want to have dinner together? You've got my cell number and I have yours, unless it's changed... Love the merchandise pics. One thing you showed a few months back was (I think) like a little notepad but the papers looked like the old A-E ticket books. I'd love to find one of those -- hope they are still selling them somewhere! I am imagining a scrapbook page with those scattered around the ride pics...

Kim, the daycare looks great! Reminds me of when I homeschooled my kids, except your play area is neat and organized, and ours....was not.

From what I have heard, AIW is pretty intense for young kiddos - but it is a lot of fun.

Sea-- D'oh! I forgot Chris and Mcat share their birthdays! How crazy that LA has gone nuts over AIW. Mark was thinking of taking the kids while I'm out of town to see it- still not sure if Belle would make it thru or not without being scared to death. "Off with your head!"
Oh and your Capa zappa frappa whappa (Mark's name for it) is coming right up! It's so much fun..... I just had one. Love the foamy milk part! It takes so little to entertain me. After I got it on Saturday night- I kept looking at the clock every hour to see if it was time to get up to play with my new toy. I'm bad as the kids.

Oh yeah- one of my BFF's growing up was named Lena. SHe had the most gorgeous hair I'd ever seen. I was always very jealous of her.

Yes, we will be leaving from Lena's school around 3:45. It will probably take about 1-1.5 hours to get to DL depending on the traffic. Yes, Chris will be with us and maybe Jeremy if he isn't working. So, I would say around 5-5:30 p.m when we could get there. We will call you when we leave town.

We could do dinner together - that will be great! Blue Bayou? Plaza Inn? River Belle? French Market?

Yes, they still have the ticket book note pads.

So far, I've got Cafe Orleans (probably Thurs), Napa Rose (for our anniversary on Wed ), and probably Ralph Brennan's (Tues night) on my list. Oh, and breakfast with Stitch at PP before we head home. Is Plaza Inn good for dinner? We had a character breakfast there a long time ago, but I remember we liked it. Or if you guys are thinking more budget, we'd be fine with River Belle or Rancho del Zocalo...

~ Corn dog from the cart on Main St (this one is new for me, only had it once, but it was the best dang corn dog I've ever had! And the cart is closed for refurb on my trip, boo...wonder if the ones in DCA are as good?)
~ Monte Cristo from Cafe Orleans (but gotta share it because it's too much for one person)

Oh, you got to try the stuffed baked potatoes in Fantasyland now. Very tasty!

Yes, the corn dogs are the same in DCA as DL. You can get them at the Bountiful Valley Farmers Market next door to Bugsland.
