Been working all day, so I missed my DIS time. Now I have to take care of the family! So just checking in real quick. . .

I don't think I told you guys -- I quit the job at the salon about a week into it. It really wasn't all that I thought it was going to be, plus the school called me to see if I would be interested in going on the substitute list. So I thought I'd give that a try and wanted to be available everyday. I have been called in a few times already, mostly working in Learning Support. I like it a lot, it's going really well!

It is going great at the school. I love it! So far I have worked with grades 3-6. I only signed up to sub for grades K-6 for now. I thought I'd give that a try before working in the middle and high school!

I haven't worked in DS8's building yet. Last week one day I worked in the room right next to DS10. He thought that was very cool and we even got to have lunch together! Yesterday I was in his building but never got to see him all day. I never know where I'll be until I get there. They just call me around 6:00AM and ask me if I can work and tell me which building to go to (our district has several buildings). The kids don't seem to be embarrassed by me yet! I'm guessing it probably won't be long though!

OMG. My patio awning just caved in (from snow and a tree that came down) and is completely flush up against the back of my house. It's right up onmy sliding glass door and now my door will barely open.

Well, today in the "blast to the past" department, I present to you my wife's Grad Nite photo with yours truly. I know it is confusing, so let me set it straight for you. My wife graduated from high school in 1979 and she took me to her Grad Nite at DL. I graduated in 1980 and I took her to my Grad Nite.

Yup, a three piece suit again.

Papa Doo Run Run! They played at DL as the "house band" for about 15 years. They do a lot of cover songs of the Beach Boys, Jan and Dean, Etc.

Oh yeah.... except the fact that my awning is pushed up against my sliding glass door and my gutters collapsed.

Sea - The forecast is in the 30's this weekend and sunny, but the snow is supposed to start back up again Monday and go all week again.

I'm so sick of winter.

I talked to my insurance agent and they said to be patient, there has been 5,500 claims in the past 3 weeks just to Erie Insurance. So, she is *hoping* they'll call in the next 24 hours But I was basically told not to hold my breath and to call if no one has contacted me by Monday afternoon.

I didn't realize the snow was supposed to start back up next week RF. Have you heard the statistics? If we get another 1/2 inch of snow this will be the most snow on record for February. Woohoo, not really a record I was wanting to break.
