Chloe is carrying a nosegay of red roses, with hand tied ribbons. I currently have white ribbon since she is wearing white gloes. All the girls wear white gloves. I think it is required.

I would love to change to black gloves but I am not sure where to find them. :lmao: Plus, we don't want to be the only person wearing black gloves. :scared1: It would be more that a 12 year old girl could handle! :lmao:

Chloe's dress is adorable. She will be beautiful in it.

Which dress are you most comfortable in????:goodvibes That is always of utmost importance to me.:lmao:

I knew I loved my AP dress as soon as I put it on- but it fit like a glove. I wore my rhinestone shoes-- medium heel, with diamond drop earrings, no necklace, but wore the diamond bracelet Mark gave me for Christmas one year. I think a necklace with it would have been nice though.

My thought son the two dresses you posted----- the AP one is sophisticated elegance, the ND one from Belks is nice- I just don't know if it's "elegant". KWIM?

Yes it is a balmy 10 degrees out in our neck of the woods. Polar bear plunge anyone?

Well, they had the AP dress in black in a size tiny, that I didn't think I could get my J Lo junk in trunk booty into. And with the give that this dress has, I was able to zip it and it didn't pucker or pull or lay funny. Debra at Dillard's who helped me said, "That looks amazing but can you breathe?" My response was that I could breathe but I felt like a mermaid, like my legs were bound up and would be afraid to sit down. :rotfl: So, she went back to look for the next size up. They didn't have it in black, but had it in brown. It is much more comfortable, and no more mermaid legs. I hate having mermaid legs. Plus, brown looks better on me than black.

So, that being said they are equally comfortable.

I went to a couple of boutique's but their dresses were either cut too low at the top or too high at the bottom.

I love :lovestruc the AP dress. I just can't believe that DH liked the other dress better. :confused3

I'm surprised your Dh didn't love that dress on you! :confused3

Maybe he loved it and was secretly afraid everyone would be staring gaga over you. ;) I know what that dress does for a lady's figure!:thumbsup2 When Mark looked at me with it on- he said--- "Bend over- can you sit? Can you walk?" I said "I'm not going to bend over all night!" He said "What if you drop something and need to pick it up?" I said "That's what I have you for, honey, besides, I don't bunk my BEHIND up in the air in order to squat down!":lmao:

I know the mermaid walk--- more like a penguin walk!:goodvibes

ETA---- did you try Cache'?? Some of their gowns are beautiful. Some of them are skanky- you have to be selective!

I didn't try Cache. I love them :lovestruc and have a dress I wore for Heart Ball and one I wore in Vegas. The one I wore in Vegas I would wear out on a date here with DH, but I wouldn't wear it to this event. It's not skanky but is very sexy. The heart ball dress I would wear, but it is long but for 6th grade they only wear short dresses, 8th grade Holly Ball they wear long dresses.

Now my Dh wishes every stitch of clothes I wore came from Cache. When I pick something up at LOFT, he is never thrilled, but when I pick it up at Cache... different story.

RF - That is so cool about your sister going with you to WDW. She will have a blast!

NC - 9 degrees? Yikes, it got down to 43 here the other day and I was complaining. No more complaining. Nice dresses btw!

Jo - Let me know the dates of your May trip. Chris' HS graduation is near the end of that month. Maybe my wife and I can do a "weekend getaway" to WDW to meet up with you.

I would love to stay at Grand Cayman for a week. This is such a beautiful island. Very quiet and peaceful, but modern and it has every amenity you would ever need to relax and get rested up. We are definitely coming back here soon!

Another snowday. :scared:

It is actually pretty bad outside right now, but it still could be much worse. I'm really hoping the girls have school tomorrow. Both of them have student teachers whose last days are tomorrow. Even DD10 (who wishes for a snowday every day) said, "I sure hope we have school tomorrow! I want to say good-bye to Mr. 'Student Teacher' ". Awwww.

Remember how I never saw Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince in the theater? I rented it the other day and haven't been able to watch it with the girls home. I even kept it an extra day (hoping to watch it during the day today) and now it's late and I still haven't seen it. Bummer. Good thing I'm getting a copy for Christmas!! :santa:

What else? We got our tree up and all decorated. I'll try to get a pic up soon. I need to get the tree skirt situated first.

MP is swimming this weekend in Maryland. Are you going, Monny??? :rotfl:

Lake~I can't remember if you're into Harry Potter, but I just got an e-mail that the exhibition thingie I went to in Chicago this summer (which is in Boston right now) is coming to Toronto next! Time to get our passports, methinks!!! I'm very excited to see it again! It was amazing!

Sea, thanks for the pics. You're really making me want to take a trip!!! I think I would have been VERY uncomfortable in that submarine. Kinda close quarters for me. I hope everyone smellled okay!

NC~I love ALL of the dresses! I'm glad I don't have to make that decision! DD7 was sitting next to me when one of the pics came up and she just gasped. She's a little fashionista!

RF~how old is your sister?

HI! to everyone else! :grouphug:

Sea - Could you REALLY see the colors in the under the sea? DH and I went in one on our honey moon and everything was just blue. :confused3 I wonder if ours went too deep. I was really let down and thought I much preferred snorkling.

It must have been Chloe's dress. It takes a girl's breathe away!

NC-The closer you got to the sea life and to the coral you could see the colors more distinctly. However, you are correct, it does look like a lot of blue and the pictures do affirm that, because of the light changes the reflection of the colors as you get deeper. Still, the beauty of the ocean was breathtaking. -Sea

Thank you Trix - I didn't feel trapped in the sub. It was quite nice actually. They had nice cool air at each porthole coming out and nobody smelled bad either. I would do it again!

Love the waterslide! And those nachos look so good.

Looks like you guys had a blast!

I didn't know about Lulu's - have to check that out. Yea, that water slide was definitely a hit with our family. Never seen that before in a restaurant. LOL!

RF - i can't wait to hear what you finally decided to go with for your sis and the WDW trip...

Thanks Mari! Again - all of this is contingent on my dad's company. It seems like a lot is lately.... But it looks pretty good though! :goodvibes I am definitely leaning towards a coupon book/scavanger hunt type of a thing. :yay:

Hi everyone!

Quick pop in...

Sea- Love the cruise pics! Only JB would come up with the great idea to put a waterslide in a restaurant! And uh Richard :rolleyes1 well let's just say thanks for the laugh. :lmao: Your famiyl is beautiful BTW- you and your pirate loving wife look so happy together.

RF- Good luck with the surprise for your sister! I'm surprising my kids this Christmas with our trip and am doing a treasure hunt- much easier than one you plan for your sister though I'm sure! Once they follow the clues they'll find a big box filled with balloons, some Disney T-shirts, a letter telling them that they are going to Disney in 28 days and a countdown chain for each of them.

Trixie- Hope you get to see HP soon! :cloud9:

Hi to everyone else! Off to bed now before my DH divorces me for DISing too much!

The sub we went on was in St. Thomas. We may have had to go deeper to see a nice coral reef. Also, I was a mere child at the age of 23, and had no idea what to expect. I know I thought it would like a an underwater video on Wild Kingdom and it wasn't. I was just surprised at the blueness of everything.

It was beautiful. Just VERY blue.

I LOVE the pictures of Hondurus. It looks so quaint and uncommercialized.

What's up next?

Well, I'm off to the gym today. Then I'm having lunch with my friend Lisa. I think I am going to buy some new shoes today for my dress and some jewelry.

Morning all... still crazy cold here.
A bit of a shock to the system actually. I must be getting soft after all these years in Southern Ontario.

Busy week here, a lot of running around. Mainly in preparations for some company this weekend. Plus.....we are hosting my family christmas next weekend with my mom, dad, and sister and her family coming from around Ontraio, and it will be the first time my sister and her family see our new house. Then on christmas eve, there will be 23 people when we host Jason's family.

Lots to do in the next two weeks.

I have been picking up supplies and groceries all week, and planning meals.

If I sound tired already, it is probably because I am. But I am actually really excited about it all. Of course I want everything to be just right and perfect. So the more I get done ahead of time, the more relaxed and easier it will be when everyone is here. Plus seeing as most of these people will be coming here for the very first time... I want it to be a great first impression.

I hope everyone is doing well.
Stay warm.
