ALSO! I got great news today! I am getting a promotion and a raise. This is such a weigt off my shoulders! I am so excited!

So guess what I did MAYers???
I got me a job!Without even looking. A woman from our church called me a few weeks ago to see if I'd like to come work for her at her hair salon & day spa. I had mentioned in conversation to her last summer that I'd like to find something part time someday. Well she remembered and called me out of the blue. I used to do hair, long long ago. I actually still have my cosmetology teaching license. I haven't done it in years, not interested in doing it. Then I was in banking for several years. And now I haven't worked since 2005. Well she thought with my hairstylist background and my banking background that I would be a good fit for her shop, assisting the hairstylists and handling the front desk, books, etc. So I am going to give it a try! I told her I couldn't commit to more than 10-12 hours a week and I would want the summer off and she agreed to it!
So between that and DH's surgery, next week will be hectic for sure.
Happy Sunday MAYers! It's a wet one here. I think we are getting some of your rain too Sea. Rain, rain, and more rain. But hey, at least we don't have to shovel it.
DH got his surgery time. 6:30am tomorrow morning. Not exactly what we wanted to hear. And being that it is workmans comp we have to go where they are sending us - clear on the other side of Pittsburgh. So we will likely be getting up around 4-4:30 tomorrow morning.

I am happy, especially since I have not booked my air coming home, so I can use that credit towards it. 
Just gotta plow forward, one step at a time, I guess, and then the work day will be done. A roofer is coming to look at our roof and give us a repair estimate this afternoon -- we lost a lot of shingles in the storm last week, and that's not something to put off fixing, or the damage could be a lot worse. Not an expense I wanted to take on right now, though...hope it's not too costly. 
I hope all goes well with your roof estimate! 
Stuff like that isn't covered in your homeowners insurance? I need to check mine out.

We weren't planning on using one this year - but we were talking about it with my family last week so it may be an option now.
I did the brushed suede in my bedroom. It wasnt too bad but when you want to repaint it is a pain in theMorning MAYers!

I have a question.... Have any of you ever used Ralph Lauren suede paint? It looks really pretty and I am thinking of using it in my Dining Room and Kitchen... but I don't want it to look like sponge painting because I am not a fan.

He starts physical therapy tomorrow and sees the doctor next Wednesday. So we should know more then.
Everything just keeps going up. Airfare is outrageous anymore. I couldn't tell you the last time I have seen a Ding between PIT and MCO. And I used to get them all the time. We are considering the possibility of driving to WDW in November.
